Easy to set up. Great picture. Blacks pop. The choices of picture viewing are easily customized for a particular show. I had to get used to the small remote,but now I like it better than my directv remote. It is also a microphone that allows you to give the tv verbal commands. The Smart part hooks up thru the internet with no glitches. i got the curve because the tv is in the corner of the room and turned out to look great in that space. I love this TV.

It was time to upgrade, and my previous Samsung TV was heart broken. I had been shopping for about a year comparing 3D, 4K, curved, flat etc before I decided on this one. It is awesome so far the pic is clear and sounds great. Also a shout to the team at the Knoxville Store who went above and beyond, and to the Best Buy customer service who helped get my member number straightened out!

I researched many top selling 4k 55" Smart TVs before picking this one. I did not have a large room so a 55" was fine for me. One of the main criteria for this purchase was viewing angle. The room is wider than it is deeper so I have chairs on both sides of the TV and straight away. The quality of the picture from ALL seats is virtually identical and sharper than I would have expected! I'm extremely pleased with the TV and simplicity of setup. I have 300MB internet service with 4k streaming video to the onboard wireless and have NO issues with jitter or picture quality! DirecTV and a 4k DVD player connected no problem and the smart remote is really awesome! Controls dish, DVD and TV all in one slim package. Very cool! I purchased the 2 year extended warranty through Best Buy as well just because all smart TVs are smarter than me, so I figured I'd have someone else on the hook to fix anything that comes up... which it hasn't. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to upgrade to a 4K TV and doesn't want to spend $2,000 or more for it.

I was hesitant about the curved TV thinking it was some kind of gimmick now that I have it i'm completely sold I don't know why all TVs are made this way and Sam song at the best picture out of all the ones I've use i'm completely sold I don't know why all TVs are made this way and Sam song at the best picture out of all the ones I've viewed....there is no glare whatsoever ....beautiful picture ....easy-to-use ....you name it... I'm really happy with this purchase I looked at all of the 4K ultra curved and flat panel tv's and went with this one and I'm very happy I did it........... in the first week of owning this tv....already two my friends have went and bought the identical set for their houses I cannot recommend this TV enough it's really the best for the price .....compared to the rest what can I say .....go for it

I think this tv is everything I expected....best for what I needed......but what a shame they let a 4 year old design the remote......my wife and daughter love it......but they have small hands......I will recommend this tv to anyone that listens........but will also complain about the teeny tiny remote.....

The color and clarity are terrific. This is the best TV I have ever owned. I paired it with a curved sound bar which increased the experience immensely

I have owned and of course seen many tvs in my life but this has to be the best. Easy set up, perfect sound and the picture is amazing. I was even watching an older movie and I felt the quality looked alive as if I was there. I can't rave enough about it.

I love this TV. The picture quality is excellent! The remote took a bit of getting used to, but it's not difficult at all. So so very satisfied with this purchase.

For the price, this TV gives you good bang for your money. Images/picture looks great TV looks wonderful and its easy to watch from more angles than a straight/regular tv. The applications and options on the TV are wonderful as well. Only two complaints I would have with this TV are the remote interface and speakers/sound. Remote works well, and has a pointer/cursor type feature to it, but is lacking in some of the nice features found on a regular remote. The voice recognition on the remote is almost useless to me. This remote gets the job done, just not as well as the remote on my regular samsung 48" smart TV. The sound quality isn't as good on this TV as it is on my 48" either. I'm sure the curved feature and thickness of the TV have a lot to do with that. Due to this fact, I purchased a sound bar to go with the TV afterwards and it has helped tremendously in that area.

I got my new UN65JS8500 last Tuesday after I accidentaly broke my XBR55X850A, well accidents happens. Anyway, Samsung's new screen panels are called SUHD. Samsung claims that these 10-bit panels can produce 64x times more accurate color and sharper resolution thanks to the Nano Crystal color display compare to current 8-bit UHD panels from other brands. Also these sets are capable of High Dynamic Range (Peak Illuminator PRO) so when HDR content becomes available you will be able to see more striking detail in darkest areas of a picture, brighter whites and wider color accuracy thanks to DCI P3 color space. Now the new TIZEN OS is good but not great, even that this set has a quad core processor sometimes you will experience some hiccups and a bit of lag, this is an area were Sony was wise to stick with Android OS. But I guess this is something that can be fix by future firmware updates. The remote control on the other hand left to much to be desire it's hard to get use to a remote with out numerics keys for quick channel surf, it's like playing with a Wii controller but with out the fun factor. The remote has a sensor that activates the back lit only in a complete dark room, you don't have the option to turn it "on" or "off" at your desire. The JS8500 includes the One Connect Mini as oppose to the 9000 series which include the One Connect Box with more input options and future proof of the hardware. Also this set has a LED Edge-Lit backlight display as his more expensive brother the JS9000, only the JS9500 has a Full Arrange Local Dimming capabilities that will have superior HDR performance. However the JS8500 will do a good job handling HDR but with few limitations because of the display technology

I wasn't too convinced about purchasing a Curved TV, however, this particular style and it's innovation has exceeded all my expectations. I can't get enough of it. It's so sleek, not to mention having to be a smart tv. I love it!!!

I have had this TV for 3 weeks now. The picture quality is excellent! I was amazed at the fact that one could be positioned far to either side of the screen, and still see all of the picture. Much better than a flat scree. The capabilities are many, and even tho the Geek Squad did a great job of setting-up the system and training me, I am still discovering new things about the system. Love it and the Samsung - 6000 Series 6.1-Channel Curved Soundbar.

I normally don't give reviews on products but I hope this info helps. I was looking for a tv with a bigger screen 55 inch range . I did a lot of research And on a budget. I have never had any problems with Samsung tv's and so far this tv is actually pretty awesome to watch movies on .i had my doubts about the curved screen but I'm actually impressed with the picture quality it actually adds depth to movies it's hard to explain it's almost 3d. It has some decent apps, web browser is good .and it does so much more. .

We bought the Curved TV because we had a glare issue with our previous TV (due to some high windows). Also, the Curved TV fit perfectly into our entertainment center. The Curve solved the original glare issue, but actually picks up other reflections (sliding glass doors) ... so we fixed the one problem only to get a different one. Now the TV itself is nice. Picture is clear and there is no distortion with the curved screen. The Smart TV was easy to set-up and is easy to use. Connected well to our existing Cable and Wi-Fi. No complaints about the actual TV or picture. Is curved better than a flat screen? ... not really ... just different.

I am very impressed with this Samsung UHD TV, the picture is awesome and the sound is better than most!

When the samsung curved t.v. first came out, I wanted to purchase it. But I waited for it to go on sale. So glad I did. Got it during the week of Black Friday sales at a great price. Had the Geek Squad come out and place t.v. on the wall. I love, love, love my t.v. Colors are incredible. Purchased a curved soundbar as well. Waiting until the end of the year to purchase the 65" curved t.v. and place in my living and move my 55" t.v. to my bedroom!

The picture in our home seems even better than what we experienced in the store. Love the TV!!

Now with true 4K HD I can watch my favorite television pastor perform exorcisms the way they are meant to be seen. It's like I am really there watching the devil being thrown out of that lovely woman who donated her life savings to help him get a new private plane. If you wanna feel the passion of your favorite televangelist as they plead to keep there mega church open you need this television. Also this television is amazing for watching football, sad it was used to watch the Seahawks lose.
