I must state in truth, this was first of all a fantastic birthday gift from the misses. Ironically due to a mishap from a another retailer in which was a disastrous purchase, the item was completely damaged despite perfectly sealed in the box and all, my wife was devastated as it was to be a surprise. Yet due to my feel for, if you want a better chance for decent to great electronic devices go to a specialist, as we did the following morning. The mount Vernon Best Buy location was awesome, great service was provided, as based upon the sales rep"s recommendations we ended up with this fantastic screen of heart throb, as it is even better than the initial pre-hand purchase. The size is amazing the tech specs are great, the sound and maneuver of the smart features are simply put, cool!!!. truly I must say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!with total contentment of joy.

I think this TV is awesome the picture has a very wide dynamic range nice whites the blacks are solid the color is pretty intense but you can dial it down to a beautiful picture with great backlighting and no mistakes made with this TV I've seen complaints about the audio, sounds good.. if you need more than that then that's what sound bars are for my recommendation is to buy this TV

I wanted a good tv but did not have a deep wallet. I did some research and went into the store with a different tv in mind. After speaking with a gentleman in the tv department about my parameters, he immediately suggested this tv. I’ve been very satisfied with the picture quality, ease of use, and overall experience. Perfect for my needs.

I wanted a bigger TV and went into the store to look. The rep was so helpful in explaning all of the choices to me. I decided on this model and had them install it. It works perfectly in the space I wanted it and I just love the clear picture and all of the smart TV functions.

Perfect image quality and compatibility with PlayStation. Very easy to set up, and aesthetically pleasing. I’ll never buy anything but Samsung again for TVs. Great service and help with no pressure in store as well.

This television is beautiful, gorgeous looking & powerful. Very loud. The remote is unique & the setup is pretty easy for the most part. I love the smart functions & everything connects to your fire stick or Roku with ease. The picture pops especially when you watch films, sitcoms or tv shows in HD or 4K. My mum loves her brand new television she started crying with excitement. This was a early Christmas gift & I definitely appreciate the sales rep for helping me select a TV. Definitely recommend this brand to anyone looking for something new.

It's a great TV in my opinion. Had it for a month now. Wonderful picture. It was an open-box item. Saved close to $200.00. It can be a bit scary buying an open-box item, wondering if there was a valid reason the unit was returned. This unit works perfect. The 240hz motion rate is why I bought it over the less expensive models with 120hz motion rate. The 240hz offers a crisp and blur-free picture for sports and fast action video. Would highly recommend you also go for a unit that has the 240hz motion rate. It's worth it. The newer Samsung remote controls are easy to learn and navigate. The voice control on the remote and TV is nice, though I don't use it much. The Best Buy guy was great. Friendly and knowledgable, and his taking the time to answer my questions was appreciated. There was a Samsung rep' there also, and he was just as great explaining the features of this TV and the higher-priced ones. He was so good I about broke the bank to go for the latest and greatest, but I slapped myself and kept within my budget. Samsung makes a good product.

First I want to say that this tv is awesome. Perfect size for my asymmetrical tv stand. The tv has amazing settings in which to adjust picture and sound quality. And pair it with the Samsung sound bar, best tv I could have ever purchased. The last Samsung tv I had was a 51 inch Magnolia Plasma tv and I did not like that tv at all when it came to picture nor sound quality. I’m glad I did not lose hope in Samsung because my new Samsung series 8 is awesome. I would recommend anyone living apartment style or even for bedroom use to purchase this amazing tv.. you will not regret it! The remote is super stylish and easy to use! I love that it has Netflix and Hulu buttons at which I have both, super convenient. The tv is dark grey and super sleek, not bulky at all.

Went in and was going to get the 6 series and the sales person said they weren’t in stock so I started looking and then saw the 8 series and I couldn’t pass up the price at all. Got 2 one for my daughter and one for my son. Went home mounted it up and the picture quality is great would recommend to buy this tv picture below is how I set up the tv

I was not expecting out of the ordinary based on the price range of the tv model. I always prefer a Samsung brand for tvs. This was installed by Geek Squad techs upon delivery. GS Techs who service our area are reliable , one of them installed our larger tv at the den when we moved in our new home 2 yrs ago. They are not just technically competent but also courteous. We were quite surprised with the new unit as the sound is pretty decent, as we’re planning to get a separate sound system for our new man-woman cave :) it’s inly 4 stars for now as we want to see how this unit performs in the next few months, we will update out comments later.

I had been contemplating a new generation TV to replace my 10-yr old Panasonic Viera. My decision was made due to the sudden death of the 50” Panasonic. I was able to upgrade to a 55” screen. This LED picture is bright and clear. Very good value in the $700 pricepoint.

I had the Mu8000 but it didn't have screwed on legs an it fell when placing it on entrainment stand and then the leg fell out, and caused the T.V. to fall and crack the screen. But now the RU8000, which is just an updated version is got two screws in each leg and more features with 240hz of ram with HDR it is a lot less now too since 8k came out, but the picture is FLAWLESS!

I’m impressed with the picture quality on this TV. The new style remote was confusing at first but now much easier to use than the old style with its many buttons. I love the three buttons that get you Netflix, Prime, and Roku with one push.

For our Great Room this 55" TV is a great size for viewing in a comfy chair or Sofa, or from the Kitchen Island. Color is great, images are very sharp. We couldn't be happier for the quality and price.

This TV offered me everything I was looking for in a television and Best Buy gave me everything I needed in the way of a delivery and installation. Everything was hassle free

Love the TV in the store. Great picture quality, but in less than a year I've had to make 3 service calls each time for random technical issues with the TV. 1st time all the app shortcuts refuse to respond; 2nd time TV come on but no picture. Service tech came out replace the mother board & all seemed to be working until the TV stop responding to the remote. This time I had to troubleshoot by rotating the batteries for it to respond. I'm just afraid that the warranty is gonna run out before I have a real opportunity to replace this TV. I love all my Samsung products but this TV is by far the worst experience!

It was a big step up from my last TV. Sharp picture with rich colors. Sounds in stereo even without the sound bar.
