Great TV for this price range
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally decided to upgrade my 7 year old plasma with a 4K tv. I found this at my local best buy as an open box for only $800 so I figured I would give it a try. Yes this is a holiday model so it is not the normal samsung quality, but for me it is great. I do notice that as you move to the side you can start to get a white washing of color, but you really have to be to the side to see it happen. For my room set up every seat it looks great so that is all that matters to me. i love apps you can use like netflix, youtube etc.. The screen looks great even with over the air tv and netflix, video games that are not in 4K (as not a lot of program is yet). All the HDMI and USB ports are on a little box you plug into the tv not the tv itself, but I find it easy to plug things in, you do not have to get behind the TV whihc is a plus. The Component plugs different. It is on port that you plug a wire into that splices out the RBG plugs. I am looking forward to trying the 3D seems you can get glasses at amazon for about $18, So far I am very happy with the purchase.

Very Good TV, Great Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd rate this 4.5 stars if I could. I read every review on here - several times - before I purchased. This is a one-off model made for a "seasonal" type sale, but that doesn't make it a bad TV. In fact, it's very good. I'd rate the TV itself 4 stars. The picture on true 1080p is excellent, and on 4K is out of this world. There's a ton of settings and you can play around with them until you find what you personally like. I haven't tried the 3D, so can't comment on it. The smart apps are excellent and very useful specifically for viewing 4K. The stand is sturdy and nice, one-connect-mini is easy to use, and the sound is really good for such a nominal package. My only issue with the TV is watching some sports. In very fast moving scenes, the action will get a little blurry. I'm not talking about a football being passed across the field, I'm talking about a lot of quick activity in a single place. For example, when they should the confetti scene at the end of the AFC Championship game, the TV really struggled to keep up. Now, I've read it could be my connection or cables, so I will try those out and update, but this has been my only complaint about the TV. It's a 5-star value. No question. To get that size and features in a $1000 pricepoint is excellent. I do recommend this TV, but just in case you have the same issue I've had with sports and can't correct, keep the box until your return period is up.

Nice TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read all the reviews before purchasing this tv. I am very happy with my purchase. It is a great value. The UHD is great. The 3D works great. It does have 3D !! Someone said it didn't, they either reviewed the wrong tv or don't know what they bought. It doesn't come with 3D glasses which would have been nice. I had to order them because my BB store didn't have them. Colors are what i expect from Samsung, SMART features work well. Setup took minutes !!

Great Samsung TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I first saw this TV in January and wondered about the price then read all the reviews and became very sceptical. I read every new review called someone I know in the TV business and I changed my ideas about the TV and decided to see the TV in person and check out other deals. Well the other TV was 1k more and I just could not pay that much more or really want to so I decided to give it a try I bought this TV on the last day of the sale and I have to say that I have been very pleased with my purchase. My previous TV is also a Samsung; a 55" 1080 LED. When I turned my New 60" 4k 3D Samsung on I was surprised by the clearly of the picture it's clear and the 3D works great and even the 2 to 3D is great. I am a very happy camper and glad I did check things out for myself.

Excellent value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First let me say I bought a 70 inch Sharp 3D TV from Best Buy Magnolia room and it lasted less that 2 years. The panel then went out and it was not repairable and not under warranty. And I paid a lot of money for that TV. So I had to replace that TV and this time I was not going to pay a large sum of money. My 70 Sharp HDTV had an awesome picture and 3D was absolutely stunning. I sit about 18 feet from my TV so I needed at least a 55 inch TV. I was a little nervous when I got this 60 inch Samsung home because nowhere on the box does it say it supports 3D. But once I fired it up there were 3D features you can turn on through the menu on the remote. First of all the picture is absolute fabulous, the colors are fantastic, better than my 70 Sharp, 4-color Aquos TV. Then I watched "Despicable Me 2" in 3D and the color, image, and 3D were all better than my 70 in Sharp. This TV upscales everything you watch and it does a very good job upscaling HD to UHD. My wife noticed the difference immediately when she watched her shows on cable. You can buy two types of 3D glasses for either $20 or $50. The cheaper glasses use batteries and work great. The TV even tells you how much battery life you have when you enable the glasses. The disadvantage with these is the batteries only last for maybe 10 full length movies. They do come with a spare battery (two total) so that should have been a hint as to the battery life. But again they work really well. The $50 glasses are rechargeable. So if you watch a lot of 3D might want to consider spending the extra money for the rechargeable glasses. There are options to convert what you are watching to 3D and that works well for some things. One thing I was a little disappointed about is there are no buttons on the remote to manage the 3D. All the 3D options are located in the remote main menu. So you can't just press the 2D->3D button and convert what you are watching to 3D on the fly. You have to go to the menu and to do it but it does have a number of 3D options in the menu. Note: The 3D mode is set to "3D Auto Veiw1" by default. This means that if the TV detects a 3D signal it will automatically switch to 3D and it will tell you to enable your 3D glasses. But here is something I did that was wild. I plugged in a USB stick with all the pictures I took with me and the various presidents in the wax museum in Washington DC and enable 2D-to-3D simulation and voila`. I was looking at my pictures up-converted to UHD in 3D. You get to the 3D options by navigating to menu>picture>3D. Another thing I noticed, is that the picture was a little dark at first. I fixed that by setting the picture mode to "Dynamic". One last little trick. To show off the 4K content, put your TV into the demo mode and impress your friends with a built in 4k video. To put the TV in demo mode navigate to: Support>Use Mode>Store Demo To set it back to home use navigate to: Support>Use Mode>House Use All in all I am very happy with my latest purchase and am looking forward to many years of enjoyment from my new TV.

Great picture and price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I picked this TV up yesterday for my birthday. I was amazed with the price. We had a 10% off coupon from moving into a new house and got the tv for a steal. Picture is crisp and clear. With the 240 refresh rate its like the shows are being filmed in front of us. Video games are awesome on this TV. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great deal on a TV.

Great TV for the money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are the TV geeky type then pay extra for all the better techie hardware stuff that the TV gurus talk about. However, for $1k you are getting a quality picture 4K TV with very good set of features that work. Setup was very easy and the picture quality looks just as good as some of the higher cost models. Of course based upon my eyes only. And that's the bottom line. Get what looks good to your eyes. I learned many years ago not to get hung up on hardware details. Also I purchased this TV from Best Buy without viewing the actual model knowing I could always take it back if it wasn't up to my standards. That's not happening! Again it is a great buy no matter what the specs are.

Good t.v. though there are a few issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this t.v. has a good picture right out of the box. Didn't have to calibrate much. The 3D does work well enough and there are several options for 3D. It has good color and a clear enough picture quality. Pros: Quick and very easy setup. It found all the networks quickly and set up the channels in a flash. WIFI works GREAT! No issues connecting whatsoever. Colors did not wash out when being viewed from the side. Found there is good enough angle viewing with this 60" inch t.v. Dark/gunmetal brushed silverfish bezel trim on this t.v. instead of an all black plastic trim. Weight!!! -- It weighs less than 50 pounds and so much easier to move around. That doesn't mean it's lightweight, however, it's not heavy as most 60" inch and bigger t.v.'s are and therefore much easier to pick up and mount on the wall. 120 Hz. motion rate -- listed on Samsung's website. Has a web-browser Mini-Connect hub box. Therefore no need to step on a step stool to connect and disconnect devices from the t.v. to other game devices (if the tv is mounted on a wall.). All HDMI ports are on this little lightweight box that you connect to the t.v.. This mini-connect box contains the connection for the Digital Audio OUT and 4 HDMI ports that sits lower on a cabinet. Cons: There is noticeable input lag when hitting a button on the remote. It may just be my remote. Seems more tedious to navigate as opposed to the LG remotes. The cable for the Mini -connect box is not more than 4-5 feet which is short, therefore it has to sit lower real close to the t.v. And this cable is proprietary from Samsung so it's not like you can go out and buy an extension longer cable for it. SOUND: Not as good as LG t.v.'s. It's just Okay. There is an option for Clear Voice, Cinema, Wall-mount, or Stand-mount, etc. for the Audio. 3D Glasses are Active not passive so they run on battery. Unknown: Longevity - review is after one day of owning this t.v. Motion Blur - not tested with gaming. Football looked really good with no motion blur at all. Have not tested with high action movie DVD's. Conclusion: Overall would recommend this Samsung t.v.. It's a model number exclusive to Best Buy and brand new. It's similar to Samsung model JU7100 & only comes in this one size. It's a good 3D Smart 4K t.v. for the price which is on sale right now down from $1400. If you need a 60"inch 4K 3D Smart t.v. with a web browser then it's worth looking at this one.

The TV is just OK.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the TV when it was first released. It had no reviews nor did they have it displayed. I had just returned the un60ju6500 because I wasn't impressed with the picture. I do think this had a slightly better picture. It handled fast moving scenes in Apocalypto better than the 6500. However, some of the colors seemed faded on live TV. I noticed that the HDMI input didn't automatically switch back and forth when I went from Satellite to PS4. It did on the 6500. There was more of a lag with the remote on the 7090 too. The little thins were - it had a cheaper power cord, and it was packed with a little less Styrofoam. While that means nothing to most, they were trying to cut some corners. I would imagine they did the same internally. For the price, it was decent. I think the Vizio M series has a better picture. With that being said, I just wasn't that impressed with the picture. I ended up returning the TV. I am going to splurge and go for the 8500 series or perhaps wait until the 2016's come out in the next couple of months.

Can't beat it for the $999 price tag
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I too was a tad hesitant with the thought of purchasing a 4k television for just under a grand..... but it's great for what you pay for. 60 inch, 4k, one connect mini, dims according to how well the room is lit, very good clarity, and it was manufactured and released this current year. everything looks great from cable to Netflix to Blu-ray. granted it may not have the nano crystal since it's a revised 7000 series model, but if you adjust your settings to your liking you won't really miss much. Even review sights comparing 7000 to 8000 series even express such. again, for just under a grand....you won't regret this 4k TV

"Perfect", with a catch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So... I would actually classify this TV as PERFECT, at the price point it is. At $999 (price at Best Buy, during first week of availability). You simply are not going to find a better deal for what you get. This is a full blown 4k unit (not some fancy upscaling). Has all the Smart Features, and apps (Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, Skype, and more). Since I was replacing a TV on the wall, this took about 10 minutes to unbox, add the bracket, up on the wall, and hooked up. The picture is stunning.... I have found a couple 4k sources and it is just amazing. Looking forward to the 4K Blu-Ray player later this year, and more content available. Video games are great (played Forza 6 and it was just amazing). So why Perfect "with a catch". Two main things stopped me from classifying this perfect all the way around. The MiniConnection breakout box, and Remote Control. First the MiniConnection: In my setup, I already have an AV receiver in the mix, that handles all my switching. So I have a single HDMI run through the wall, with power, a Coax (OTA antenna), and a hard-line network. I had to mount this Mini-Breakout box too the wall, behind the TV. As the cable wasn't long enough to run in the wall, and it is custom, and you can't connect the HDMI without it. I would have loved to seen a single adapter, that would have maybe been 6" that would have converted a standard HDMI to the MiniConnector port, and act as HDM1 all the time. Second the remote control: I have a second Samsung TV in the room (right behind). The IR is bouncing off the Glass of this TV, and turning on the second one. There is no adjustment on either TV to work on a separate code base or in RF mode. I would hope that in 2016, and the price points... there would be an option on these TV's to pick at least a 2nd option for the remote. I am going to have to get creative on the 2nd TV, on how to limit the bounce effect for the IR.

Great TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical after reading the bad reviews. But the price allowed me to test drive it. Once you find your settings for your media the picture is Great. I found that the Dynamic setting was not working well for Cable TV. It was too jittery on fast motion images. (With my old Samsung I always used the Dynamic setting.) Popped it on the Natural setting with a few tweeks and BAM! And as far as cables, I don't really need them. The picture quality is great with the old ones I have. But I ordered MONSTER PLATINUM ULTRA cables. It won't hurt. Cable TV will probably be the lowest picture quality on this TV and even that has a great picture. The 4K videos with this TV are amazing. Sound is good as well alone, but I have surround sound so the TV speakers are secondary to me. Definitely an inexpensive upgrade.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disclosure: bought it last night so i have this TV for less than a day prior to buying this TV i had a Samsung - 55" Class/ Model: UN55JS7000FXZA. the TV was great, PQ is really crisp but I'm still longing for a bigger size but don't wanna max out my budget. deal came out on Sunday so i decided to exchange my 55" to this. set up was super easy, WiFi has no issues at all. PQ is great but i think the JS7000 has a much better PQ in terms of color. (maybe I'm missing something?). one issue that i have was i am using a Samsung sound bar Model HW-J550. it was connected with optical cable with my 55" JS7000 and no issue of controlling it via Samsung/Direct TV remote (changing the volume). so i had it connected last night but somehow the TV is not detecting my sound bar if i switch to TV mode so basically, I'm using 2 remotes for the mean time (1 for tv and 1 for sound bar) i read in someone's post to try using HDMI instead of optical so i am yet to find out if i will be able to make it work. I'll find out tonight. but all in all, I'm loving my TV. :)

Best TV & Picture for the money!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading these reviews and debating on whether to buy this TV or splurge and get the newer model, I decided to give it a try. After playing with the TV for 2 days, adjusting the picture, I am in love with this TV. To get the best picture possible, you really need to know how to adjust your TV settings so it is optimizing your satellite/cable, blu ray, PlayStation, or whatever you are viewing. There is not one setting that will make the picture perfect. Not with a TV of this size. You would have to make these adjustments with any TV you would buy. I am completely confident that my Super Bowl experience tonight will be amazing. Google has been my friend researching how to get the best picture possible. You can't copy someone else's settings exactly but you can get a good starting point on how to make your picture perfect. For $999, this TV is a steal!

It is great TV with price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was considering to buy UHD TV as my monitor because I needed enough space to work. So, most important issue was 'Supporting Chroma Sub- sampling 4:4:4 @ 4k 60hz' Answer is YES. I works as monitor with PC mode. As a TV it self, upscaling was better than I expected. As a Monitor, it shows original sources itself as I intended. I don't play Game, so I can't tell about input-rag. Compared with price, it is really best choice as PC monitor.
