“I just set up this tv but it have to have the volume on 19 or higher to hear it. Is this right? I have it set on tv speakers, optimize but does not seem like it should be up this high a level to hear it.”

I just bought this tv in July 2019. I also have experienced the same issue with needing to turn the volume up very high to hear human speech, but then I get very annoyed because the volume is overbearingly high for background noises, sound effects, music, etc. (and I do not have any hearing issues). Overall the sound quality is not great even if you stand in front of the tv. I don’t know Samsung to have a good reputation for sound quality, which is very disappointing when I do like their TVs. Yes, Soundbars are available to optimize sound performance, but they should not be a necessary & pricy addition to the already expensive tv you just bought.

I have another Samsung that is the same, however it does provide louder output when taking signal input from netflix and Amazon. The sound is always much weaker when the input is from cable.
