    Good Deal But...

When I first bought the tv it worked okay. The quality of the image is okay. The smart features on the TV are horrible. I tried to stream but the signal kept dropping every 5 minutes. I don't have this problem when streaming on Apple TV. A month and 15 days later a pixel died. It is horribly annoying that the dead pixel is right in the middle of the screen. Let's hope Samsung is willing to fix this issue.

Founded my new best friend. I'm absolutely in love with my new television. I can finally watch television with any amount of lights on...absolutely no glare problem. Glad I made the purchased when it was marked down $449.99. Get it, you won't regret it.

    Great resolution

As we all know Samsung is one of the best TVs in the market. Very good resolution for PS players, and good for movies. The only con for this TV is that it is really slow in responding to the remote, especially when you use the smart hub.

Smart TV does not support watch ESPN App

The first TV had a broken screen out of the box. There was no damage to the box, and I had gingerly brought home the box upright and secure. The second TV worked great, except when trying to use the smart TV feature. Come to find out, the app for watching ESPN "watch ESPN" is not available for this TV. Support says this is an ESPN issue?? Funny, that does not seem to be an issue on any of my other non Samsung devices???

    Never getting a samsung again

I am never getting a samsung tv again. I have already exchanged this tv due to an issue with a light spot in the middle of the screen and the new tv has the same thing just smaller. Not sure if best buy got a bad batch or what but I will be returning this. In addition this tv has that soap opera effect. It feels like you are there watching these people on a set. It's horrible. There is no clear setting for this. You just have to try and fumble through different settings to lower it. I was able to on the first tv but the second it's still there. I don't know how I did it but regard less it's annoying and you will have a more blurry picture when you lower the jutter. The remote buttons are horrible and slow. Sound is okay, but I can't use without a soundbar.

    Very Disappointing TV

I received this TV as a gift from my brother in law, so I'm keeping it rather than cause a rift in the family. If I'd purchased it for myself, it would definitely be going back to the store. Color rendition, especially skin tones, is inconsistent and unnatural, images are often blotchy, it only has two HDMI ports, I can't find an HDMI auto-detect option, the sound is tinny and shallow, and customization options are extremely limited. It's a significant step up in size from my ten year old Philips 42" TV, but aside from the size and the web access (which is awkwardly implemented), it's a major step backwards in quality.

    HDMI PORTS DON'T WORK

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

We are returning our second Samsung 58” Smart TV 5 Series 5190 to the Flower Mound Best Buy. We have hauled two home, unboxed them, set them up and then discovered the HDMI ports do not work. The Best Buy crew member, after returning the first one, said something like, “I hate these promotional TVs. We always have problems with them.” Be warned if you see an open box at a good price. There might be a reason why it was returned not disclosed on the box. A 58 inch TV is a huge one to haul home and unpack only to discover it is has problems.

Didn't even last 4 years. Was watching TV one day, it went off and never could get it to power up again. Paid way too much for this thing to crap out so soon.
