    This unit replaced our old 46" Samsung. The picture is brighter and clearer. It was a breeze to put together (we used a generic pedestal stand) instead of the feet that came with the unit. The downside we see is the sound quality. Obviously, as designed the speakers are in the back, so a lot of quality gets lost off the bat. The sound quality is worse than the old 46" model with presumably smaller in size and wattage speakers we replaced. We are considering a soundbar in hopes that it improves the somewhat muffled misdirected sound. A cursory review on prices and user reviews on them leaves much to be desired in doing that. At the price and higher end than the old 46" model, we expected better.

    Amazon Echo Intergration Lacking

    So I'd like to give this tv a much higher rating. I also noticed that no one has mentioned having any problems with the Alexa. So Amazon hung up on me twice and Samsung wasn't much help by telling me I had to contact tier two Amazon support and he could not call on my behalf. So at this point my expectation for automation was low compared to my excitement. So while Alexa can turn off via voice, she cannot turn on the TV. I finally got someone from Amazon that wouldn't hang up at the idea of troubleshooting a problem, however the smartthings skill is quirky. To fix the problem I had to disable then re-enable the skill in the Alexa app. It worked. Then this morning it didn't.

    Screen died after six months

    Screen died after about six months. Replaced it with a 65 inch that started having problems with the sound cutting in and out after year. Extremely poor reliability from Samsung! Do yourself a favor and see what consumers report has to say about Samsung TVs in general and reliability.
