The 7 series is 120hz, and the 8 series has a better refresh rate, less blur. More like 240hz. Great for gamers or fast panning of sports. More in depth clarity as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Refresh Rate is biggest difference 120 MHZ in the 8 series. makes action and sports much better to watch - no blurring. The 8 is what I bought Excellent picture
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Refresh Rates. The real refresh rate on the 7 is 60Hz, or according to Samsung's Marketing Department, True Motion (TM) 120. The 8 is 120Hz (aka TM240). Refresh rates are important for fast action videos (no shadowing). If you watch alot of sports, you will think you are looking at the game through a window.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Both tvs are 60hz refresh and both tvs have motion rate 120 which is not the same thing as being 120hz. This is software in the tvs known as black frame insertion for motion interpolation but the big difference is 7000 has 2 hdmi and no voice remote and the au8000 has 3 hdmis and a built in voice remote and a newer color processor
