It was between Samsung and Sony. Might just be in my head because I'm coming from an old crappy 1080p no name tv, but the picture is every way as crisp as I expected. Can't speak for Samsung's UI because all I use is my Nvidia Shield TV.

I was a little skeptical of the whole 4k vs 4k QLED on if there was much of a difference but once I got the TV set up in my living room, I can definitely tell a difference. With the 4k QLED, the image just looks sharper. Highly recommend spending the little extra money on a QLED TV

However, it was only 3.5 years old and it pitched and could not be repaired. I liked it a lot so i purchased another one. I will say I am very disappointed that an expensive TV that was just 3.5 years old would just stop working. I purchased the extended warranty on my new one. It would seem that Samsung could offer a better warranty. I am very curious to discover how long this set lasts.

It was also future-proof when I got it bc it has an HDMI 2.1 port making it fully compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series X!!! You have a lot of control over customizing your picture. The speakers are meh. I recommend a sound bar with this tv, one with a subwoofer if you can.

It was really worth it! If I had to do it again, I'd purchase a larger TV. I've gotten used to the 55 inch and would love to jump up to a 70 or 75 inch.

Hockey my fav Hook up is very easy (even a caveman could do it) 4 HDMI plugs out of old TV, 4 HDMI plugs Into new TV. HDMI 1 cable HDMI 2 ROKU or whatever you may use (I prefer Roku) HDMI 3 BLU RAY PLAYER HDMI 4 Chromecast Your Set Up
