Great for man cave.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the 7 series first but had to return it as it isn’t really good for watching sports. Return process was a breeze. The “lag” they talk about on the showroom floor is real on the lower models when watching sports and it’s annoying. Exchange was easy and the 8 series gives me what I want - no lag and a bit better picture overall. I also have a new have a 75 inch Samsung 8 series, a 60 inch, a 58 inch old school Panasonic plasma (still awesome) and a 47 inch old school LCD in various rooms, so i know what’s good and bad in medium cost TVs. This is a good one, no complaints. And the Airplay feature is fantastic - it’s the reason I bought Samsung as much as anything else. Is something is on my phone or iPad or computer - I just hit a button and there it is on the big screen. Love it.

Beautiful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this tv after I had to return my LG because the legs were to far apart and it didn’t fit on my media chest and I’m glad I did this tv is gorgeous the only con is that you will need a sound bar the stock speakers on this tv are utter trash but besides the speakers the picture is phenomenal.

Awesome 4K TV
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV provides a great picture quality and the ability to watch movies in 4K. This TV has a game mode which is nice when playing on the Xbox. The remote for the TV is small and very sensitive. It doesn't take much to accidentally hit the Amazon Prime, Hulu, or NetFlix buttons. I only wish there was a way to disable those buttons on the remote and you can turn on only the ones you have a subscription.

Great 55" at a bargain price for normal viewing.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased two to place in our new home, and have had no issues. Packaging was well done, and removal from the packing was very easy, and all of the parts and the main TV were securely wrapped and covered. Install was a breeze, the only issues was the cable clip that goes on the legs is a bit unclear on the way it should face in the directions - the only problem we had with setup. Initial setup was smooth and the connection to Samsung SmartThings made the installation quick and smooth. Once initial setup was completed, Fios TV was immediately connected and working properly. Image is clear and the sound is surprisingly clear. Even in an older house with wood floors, I haven't had to make any adjustments to the audio levels at all. We didn't necessarily need a full real UHD, but it is hard to tell any difference in picture quality or appearance between this TV and a full UHD QLED. Still provides a clear and detailed picture at a much cheaper price. WiFi was strong and I have not had any issues with streaming through the apps once they were installed and configured. The menus can be a bit difficult to navigate through, some configuration options and interface options were buried and required to go through multiple sub menus, but once you get the lay of the land it is not difficult to navigate through the menus. The only issue I have had is configuring my Ring devices through with the TV through SmartThings - it will display the alerts seemingly fast enough, but it can take almost 10 seconds sometimes to load a live view. Not sure if a TV or SmartThings issue, as I dont have any difficulties on the Windows app or the Android or Apple apps.

great picture and easy to install 55" Samsung
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 55 inch Samsung series 8 TV was a joy to install ... much lighter than the plasma it replaced. (so much two people struggled to remove the old one and this could almost be placed by one person. The smart TV part was a no brainer just connect the network cable and in no time we had surround sound linked to the TV as well. It's like having our own movie theater. And the picture is almost too sharp ( but then that could never be)

Fantastic and very rare one of a kind TV
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely fantastic and easily hackable with installable upgrades it can output 2K at 120 frames per second on new consoles with fantastic picture and it has AMD freesync ultimate is TVs and no brainer it's one of the rare TVs they only made for one year and then discontinued because it out performed they're Q60 and rivaled their Q70 but cost half the price I have both and I can assure you to the average user the Q70 and this are identical especially if you buy one I'm someone like me that knows how to going to the service menu and internally upgrade the TV even with features from 2021 but if you don't know what you're doing then don't do it because you can damage the TV just as well as you can upgrade it and there is no guidelines unless you're specifically trained this TV out of the box is fantastic always put your back light all the way up your color all the way up your contrast at 47 and you can put your sharpness all the way up it's not going to make a difference it will make a difference however if you put it to zero this TV needs the sharpness put all the way to high to allow and make the HDR work much better is the Fantastic TV extremely durable will last for years to come 2019 was a fantastic year for TVs I'm glad I snagged this one and that Q70R

Good TV with Input/Sound Issue
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV to replace a 50 inch Vizio 4K. I have owned Samsung TVs prior to this but I am really enjoying the build quality of the monitor. It fit the price budget I was looking for, yet also had some features you only see in premium TVs. The TV's picture is very good. It is very sharp and the colors are bright. The interface that supports the streaming services is very user friendly and also supports Apple TV. It has plenty of inputs to support multiple devices, however I have found the smart TV functions are fast enough and effective at replacing any streaming device you have which saves you an HDMI input. The one issue I have had with this TV is using the HDMI ARC input paired with a Samsung sound bar. It kept disconnecting and switching to the TV speaker every time I turned the TV off then I would have to connect using the set-up process every time I used my TV. I called Samsung multiple times. They sent a repair person to my house and he said he fixed the issue however it just started again. I called Samsung again and they wanted to repeat the service step again. I would say that one of the points I considered when offering this review is the customer support from Samsung which I felt overall was not very strong. I did eventually speak to a BestBuy tech that helped me solve the issue which involved me not using the HDMI ARC input. Good job to BestBuy for knowing more about how to help solve issues with the product specialists at Samsung. I am still disappointed Samsung could not get this issue fixed at their level. I would recommend this TV but I would not recommend you to use it paired with a Samsung sound bar or use the HDMI ARC. From reading online reviews I am not the only person that has had issues with Samsung's HDMI ARC input connection.

Very pleased and happy with our choice.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After much deliberation on which TV to purchase, we are extremely pleased with our choice of the Samsung - 55" Class - LED - 8 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR. The picture quality and sound are both excellent. The only issue is the remote which is very difficult to open when we do need to replace the battery. The remote is also quite small and too compact for ease of use.

||Posted . I decided to make my first adult purchase and buy this TV. It has a beautiful picture and the setup is very user friendly! I would highly recommend this TV to everyone. Very nice for the price...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this to upgrade for a 7 year old 40" Samsung 6000 series that we have at a vacation home. The size difference is obvious, but so is the picture. We haven't had much of a chance to watch it so far, nor have we watched a DVD, but for the money, this is a nice set. The only issue i have is the remote. Not many buttons. I need to read up on how to use it.

Awesome TV!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv after having a 34 in Visio tv ever since 2008 - 2009. I figured it was time for a long overdue upgrade. This tv is amazing in clarity and smooth picture. The features on this tv have so much to offer from voice-to-text translation to AI Bixby as well as airplay with my apple iPhone music streaming on Spotify. However, if you’re not used to smart TVs right off the rip, it may be a little challenging to use at first but like anything else it takes a little time and getting used to. Overall, Samsung makes a great 4K, smart tv!

Great tv for a casual viewer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for something bigger than the 40” we had but 65” was just too much. Settled on this, and happy with the decision. Extremely easy to set up and the picture is great. I’m not expert so I have no clue how it stacks up to QLEDs or the million other options out there. If you’re looking for a nice, decently priced functional everyday tv this looks great.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All of our TV's are Samsung and Best Buy always has the best price, service and selection. I do not like to order things without seeing them in the store first. I am so happy that there is a Best Buy close to me, I go there for all my home appliance purchases. The picture is great, the 55" is the perfect size for the application. Everyone is happy!

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture. I went from a 42” to 55” TV so it was a little overwhelming at first but I got over that fast. The picture is so clear. The difference between 1089 and 4K if amazing. The remote took a little time to get used to, perhaps because it’s too simple. There are not many buttons but it does a lot. It has quick links to Netflix, Prime and hulu.

Awesome tv!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love the size and the picture on this tv. The apps and remote are also extremely easy to use and understand. After trying another brand that received over a 4.5 avg stars in the review we realized that we are just Samsung tv people. The Samsung picture quality cannot be beat! BestBuy staff were also super helpful in our purchase.

Easy setup.
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Physical setup was easy. Startup guide very helpful. While choices are available as new services have been offered its not that easy to add. Screen quality is excellent but in a normal sized room some of the descriptors do not have an effect on picture quality. Remote was all guesswork. Best Buy delivery was excellent.
