Love this monitor. I use it with my PC on a standing desk and no it's not to big to game on. It's a beautiful display, it's 4K and looks great. We'll worth the investment if you are a gamer.

Bought open box. The picture was really great and the curve was awesome but unfortunately the one connect box was faulty and didnt work. I could use the apps on the tv but nothing would connect to hdmi. Tried 3 different computers, 2 game systems, and 7 different cables. Pretty disappointed that best buy didnt check before re-selling. I spent an entire day driving, loading, unloading, setting up, testing, repackaging and returning. Wasted my time and my friend who helped me setup and take down monitor. Best buy did nothing to compensate me for it. Literally spent 3 hours driving to pickup the open box and BB never even factory reset the device or checked it. Store manager never called me back to make it right. Lesson learned. I will never buy an open box samsung device from BB again. Ended up getting a S95f 55” for my monitor and its been awesome. The stand on the ark weighs at least 70 pounds and requires two people to unbox, assemble, and move. The stand is really good, offering tilt and height adjustment. Switching the monitor to portrait mode makes the top 1/3 unusable because your head is tilted so far back to see the screen. Stand was also missing a screw to attach to monitor. Kind of important since there are only 2 screws, so essentially missing half of what connects the stand to the monitor.

There is a reason this monitor is always on sale for $1,000 off of its $3,000 price tag despite this model being less than a year old since release: It is awful quality. For the price of this thing, you would think it would last longer than 5 months but that is not true. It's refresh rate is all over the place, had 3 dead pixels from the moment it was unboxed, software is awful, it gets hardly any firmware updates or support from Samsung, and it fails in reliability just like the rest of the Odyssey lineup. This thing is incredibly heavy and expensive so having to take it down to return it was a huge pain and time consuming. Avoid this monitor like the plague because you will inevitably run into issues sooner or later because Samsung's quality the last few years is a dumpster fire. Also, avoid buying from Best Buy because even when you do return/exchange even with Total Protection, they force you to either exchange it for the same thing or something else with them and you will only get store credit for the balance of the return/exchange regardless of paying cash/debit.

Monitor has worked flawlessly, honestly worth the price. I use to have a 32in gaming monitor but was moving and didn’t want to bring my tv, so found this. Watching things in 4k and being able to play the games I want at a great fps has been awesome.

This is a premium monitor for immersion simulator to VR without the hot uncomfortable head gear. The reason I chose this monitor it the 16:9 ratio that has become hard to find in high end monitors.

The only way I can use the Samsung Ark Gent 2 Monitor with my pc, is if I connect my old monitor to turn on my PC so that the Ark Gen 2 will recognize my pc. After checking for updates, trying a new display port cable and a new HDMI cable it did not fix the problem. I used a different PC, it did not fix the problem. Once I used my old monitor to turn on my PC, I realized it's the ARK Gen 2. I then called Samsung tech support, and they let me know it was a known bug and that they had two fixes for the issue. They had me disconnect the monitor from the wall outlet for 10 seconds and that did not resolve my issue. He had me check for updates and I was up to date. The issues keep coming back once I turn the PC and Monitor off. I really liked the size and curvature of this monitor and hate that I have to take it back. It is a hassle this thing weights about 100 lbs. I do not recommend the Samsung Ark Gen 2

Truly massive 55” Odyssey Ark 2nd Gen Display

The Ark 2023 addressed the main negative feedback the Ark 2022 had. The multiview setting now supports up to 4 inputs simultaneously; DP 2.0, 2 X HDMI 2.1, and HDMI 2.0 on the One Connect Box. The massive 4K curved 55” Micro LED 1000R Curved screen has an amazing picture. One of the drawbacks on Samsung displays were the light bleeding issues. Most of that has been resolved with super dark black levels similar to a OLED. I use my Ark for video games that can take advantage of the 165 Hz display, Steam, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
Notable Features:
• Odyssey Ark 2nd Gen. with enhanced Multi View supports up to four inputs, including an all-new Display Port
• 55" rotating screen with 1000R curve, featuring 4K UHD resolution with 165Hz and 1ms response time and FreeSync™ Premium Pro
• Added KVM Switch for full control of your command center with a single mouse and keyboard
• Cockpit Mode, Eclipse Lighting and Sound Dome Technology for immersive game play
• Two Remotes (Ark Dial and Standard Remote)
• 4 Speakers 2 Subwoofers
Drawbacks:
• Heavy, weighs near 100 lbs takes 2 people to move it
• Display times out fast when nothing is shown
• Display supports up to 32:9, changing the resolution doesn’t seem to do anything in the settings
• Unable to have 2 32:9 aspect ratio’s in multiview or 2 or 3 16:9 and 1 32:9 aspect ratio
• Software is sometimes buggy and freezes up for a few seconds
• PC hates resolution changes when using multiview and sometimes won’t display on the screen in multiview and requires a system reboot
• Price, $3K
If you can get over some of the current drawbacks then this TV/Monitor is a must buy. I’m hoping some of the software issues will be addressed in a future a firmware update. The multiview is amazing using everything except a PC. I recommend not using multiview with a PC since it gets finicky when the resolution changes. If I’m gaming on Steam I’ll sometimes adjust the screen size which adds a immersive background that animates with what’s playing on the screen. I just never use multiview on her unless I’m playing on my Xbox with another input or app. If you can get passed some of these issues and the sticker shock, I recommend this!
