The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer the signal is to 4K, the better it will look coming out. It is also designed with lots of custom settings, allowing users to adjust images to their liking. However, if this TV is performing worse than a 480p TV, then something is definitely not right.

An average tv at premium pricing

The settings menu is messy and the quality is bad. I had the tv serviced 3 times. Maybe you’ll have better luck than me but between features and quality this average to below average

Great picture but only worked for 2 years

No replacements to be found. No help from Best Buy or Samsung. Repair center recommended by Samsung told me it would cost $650 to fix. The 2019 version of this TV runs about $500. Done with Samsung TV's.

Nice voice control option, responsive remote control. Limited on Smart Hub and apps. Menu has less control, tweaking options than Web and Android OS's. BT control options are different from standard. Hope they stay on top of quality control, minimize the screen and the power supply board components issues.

It has a beautiful picture and Samsung has simplified the remote control and the on screen menu system. The setup couldn't have been any more simple thanks to Samsungs on screen setup directions. The picture is crystal clear and the colors are amazing. You can't go wrong with this TV here folks!

Someone told me that my ISP can't stream 4K but I beg to differ. I bought this because I needed a new TV and I wanted to go with the latest, 4K with HDR. A pleasant surprise is that it was able to connect with my NAS and I am able to watch 1080p videos that I have shot over the years. Does very well with 480p videos also. For the video techies. It plays the following file types: mpg, mov, mp4, mts, m2ts. Does NOT play avi files from the mini-dv camp. I will have to convert those. Also picking up HDTV signals with an outdoor antenna from 60 miles away. I love thjis thing.

I decided to go a step up and get the 4K with HDR, and the picture quality is outstanding. Viewing 4K or even 1080P content is stunning. The Smart TV functions work well, no issues streaming on Netflix, Amazon, or YouTube. Sound is surprisingly good as well. The trimmed down remote is a little unusual to use at first, but doesn't take long to get used to. Overall, this is a great choice for a midrange TV and I am very pleased with it.
