    Spendy? Perhaps. Butthis TV is worth every penny in my opinion. The smart remote is great, takes a little getting use to a remote without many buttons. But that said, it is heaps easier to navigate than my older model Samsung Smart TV. Picture quality is fantastic. Only gripe, this TV is bright. Dark room, big white screen can give sensory overload.

    Went to purchase a great priced, basic 60" Samsung to replace our 50". The BestBuy tech showed us this demo, absolutely loved it. It's been a month now and so glad we went this route.

    I purchased the 60 inch 8000 series 4K Samsung TV yesterday. It functioned for 24 hours and then the Standard screen view failed. By failing I mean that the screen suddenly darkened and continued to get darker in just a short time. The Natural screen view still functions, but I have to wonder if that will fail, too. This one will go back to Best Buy tomorrow. I'm thinking I may go for a Sony or LG. I've had several Samsung TVs in the past and found them to produce a great picture. This one has a bright picture, but it does not produce a great black tone, and I think the picture sharpness is also weak.

      Please know that picture darkening might be due to the ECO Sensor or Motion Lighting features. These features automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV in response to ambient light level, and on-screen movements to reduce power consumption.

      To control these features, please go to Home > Settings > System > Eco Solution
      You can select Min. Backlight to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness.

    I bought this TV with a lot of hopes of having a great experience based on reviews. The set up was straight forward. I experienced rude awakening soon with freezing apps. I approached Bestbuy; told me the return period is over and I should call the Geeks. I decided to call Samsung; did that twice. Updated software, reset the TV. changed network setting. Nothing helps. The Samsung guy told me, there is nothing wrong with TV; it's the Apps!!!! Guess what, Samsung loaded the apps on their TV. And I bought this piece of junk partly because of the apps. And there is reason they call this type of TV a smart TV; it's for the apps. I am stuck with the junk unfortunately; would not recommend it to anyone. I wonder why Samsung had trouble with their phones too! Maybe Samsung is going down the tubes.

    Problems right out of the box with 2 units!

    I'm on my second KS8000 (60 inch) within a month's time. Both units refuse to power off. They power back on after 2 minutes and refuse to power off! Samsung Customer Service has been terrible. I had to escalate to the Office of the President to get any attention. Samsung is currently stumped on the problem. Best Buy has been good in trying to help, but it's a Samsung product issue. So far, the second unit has had its IR sensor replaced, the main board replaced and next the power unit will be replaced next week (9/6). Stop the madness!

    60" KS8000 and 65" KS8000 not the same model!

    My best advice for anyone considering the KS8000 series: Avoid 60" and get 55 or 65 KS8000. Why? They are essentially different TVs all together (not just size). I originally purchased the 60" KS8000 and was happy at first, until a day in a noticed an incredible amount of light bleed in the bottom of the screen. Long story short - I exchanged for another set THREE TIMES and the issue persisted. Some were a bit better than others, but they still all had this problem to a great degree. Through a lot of online digging I learned that the 60" is very different than every other size of the KS8000 series. It all relates to the panel. Apparently the panel of 60" was manufactured by a different company and/or a different way...probably a lot cheaper. The 49", 55", and 65" screens all have a arguably better panel. You can tell based on the "Version number" on the sticker. The 60" has the version number EA01 whereas all the others will likely have the version number FA01. I was so convinced by the evidence and user stories that I found online I decided to upgrade to the 65" KS8000 even though it was more expensive (at the time). When I got the 65" set home the difference was amazing. Where before I struggled to watch anything without noticing the bleed now I have to strain to see any indication of it. Granted, its still there but to such a minor degree you wouldnt ever know it. In the end, I am happy with the support I got from BB and ultimately with my Samsung tv. It is a bummer that such discrepancies in quality are found even in different sizes of the same model number and that I had to scour the internet to learn of it. Hopefully this helps someone avoid the mistake I made.

    Bought this t.v. almost 2 years ago, everything seemed to work well and picture was fine. Unfortunately within the last 6 months it has developed vertical banding issues. I expected longer picture quality life than this. My next purchase will be something other than Samsung!

    Bought this TV due to all the great reviews including rtings and CR, but like several of the bad reviews, we had problems right out of the box. Big dark line running vertically up the screen. Very frustrating to go through the time of pick up and set up to only have to box-up and return. Switching back to LG. Had one for 7 years before without issue. Given the number of "problem" reviews, I guess Samsung quality control is lacking. Not surprising as they did release a phone that wasn't so "warmly" received. (Pun intended)

    Horrible TV

    If you can stay away from this TV series, please do so and purchase another brand. I would assume a 2016 version would have improved user interface when it comes to SmartHUB, but I was wrong. Horrible experience after a month, smart HUB is extremely slow, unresponsive, the apps take a long time to load. After reseting TV and trying multiple troubleshooting techniques, I will have to replace it for another brand. I will never again purchase a Samsung TV.

    AWESOME t.v. BUT, unless you want to dedicate a wall, or try to jury-rig a stand to fit on an average sized table, the feet will be WAY too wide. Had to return and get Sony :( Heads up Samsung, make a single pedestal an option.

    The picture on this was horrible. Watching anything with movement caused ghosting and would give me a headache to watch. Don't buy.
