    Decent TV but my games looked really blurry despite changing settings. Hopefully Samsung can get a tech out to check things out. I'd get another option.

    The first Samsung 8 series TV I bought came on by itself after 3 days randomly. I tried Samsung online help change remote batteries, unplugging peripherals, Etc. After 10 days returned that TV and bought a second Samsung Series 8. This TV lasted about a week before it decided to come ramdomly. Read online this has been a on/off samsung problem since 2015. Returned, done with Samsung. Poor reliability.

    It could be the signal, but disappointed with the clarity of this TV. Demo video shows well, but regular channels not as clear as the Samsung that was replaced!

      The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer your content is to 4K, the better the image will look on the screen.

      Here are some tips to help improve the sharpness.
      1. HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing.

      2. If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box.

      3. Adjust the cable box or satellite box's video output resolution to 1080i.

      4. Look for a channel that is broadcasting native HD content. For over the air/cable antenna connection, try these steps to find HD channels:
      Go to Menu>Settings> Broadcasting> Auto Program

    I brought it brand new I had to wait 3 weeks to watch my television due to the fact it’s basically a computer I open the box first the remote doesn’t connect they send me another it took a week received the remote tv still wouldn’t work someone came out (A week later)they didn’t have the right part they had to order one took another week The mother board was missing

    I am very disappointed in the lack of vivid colors. I have adjusted the color settings and still have a washed out look. I spent more than I planned on based on in store look of the TV and customer reviews. I had a difficult time setting the tv up as nowhere was it indicated you had to have an established Samsung account to fully set the tv up. I had to place multiple calls to Samsung and received conflicting information from customer service.

    Geek Squad did not show at first appointment. After 2 more appointments installation was complete but speakers were connected incorrectly.

    I got this for a basement for hockey games and Xbox. Super easy set up and great picture! 1 month later pixels died and there were black lines on display. Samsung wanted me to schedule a repair that would be weeks away. I took it back and Best Buy replaced it and let me upgrade to a far better Sony! Best Buy Algonquin-your service is incredible!!!!

    Color is horrible on this tv

    Returning this tv. Colors and blacks on this tv are horrible. Reds look like they are faded. it almost look like pastel colors. Very disappointed. I only buy samsung products and this time they did not deliver. Dont know if I got a bad tv set but wont be taking a chance in exchanging it. Going with a different brand

      I am sorry to see that you are not happy with the motion image performance of your Samsung RU8000 TV.
      This TV comes with a feature called Auto Motion Plus that helps to optimize motion image quality
      Here is the step-by-step guide to change Auto Motion Plus settings:
      With the TV powered on, press the Home button on the Samsung remote to open the Home screen

      2) Then select Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Auto Motion Plus
      Note: This option may not be visible initially. Continue scrolling through the Expert Settings Menu to locate Auto Motion Plus

      3) Then Select Auto Motion Plus again, and you will see the following three options:
      a) Off: Auto Motion Plus will always be off
      b) Auto: Auto Motion Plus will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched
      c) Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used

      4) By selecting the Custom option, you can further access these advanced settings:
      a) Judder Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Judder setting.
      b) LED Clear Motion: Select to turn On/Off
      c) Blur Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Blur setting

    It's a good tv. My husband bought this tv thinking it was going to have more depth. We bought it without doing a lot of research. We had it calibrated thinking that would help....... it did not. Our 'old' tv is not a smart tv but the picture quality isn't much different. It's on us..........

    I have the extended warranty. This is the 3rd samsung series 8 I’ve had trouble with. I bought one in sept 2019, returned it oct 2019 which they exchanged because of screen malfunction; now in November, Thursday November 6, 2020 the main circuit board is faulty and, no they can’t return it. It has to be repaired by the geeks. the geeks couldn’t com until today, Wednesday, and after plugging it in and determining that it is indeed the main circuit board, they will have to place an order for parts and can’t come back until next Tuesday. I wouldn’t recommend this tv to my worst enemy. And shop at Best Buy at your own risk. The Magnolia sales supervisors are nonplussed about any responsibility for their products.

    it's junk, sound goes in and out, remote is horrible, powers up without pushing power on button, picture is horrible. save your money and buy a TCL they are half the price. I regret my purchase.

    The quality is the same as my 300 Roku TV

    I bought it for the great specs, but no one can tell the difference between this 800$ tv and my 300 Roku tv. I do regret buying this tv. It’s not worth the money and I can’t return it for a different one.
