This is probably the best TV I have ever bought. The picture is super sharp and clear. The sound is pretty awesome for TV speakers. 2 minor issues is why I give it 4 stars. The TV will lose internet Evey so often and the way I get it back is to reset the network settings and re connect to WiFi. The other was constant blinking with my Nintendo switch. The only way to fix that is go on the switch and set it to "limited range" on the RGB range or manually set it to 720 p. Other than those 2 issues TV is awesome.

This is the best TV picture of all the tv"s I have ever owned. Sharp, clean, brilliant color. The actors better take really good care of their skin, since this TV shows all. At first, the brightness was an issue, but I was able to adjust that to my satisfaction very easily. Sound quality is superb, even thru the built-in speakers. Do I recommend this TV - ABSOLUTELY!!

QLED provide quality picture once calibrated. User calibration difficult because of complexity of video features and automated brightness and dimming. Would definitely benefit from a professional calibration if one can afford it. Sound quality adequate once adjusted to listener preference. Smart features good with easy installation and use of apps. Recommend this TV with its high quality picture and features.

I am very pleased w new Samsung Q80. It was very easy to set up and has very nice picture quality. I am surprised how good the speakers sound even without a sound bar. I would definitely buy this again.

I rarely write reviews, however, this tv is amazing. I am coming from a 2016 Samsung 4K 55in and upgraded to this Q80 55in. I’m big into electronics my wife not so much. But even she noticed the huge difference in performance. My previous tv had a backlight of 20 and this one has a backlight of 50 and what a difference. The blacks may not be OLED black but you can’t tell a difference in my opinion. The colors pop like no other. We watched Aquaman in 4K and the water scenes were amazing. When the sun was shining through the water, it felt like we had to look away due to how bright the sun was, and the colors around popped like crazy. Very happy with this QLED. And if you’re a gamer, the tv recognized both my ps4 pro and Xbox one X and optimized to them. Game mode pops on automatically and again the games look like new games.

First 4K TV I've owned. Chose this particular model due to the reviews and the fact that it was not susceptible to burn-in. One of the best features of this TV is the wide viewing angle. Most LED TVs have a narrow viewing range. If you're in a room in which your furniture extends past a 30 degree angle to the TV, loss of color and detail is evident. Only OLED TVs and the Samsung Q80 and Q90 TVs can keep that color and detail for viewers not within that cone. My previous TV was a 720P plasma and this TV has a beautiful picture and does a tremendous job of upscaling existing non-4K sources to a near 4K picture.

The quality of the picture is excellent. The smart TV makes viewing so much easier and faster. The volume could be somewhat louder but is still ok and the quality if very good. Would buy again. The help in the Magnolia Room in choosing a tv made a big difference in selection.

Excellent picture. Sound is ok, the reflection off the back wall from the speaker does cause miss direction on our setup. However, the power on switching has been a problem. Numerous times none of our remotes will turn on the TV. I have to unplug the TV and when I plug it back in, it will then work. Of course, a few weeks out of the warranty.

Fabulous clarity and detail with very good color - great TV

We've had this TV for a month and we're very happy with it so far. 4K source material looks gorgeous. HD material looks great. For regular TV watching, turning the color, contrast, and backlight down a bit helps a lot, especially with material like news as it can look a bit too bright and over-saturated with those settings set too high. We watch TV with captions on all the time and blooming was not an issue. The one thing I wish we could turn off is the screen dimming which happens when what's on the screen is low lit. Turning off the Eco setting doesn't help and neither does turning off the Ambient Mode. We read that it's not supposed to dim in Movie mode, which is the mode we keep the TV in, but it still happens. It doesn't come up that often, so it's not a deal breaker, but it would be nice if a future firmware update could fix it.

When i walked in the store i saw a variety of TVs but nothing compared to this one. The quality of the picture was what i was looking for. Price? cant complain, you pay for what you get and i honestly got what i wanted. My wife was excited when i got home and installed this in our room. I highly recommend this TV to everyone.

I'm loving this tv! I had to go through 2 (not from bestbuy but another seller) to get the perf3ct 1. It was well worth it. Picture is beautful, especially for a gamer as myself. I enjoy this tv and you would to.

Bought this to replace a LG 2016 OLED that got burn in(not happy) after changing picture setting looks as good as the OLED without the chance for burn in.

I chose the Q80 because of the positive reviews on the picture quality. I was replacing a 4 year old Samsung 42” 1080P smart tv which had a very nice picture. The picture quality of my new Q80 is also nice but not much better than my replaced tv. I was expecting a substantial difference, with a WOW factor, which didn’t happen. I am told that it is because the broadcasts are not in 4K. I wish that Best Buy had informed me of this before buying.
