Great TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV for the sale pricing. After doing research and seeing what I actually needed for my Master Bedroom TV, I decided to purchase this Samsung 55" NU6900 4K UHD HDR Smart TV, especially due to the asking sale price. Are there better TV's on the market ...sure, but I wasn't expecting a $1,000 TV for $400. I decided to add a Samsung N450 Soundbar and a Samsung 8500S wireless rear speaker system to enhance the sound experience for my viewing pleasures. After some tweaking and picture adjustments (expert settings), along with ordering the newest/latest 4K DVR cable box (2160p60 4K UHD capabilities) from my cable company and adding quality HDMI cables, I finally have the picture on this TV looking as good or better than some of the more expensive TV's I have throughout my home, but it took some doing ...LOL. The colors and blacks are vibrant adding to a picture that looks great while viewing live sporting events, movies and regular TV, I'm happy with my newly purchased Samsung TV and my entire Samsung Entertainment System. Recommended.

Okay picture quality for $400, nothing special.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for a cheap TV, then this is a TV you should get. However, the picture quality isn't all that great. I did research on this TV because whenever I play games or watch 4k movies, the motion rate does not look like 120 Hz. I found that Samsung's "Motion Rate" of 120 Hz is not 120 Hz refresh rate. The refresh rate is actually 60 Hz. I quick google search on refresh rate vs motion rate can give you conversions of different TV brands. In conclusion, if you just want a cheap 55" TV, this is your go-to. However, for gaming, I don't recommend this. 60 Hz refresh rate is quite poor. There are better options out there.

Great Tv for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV for my bedroom. Didn't need a QLED TV just a 4k TV for Movies and Streaming. Excellent Pre- Black Friday price from Bestbuy. Great clear crisp picture and sound is acceptable. The built in Wifi works ok, but I already had a Roku Ultra that I hooked up to the TV. Actually have to lower the volume when using the Roku. I would recommend a Roku if any issues with Wifi are encountered. Didn't buy for a gaming TV, so I personally don't have issues with 60hz refresh. 4th Samsung TV that I have purchased in the last 10 years. Can't go wrong with a Samsung

Great value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for the black friday price and I’m overall happy with my purchase. I use this mainly for gaming (xbox one x and ps4 pro) and the picture is amazing. The reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because I’ve noticed a weird wavy-ness around my characters whenever they’re moving around on the screen. Like vibration lines. This is the first time I’ve experienced this, and it’s occurred in multiple games, so I have to assume the tv is to blame. If this is a common issue among 4k tvs, send me a comment and let me know. Nonetheless, this tv is worth it for the price.

It's ok.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think I paid way to much. I paid $360 but it's a refurbished "Excellent Certified"" 2017 model. I also paid about $100 bucks for warranty, then had to spend another $50 because I wanted fire TV. I went in for the Toshiba 50" 4k fire TV brand new for $299, but after reading the reviews for it I'm kind of glad I didn't buy that, even though I have a 32" Toshiba fire TV that I LOVE. I'm glad I bought the 5yr geek squad warranty lol! On this Samsung NU6900, after reading the reviews....I am wondering if it has an actual 120 refresh rate, one reviewer said it did not, even though right on the box it states "120 refresh rate!" and he was very convincing. One selling point to me was the refresh rate! I certainly didn't realize this was a "base model" i thought because of the price being so close to the stores regular "new" price, and being refurbished....it was a more mid-range tv, I think they should've had it priced more like $299.99 at best, so If you're listening Best buy....I could use a bit of a refund. I'v had a very difficult time getting the look of the picture to my liking...where as on my 32" Toshiba it was great right out of the box! I would've thought for sure I wouldn't have had to jack with those settings on this TV...not much anyway! While I was trying to figure out how to download a mouse app to turn my remote into a mouse for use with some apps, it was so difficult I finally had to give up due to time spent, I'll have to work on that later! It only has 1 USB, 1 audio optical, 1 HDMI arc, 1 HDMI, 1 lan, and 1 antenna in ports! I had no idea at time of purchase, and would never have thought to ask how many HDMI ports it has...you'd think at minimum 2! And never considered Bluetooth but for a 4k, 55" tv...ya I would expect it If not for anything...for audio! I thought buying a 55" 4k HUD 1260 120 refresh rate tv, it would have everything I need, it doesn't! I have to go buy a splitter...i don't remember what all my son said I needed. I don't know if I want to keep this TV or not?? I really don't! I think the sales man definitely made it out to be much more than it actually is, and I'm sorry but I have always trusted best buy to be straight forward and not have to rely on typical sales tactics. Also, I couldn't do ANYTHING on this TV without first making a new Google account and putting in a credit card, I did NOT like that, I thought it was REDICULOUS! Finally, I was dealing with the settings on both the HDMI smart TV settings and the live TV settings and some how, the volume was gone......on each and every setting of the TV the volume was shown to be working with the little wave bars moving.....but still no sound, and it was NOT muted! All of a sudden, out of the blue the sound came back on! So I don't know if this was a glitch in the TV or if I somehow I hit a weird setting of some sort, but like I said, it was NOT muted anywhere. So there are my concerns and issues....I have not streamed a movie yet, will do that this weekend, and I haven't used a gaming machine or downloaded a game and tried that yet but will hopefully do that this weekend as well to see how this TV performs! I do have the 5yr geek squad warranty, that's one reason I shop best buy! If you have this TV I'm sure you share similar concerns. I don't know if I would recommend this to a friend or not....maybe if it was $299 or less, otherwise....no I don't think I would, get one with more HDMI ports and Bluetooth! I didn't know to ask.

great tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, purchased in 2018… then 3 years later being currently this year, early June 2021, one dark vertical bar or area formed on the far right of the TV and it’s not as much enjoyable. The bar now splitter into two towards the edge of the right of the TV and one near the center but still to the right. How much longer until this TV goes completely black? We bought this back in 2018 to replace a smaller (49” I believe) Samsung HDTV that was just 1080p, that was bought way back in 2012-13 and that lasted longer until 2018 with just about the same problem of dark bars but it’s horizontal. This TV here is a disappointment and though we bought it without a Best Buy protection plan, we’d think this TV would last about 5 more years or so until defects formed. Horribly Samsung customer service said, when I called to explain the symptoms, a repair of taking out and replacing some panel, is $800. I mean c’mon. Of course the answer is get a new TV again, and be smart getting an extended warranty OR, a bit higher priced TV and that the manufacturer included more than their standard one year warranty. But Folks just be sure to get some extended warranty if you buy this exact model, or expect it to last 3 years

Best TV for $400
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price range, this TV is absolutely fantastic. The picture is absolutely gorgeous, the menu options and remote control are thorough, and 4K looks excellent. I haven't been able to stop streaming 4K YouTube channels since I bought it. I've been gaming on anything from Nintendo Switch, Wii U, and PS4 (non Pro even) and everything has been smooth as silk and completely beautiful. The upscale 120hz from its native 60hz is very smooth. My only gripe is that I wish there were more than 2 HDMI cables and one USB port, but that's a minor issue. Some people have complaints about the onboard software, but I don't use any of that junk so I don't care. I use Apple TV 4K and my gaming consoles for everything streaming related (except for the TVs nice built-in 4K compatible YouTube app). Be careful with moving this TV as it is fairly flimsy once you get it out of the box. It's 55" and super light, so that's to be expected.

Great budget 4K TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great budget 4K TV. Previously owned a 60 inch LED, and it's definitely an improvement. Took me a few minutes to figure out why I wasn't getting 4K resolution...my surround sound doesn't support it. So I just plugged my hdmi cable straight into the tv, and used an optical cable for my surround sound. Problem solved.

Great TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I bought this TV as part of the Black Friday specials. Going in I know that generally the TV's that are on sale do lack a few items that the normal baseline models include so the TV lacking an HDMI input did not bother me. I will say that I am thoroughly impressed with this TV. The picture is great, the resolution and refresh rate is awesome for sporting events. (I have Fios service which does add to quality of resolution.) I had a "TV guy" over to watch a sporting event yesterday and he was impressed with it. I will admit I am using for gaming but if that is your intent I would assume that you would want a gaming specific TV. For the price, I am thoroughly happy with this purchase.

Decent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I bought this TV the day after Black Friday because I had an old dinasour TV from 09. To start off the TV had amazing picture and amazing capabilities. The crystal clear picture was amazing especially paired with the Xbox one! Also the smart apps that come included are amazing as well! Now unfortunately for the bad... when I got the TV up and running did all the updates and things needed to get the TV running. However the sound that comes from the TV is so atrocious. No matter what I put on all the voices in the TV sound muffled and just terrible! I tried messing with settings and adjusting things and nothing. Long story short if you’re going to buy this TV make sure to pair with a good sound bar setup because the regular TV sound is terrible!

Great TV for the price, excellent picture quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As long as you're going in knowing this TV is not going to compete with a $2000 TV you are going to love it. For the $400 range this TV has a really nice picture. Other reviews mentioned issues with sound quality but I am happy with it, not top of the line but does a nice job. I wish it had more than 2 HDMI ports but I knew that going in. I planned on using an HDMI matrix switch with it but my Sonos system seems to have some heartache using this TV's Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) with the switch so I am going to have to get a little creative now. Samsungs wall mounting is a bit of a pain, not a show stopper but annoying. Basically some limitations but all in all a great tv for the price; no regrets buying it.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing, especially for price. I was shocked I could get a Samsung at this price. The tv I had before this was Samsung, so I guess I'm loyal to the brand. Great quality- even better when you mess with some of the settings. There was a Sony tv on display same size but over $2,000, amazing quality- they said it was the best tv they had. I took my Samsung home, changed a few settings, and it looks even better than the Sony. So happy with my purchase. Tip- BUY THE WARRANTY. Best Buy has an amazing warranty. For this type of investment, get it.

Excellent TV for me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous TV was a 10 year old 42" plasma 720p resolution Samsung, and I was wanting to upgrade while keeping the cost down. That said, I don't think I could be any happier with my purchase. To my 57 year old eyes, the picture is phenomenal when viewing Blu-ray DVDs and is excellent while watching cable or standard DVDs. It has all the "bells and whistles" I need for sure. Even though this is a 55" Samsung, it is 30 lbs. lighter than my 42" plasma and I paid less for it than I paid for the plasma back in the day!
