So I hesitated to purchase this TV during the black Friday deals because of the bad reviews. I have purchased Samsung TV's for 10 years now and I have never been disappointed. It is disappointing to only have 2 HDMI inputs but really you should be using an HDMI receiver to handle your multiple outputs. As for the picture it is excellent and the motion is clear with no trails unlike a sharp TV. Also while reading other peoples negative reviews check out the 3D version of this TV. It basically has the same specs and has high reviews. The only thing different is it is a smart TV and why buy a smart TV when you can get a smart Blue Ray Player that does the exact same thing. Anyways I am very happy with this TV and I am sure you will be too. If you do not care about 3D then this is the TV for you.

We were looking at much more expensive TVs, but decided on this one on a reccomendation from a friend. Picture is great. You do need to make some adjustments in the settings, which is really easy. One thing to watch is that this TV doesn't have 3D and only has 2 HDMI ports. This was actually a big reason we chose this model. We have an amp that all our devices run through and we don't like 3D.

The LED was very hard to watch. Caused eye strain from too much motion.

This is a wonderful dumb TV. No smart TV features and only two HDMI connections, with no audio out, means you need an AV system to connect anything other than a cable box and an Apple TV. The sound is about what you'd expect, meaning it's barely OK for regular TV. But hook it to a good AV system with plenty of pass-through HDMI connectors, and TV doesn't get much better than this. The picture is truly great. Even though it's only 120Hz, there is rarely a problem with flicker. Set up is simple, mainly because there is almost nothing to set up. If you have the right attachments, this set is the way to go.

This 65" HDTV is really a very nice TV. It is easy to set up and get running straight out of the box. It has a decent picture and perhaps this is where I am rather particular. I simply was unable to calibrate the picture to my liking even with all the on screen adjustments. And still do not have the sound from the TV speakers to my satisfaction, but I have the TV connected to home audio anyway so no biggie. Back to video calibration. It was recommended to me by a friend that I try using a calibration disc with this set. I had been thinking of up-grading to a Blu-ray disc player so what better time that with a new big screen HDTV. So in addition to that, I purchased the Disney WOW Blu-ray calibration disc and all my adjustments seemed to just fall into place. I recommend this disc. I also recommend this Samsung 65" HDTV to anyone wanting a very nice large screen TV.

The picture is amazing. It takes some getting used to because its so perfect it loses that film quality look when your watching tv shows in hd, but the detail is amazing and what's really cool is its so clear you can now see if someone is just a bad actor, you can see every eye twinkle and wrinkle in their performance. You can adjust it down but don't. Once you get used to it you'll never go back. Although you can really point out bad special effects, your eye now sees them because the detail is so good. You must get the 5 hd wires to truly see in hd. Got them free from the cable guy. But sports like football is sick in hd. Amazing and at 65 inches its worth every penny. Xbox is truly wow. So much detail, games just pop with detail and color. Got it on sale from best buy 1999.00

PLEASE do not pay any attention to the negative reviews from people who clearly do not understand how a TV works! If you send a poor picture into a large TV is simply magnifies all the faults with the picture, just as a smaller TV will sharpen the picture. You have to make sure you have the very best signal going to the TV, such as HD and Blue Ray to really see how great this TV is....sure there are better picture TV's, but they are smaller and will cost $3000-$5000. I purchase mine on black Friday and my one was an open box item, I paid $880 for it and that is a steal! I could have paid $10,000 for a TV, but would not have been happy because of the value. If you are looking for value, size and a great picture, well it doesn't get better! You will need to get creative if you have more than two HDMI sources, this does only have two HDMI plugs. I have mine set up for internet access from an outside source, which frankly makes allot more sense than having it hard wired into the TV itself.

I wanted a big screen tv but did not want to pay a hefty price, plus i did not need 3D or a smart tv just wanted something simple and this tv is great, nice picture good sound and very affordable plus bought the samsung wifi blu ray player for 67$ now it has internet, can`t complain. very good deal for the size.

People, this is a perfectly fine television. Others complaining about lack of features/limited connectivity might need to take note of the product features, which are freely available, before their next purchase. If you are after a large screen television with a good quality image, and without the 'smart tv' features (available anyway if you have an Apple TV or similar) and do not want 3D capability, then this is a great buy. We experienced some marked 'clouding' in the blacker areas of the image for the first day, but a bit of Googling indicated that this was normal and would clear after a few day's use, and in 'massaging' the screen with a soft cloth. This clouding cleared within the first day, and we've enjoyed great images since. We paired it with a Samsung sound bar for added volume, but I think the television's audio is perfectly adequate for everyday use. One thing to note with the sound bar is that you'll require an optical cable to make the connection (the included cable won't do it - strangely!). All up, a great buy for a great television.

I seldom ever write review so this one is not going to be a long one, but I had previously returned a smart 60" series 7100 Samsung tv, actually yesterday, for it's unexpected horrible picture display. I was bummed about that purchase. For $1700 I paid for it, that was not the quality I was expecting, and the thought of maybe having to pay for callibration, blah blah, blah and also found out I did not need the extra 3D and it's "smart" features, for I had a Smart Samsung blu ray. So the Smart tv went back!! I looked online and research this 2012 model, if im not mistaken and saw it on sale at Best Buy for $600 less. I read some of the reviews and also considered the price for it was on sale for $1099. I picked it up and connected last night (coudn't wait!!) The quality surpasses the returned smart tv!!! You might have to tweek the color setting but comparing the picture sharpness, I mean wow!! I might not even have to calibrate it. Im keeping this one. It only, has 2 hdmi but I'm good with that and it has a audio connection for a sound bar. It looks nice mounted on my wall, this tv is for keeps!!!

just received this TV and so far the the HD picture and sound are great, cant complain about that at all. biggest complaint is the stand. it slightly leans forward, and after multiple times of taking the stand apart (two pieces of hard plastic, 8 screws), its consistently slightly leans forward. worse than that though....is the tv wobbles. if you touch it, or even walk by it, the TV wobbles both left and right more than you think it should. make me worry the stand will become even more loose over time, or could easily be knocked over, shouldnt be something i need to worry about.

This is the first Samsung product I ever bought. I was looking for a TV at a reasonable price. We were replacing a 13 year old RCA 60" rear projection TV (which makes me think any TV I bought would have been better than that one). But this one truly is a great buy! The picture quality is amazing on regular DVDs. I expected pretty much excellent quality on blu-ray discs and it did not disappoint. Compared to the Panasonic 42" LCD 1080 TV in our bedroom, this blows it out of the water (and it's not just because it's bigger). Doesn't have 3D, Smart features, or more than two HDMI inputs. I wish it did, but I'm not at the point where I need it. If I had a receiver that could handle HDMI, then this wouldn't be an issue. The sound, though not high quality, is far better than most built-in speakers I've heard recently in new TV's. I wish it had more power to drive the speakers. It does have an actual 5 Band EQ to shape the sound, but I mostly use my home theater system. But, above all, at the price I got it $1799, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The picture just is amazing on this TV.

This is an awesome product, if all you're looking for is a television. There are no SMART features, no 3D and only acceptable sound quality. Now, if you're like me, you already have a SMART Blu-Ray player and/or Home Theater to provide those features, so all you really need is a great picture. This TV provides that! It's not cheap for what amounts to a high-end video monitor, but it's as good a display as I've seen anywhere. Know what you're buying and you'll be happy with this TV, but if you're looking to impress your buddies by telling them about it, find something else. The only way to appreciate it, is to see it hooked up to all the great content on DISH, Blu-Ray, or streamed through another device.

I decided to purchase this television after the tv I was originally after was sold out. It cost a little more than I wanted to pay, but after I got it home I was extremely happy with it. After adjusting the picture to my specific standards, I was literally blown away by the picture quality. I have several HDTV's throughout my home but I can honestly say that there is a distinct difference between the picture quality. It was a great buy at the price I paid, and still worth the money at the current sales price. Don't be fooled by some of the negative reviews. This is a great television and you won't be disappointed.

Perfect TV...I studied for weeks between brands, LED vs. Plasma, functions, etc....Took advantage of the black Friday pricing on a Sunday and got this for $1500..TV is great. ictur is great from all angles. Easily hung on the wall over media fireplace unit....Most impressivse was the sound from a LED.....I had a couple other LEDs and the sound was terrible...This one is really good however with the HT hooked up it didn't really matter.....And if you ever shop the Florence, KY Best Buy look up Travis..Outstanding knowledge and help..The best customer service in any store I have ever had.

first got the 6001 model and it was ok but not as good a picture as i had with my 55" lcd sammie. took it back and got this 6000 model and like it more. picture is great, sound is very good for tv speakers. it is just what i had been wanting for awhile. got it on my bestbuy card, like i have all my bestbuy stuff and as long as you don't miss a payment and pay it off by the end date you are paying the same as cash. if your wanting a tv to just watch tv than this is the one. all i have is a sat. box so very happy, happy, happy.

I adore this year. With some skepticism I picked up one up on Black Friday weekend even after seeing the bad reviews, and boy am I happy I did. It IS light on inputs/outputs. With multiple devices and/or a home theatre a switching receiver is an absolute must. I replaced my ancient Sony with a new Sony hdmi switching receiver when I picked this tv, and thus don't have a complaint in the world. I did initially notice the bright spot in the center on dark screens but after a couple months it seems to have faded, I never notice it anymore. All that's left is a spectacularly bright, crisp, and vibrant picture. I would be completely satisfied with this tv at $1400. Having paid $1000 on Black Friday just makes this set that much sweeter.

If you are looking for a BIG screen with no frills and a fantastic picture at a reasonable price, this is the TV. There are really no bells and whistles to speak of, but I bought it to watch TV, not surf the net. I have had it for a week now. It is hung on the wall in our family room. The picture is amazing. You have to play with the picture settings for a while. As good as the picture is, I can probably get it even better, it just takes time. I am so satisfied with this purchase.

I saw this on super sale here at BB for 1499. Took it home and used some settings from amazon review to configure picture and its amazing. AMAZING! Better than my 47' Panasonic LED by light years. Love it

I LOVE the picture, but I am forced to use 2 remotes (one is for my surround sound that I had to hook up to my satellite receiver), because I can't turn off the front speakers on the TV. If you want a great picture, and don't care about a smart tv, and don't mind using 2 remotes if you want to hook up your sound bar or surround system, then this is the tv. I can't say enough about the picture quality. Fantastic!
