I couldn't resist and pulled the trigger on the ps4 bundled with this for $800! There wasn't much reviews to compare this new model to others but for $500 I was confident with the Samsung brand and specs for the value! I'm coming from an old 32" Curtis and the picture on this new 58" screen is great once you calibrate it to your liking. The 60hz might scare some people away but for those like me who are just into consol gaming and streaming on a monster screen, the motion blur is just not noticeable enough to warrant the more expensive 120hz models..The remote/navigation menu could be faster but all in all for my use its perfect! Had it delivered and set up in my bedroom in 3 days :)

Got the best price at best buy and sales people were most helpful in finding the T.V.for our needs and the size to fit on our current home T.V Stand in which we bought from them 6 years ago and also a Samsung T.V. but only smaller . Love the size 58.7 and its so nice to see such a clear picture and the colors are so vivid. Easy to get around and we have the smart feature which gives us new opprotunities that our other t.v. did not and Best buy had the BEST BUY! SAVED US $200.00 dollars at least and had option for pay on time with no interest!

the picture is very good the problem is the remote . you will need a light to see it at night when entering a channel you will have to search for the enter button as it is near the lower half center of the remoter. this t.v. give me a few more channel's then I had before.with over the air antenna. out side the no backlight in the remote for what I paid it s a very good deal. it is also a very smart set connects is easy. you can check your e mail on it and sound could be better or you could get a sound bar that would help some like it loud.

We bought a 60 in Vizio we have had it for 3 days. We were unhappy with the picture quality. We worked with the settings trying to make it better. Finally, we gave up and went to Best Buy and bought the Samsung. We have had it hooked up for 15 minutes and we are already happier with our purchase!

If you are buying this TV don't buy it based on it's smart tv capabilities. The television freezes all the time and crashes when trying to stream Netflix or Amazon video. I use my Apple TV with it and it works great! The quality of the image is also amazing. Buy this TV as a regular non-smart TV and you will be fine. The stand of the television is big and ideal for the size of the television but it doesn't seam stable. I will be mounting my television instead for stability and security.

I was looking for a television within the $500-$800 price range when I happened upon this model on Bestbuy.com. I had done quite a bit of research before visiting Best Buy, including online reviews, other electronics stores, department stores and big box stores. What drew me to this television were the features and positive reviews. The size was also a plus! Before purchasing, I visited a Best Buy store and spoke with a sales associate, asking their recommendations. I was surprised to learn that this television was released for the holidays and of the 400+ of this model that store had sold, they had only one of these televisions returned. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, it is lightweight considering the size and you can purchase an expanded keyboard remote to make accessing the internet and numerous installed apps easier. Sure, it is not a 4K television but it has great sound and picture. For $599 for a 58 inch LED HDTV, you really can't beat it! I paired this TV with a Sony soundbar, sub woofer and 4K upscaling Blu Ray player which gave me enhanced sound and picture similar to that of the 65 inch LG 4K 3D television I purchased this past year.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. The pictures and color really pop and the Smart TV apps are easy to use and setup. Setup itself is very easy and intuitive. Suggestion, make sure you plug in everything you need to on back before mounting it on the wall. Difficult after...

More features than the 48" - worth the price

I bought the 48" version of this tv, and was disappointed. Best Buy was great and let me exchange it for the 58" - and I am now happy. There is many more features in the programs of the tv. The base it comes with is much better designed, and more stable than the 48". And the speakers are better, with more adjustment capabilities. One of the great parts of the sound adjustments is the "voice mode" - many older people loose the capacity to hear higher pitch tones, and have trouble hearing the voices over the background sounds of the show. The 48 did not have this feature - and it is a must for anyone with hearing difficulties. None of these differences are explained on the best buy website--- what a shame. If your looking for a great, immersive watching experience - this is it. anything less doesn't cut it. (without spending alot more on 4k UHD)- I was so pleased with the speakers, that it almost doesn't need a sound bar- however it is lacking in base, & Motion rate is a little slow. - Those drawbacks are all i can come up with. it is easy to link to my wi-fi, easy to set up, Displays my phone, and much much more. Overall Great. Highly recommended for many reasons!

This tv was bought for an elderly lady who wanted a large screen. The picture on this tv is amazing clear and the smart tv is a nice touch for her to easily watch Netflix or other apps. The price that it was offered at was what sealed the deal for purchase it was the largest size class size for that price point. The only thing that I didn't like was it is limited on HDMI ports which means less things can be plugged into it. Another detractor is the tv is top heavy so it easily wobbles on the base so it might be best to have it anchored to the wall instead of leaving it on the base.

I bought a 60" LED Emerson from WalMart on a whim after passing a display in the store. $498 seemed like a great deal so I tried it out. I have a Samsung plasma that I have been happy with but wanted a larger model, no glossy screen and a TV that was not hot as you got near it. I returned it because the picture quality and sound was abysmal no matter how i calibrated it. Now I had the bug so I stopped by Best Buy to look around. I found this one listed for only $50 more. It is 58" as opposed to 60" which was no big deal and it also had Network capabilities along with Smart features. Bought it, plugged it in and instantly I was amazed at the picture quality compared to the other. Sound was good too. After a week now I am pleased with this TV. It's been fun to tweak to my preferences. The cons to this set I have encountered is that I could not register it online. The serial number does not show up on Samsung's site. Actually, nothing about this TV is on their site. It's like it doesn't exist. The only manual for the TV is on the set itself and it is generic and many parts don't apply to this TV. For example the manual shows the setup for Anynet+ which I am accustomed to with my old set. This one does not have Anynet+. I have managed to setup the TV with my home network and managed to figure out how to Mirror my PC to the TV but it has been a real pain as there is an extreme lack of support in the e-guide and on the net. So if you are not tech savvy you will be frustrated. It also only has two HDMI inputs. Most households have at least three units with HDMI so you will need an HDMI switcher to connect all your devices.

It's an economy tv. Suffers from some flesh tone issues and off center viewing is poor. However, if the family wants a big ole screen and doesn't have to have the latest and greatest, it's a VERY acceptable picture. The better the source, the better the picture. HD is very good and SD is very watchable. I'm completely satisfied with the purchase. For less than $700 I got a huge tv and five year warranty. I sound critical because I want people to know that it's not a $1500 dollar tv for$549. But if budget is tight and you want a large tv, you'll be happy with this one. Don't use smart functions so can't speak to that. Computer is hooked to tv. My sound system does all the hdmi switching so only need one of the tv hdmi ports. There are only two, but there are switches in the $20 dollar range if you need more hdmi connectivity. I like the tv better all the time. No calibration recommendations for this one on line. I looked for a Samsung that appeared to be in the same general product line, used their settings, tweaked a little from there and came up with a nice picture.
