Good Overall
||Posted .This TV replaced another Samsung. It was a 720p resolution model. So clearly a huge upgrade in that respect. All menus and setup are fairly straight forward. I’ve not fiddled with making the picture the best it can be. It is “supposed” to be possible with customized settings which are included. Overall a good set. I am though, unsatisfied with the finish of this model. It was packed and seemed brand new, which is what I presumed I purchased. NOT refurbished. But several of the corners have very rough (scratches) finishes. Nothing on the screen/display mind you-that seems mint. See picture which I could flash and angle where one was most visible. Having said all of that, if the “finish” or details don’t really matter, the picture is very good and recommend for this price point.

I’m in lot
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. So I don’t know if it’s fair to compare to a 12 year old lcd but this is an upgrade for sure, games are breathtaking, shows and movies seem so real. I feel I do have to tweak the color a bit but that might be personal preference. The tiny bezel gives you an amazing full display. The speakers actually sound really good. Samsung has their own live tv which is cool and a bunch of app like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and more. I definitely recommend this tv.

Great TV, Excellent Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. The 55” Q70 QLED tv is a very nice high end addition to our game room at the “open box” amazing price. The picture quality is comparable to our OLED. We have no cons so far. We purchased a replacement remote a WaLa... an amazing purchase.

Great TV but the glare is bad.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I enjoy the TV. Awesome picture. I really enjoy staying in and watching movies in HD movies. Web apps work great. Only real con is the glare (image attached) Almost have to invest in blackout curtains. I believe the Q80 has an anti glare coating but is it worth the extra $300? Depends on the time of day.

Q: QuestionWhat are the differences between the q70 series and the q80 series?
Asked by Scotty.
- A:Answer Q80 better viewing angles than the Q70 and richer colors. However the viewing angles come at a cost. When watching dark scenes the Q80s contrast begins to suffer and it’s hard to make out images. The Q70 does not have this dark scene issue .

Q: QuestionWhat is the factory warranty (consumer reports cites 60 months parts/labor and I'd like to verify). Thanks!
Asked by Steve.
- A:Answer I would like to know also. The Best Buy cites 1 yr parts and labor. BJ's says 5 yrs parts and labor. They tell you to refer to the manual, which you can download from BJ's, it states 5 yrs! But then they offer and extended warranty for $89.

Q: Question1. Is this TV capable of 4k @ 120Hz with freesync? I'd like to use it with a PC with a RTX 2080. 2. How compatible is the TV with all features of the Xbox one x?
Asked by BN010140.
- A:Answer TV can only output 1440p at 120hz. Only tvs with HDMI 2.1 can output 4k at 120hz. There's only a hand full of tvs released this year that have HDMI 2.1. Q70R is a great tv.. Excellent contrast ratio, Black levels are superb and very nice wide color gamut. Very nice HDR. So many great features. Especially, If you buy the tv for gaming. Overall, one of the best tvs this year. You can check the TVs review at RTINGS.COM.
