Q: What is the real difference between a Samsung 55" series 7 and a 55" series 8 ?
A: The 7 series is 120hz, and the 8 series has a better refresh rate, less blur. More like 240hz. Great for gamers or fast panning of sports. More in depth clarity as well.

A: From what I understand the picture quality difference is basically zero until you step up to at least the q70
A: I just bought this tv in July 2019. I also have experienced the same issue with needing to turn the volume up very high to hear human speech, but then I get very annoyed because the volume is overbearingly high for background noises, sound effects, music, etc. (and I do not have any hearing issues). Overall the sound quality is not great even if you stand in front of the tv. I don’t know Samsung to have a good reputation for sound quality, which is very disappointing when I do like their TVs. Yes, Soundbars are available to optimize sound performance, but they should not be a necessary & pricy addition to the already expensive tv you just bought.

A: 'HDR' stands for High Dynamic Range, and it is the current big thing for 4K TVs and 4K content. The term originates in photography and refers to a technique to heighten a picture's dynamic range – the contrast between the brightest whites and the darkest blacks.
Q: Is this samsung tv 2019, and does it support 3D technology?
A: No it doesn't. I have an older Samsung TV that does support 3D and I find the glasses cumbersome and the programming not good enough yet to bother with.
