I did my research and waited for this 65 js8500 to come back on sale. Worth the wait. Awesome tv and bestbuy came through also with great delivery. Happy camper so far.

This tv is good quality. So far I have not had any problems or issues with it. Only question in my mind is whether the curved screen would have been better.

We got an amazing deal on this tv in the 65 inch! This tv had been one of the smartest buys that we did for an up grade. You will not be disappointed!

This TV is absolutley incredible, feels like your actually in the scene with the actors or at the game. The silver bezel really sets it off too.

I've read and researched like most to find the tv that best suited my needs. This tv has done just that. It's not perfect, but almost. The colors are great, images are clear, and apps work well. There are 2 same issues that keep me from giving it a 5 star. The tv is a bit warm at the top edges, and I see a small amount of motion blur while watching some tv shows. Sports look Great, which is what I was most interested in. The sales person at BB Mechanicsville, Va. was awesome to deal with. Thanks Shawn.

After much research I finally decided to move from the Sony brand to Samsung. I purchased the UN65JS8500FXZA model last week and installed it a couple of days ago. Pretty much everything I read about 4K TV’s and their pros and cons were accurate. Watching HD content on this 4K TV does not look at good as it did on my 8 year old Sony 1080P TV’s. I can accept this for now as hopefully everyone was correct in that there will be many more 4K broadcasts in the upcoming months and years. One of the definite cons is the audio output. I contacted Samsung before the purchase to verify that the audio outputs were variable so that I could control the volume of my Bose Solo 15 base speakers. Samsung support said the audio output was variable but it is not. Luckily I was able to program my DTV remote to control the Bose volume but have to switch the slider switch from DTV to AV then back. Over all I thing that I will be happy with the switch especially when there is more 4K source available.

The sound, whether connected to the sound bar or tv speakers, keeps cutting out 3 or 4 times an hour. This does it with all my devices, directtv ,ps3, xbox one, etc....samsung doesn't have a clue and i had to argue with them for a week before they finally going to send a technician out. BB isn't any better. Paid for installation, including hooking up of the sound with all my components , and when i asked them if they could of done some weird setting and if they could come out to see, they said they only warranty wall installation for 90 days not sound hookup. It has been two weeks. Man I wish I knew than what I know now. Will keep you updated once the tech comes out in case anyone else is having the same problem.

Smarthub is fast. Looks fantastic on my wall. Netflix and Hulu have been great performers. 4k video from YouTube also looks fantastic on the TV. Can't wait to break it in more with some more 4K content.

Amazing television, all around. However, I was unfortunate enough to have a uneven backlighting issue and being fairly technical I adjusted settings which I saw only minor improvement. I performed troubleshooting steps per Samsung support website (the usual, turn off power, update software, adjust backlight etc...) nothing thats going to fix a component issue with the television. Created a service request and was called the next morning, the robot-person on the phone asked me to repeat all of the above, it's like they didn't hear the entire story I just told them. Then then said they would be closing the service request and sending me an e-mail with troubleshooting steps (literally the same as I had already performed) and I will need to watch my TV on these settings (lvl 7 backlight) for 2-3 WEEKS and then it's MY responsibility to call them back and reference the closed service request ticket. This is my FIRST and only call ever into Samsung support and the only reason I gave this a 3-star because overall I think the tv is great. Service is absolutely terrible.

This TV is amazing! The picture is extremely crisp, and seems almost 'live' like you're there in scene. If I had to pick a negative, the 'white' is very very bright and takes a little getting used to. Outstanding TV all in all!

I did a lot of research on this site and others before purchasing this unit. I know this is the 2015 model but it has had a great track record and the price was right - under $2k. It's got everything I want or need and I've been very happy with the initial performance - I've been using it for the last 2 weeks. It looks incredible especially compared to the 42" I've been using for the past 5 years. i know there are some folks who have had some non favorable experiences but I played the odds (85% rated this model 4 or 5 stars) and went with it and I'm glad I did. Picture is great and the sound is very good. Haven't used all the features yet but I'm working through them and will post more when I can. If it lasts 10 years or more, this will be a great investment.

The picture quality on this tv is really good. My wife and I went into Best Buy to purchase a 55 inch Samsung until we noticed the picture on this set. Of course we were blown away and decided to purchase this 65 inch.

I was looking for a replacement TV and was targeting a lower end mode when the 8500 came up on sale. The upscale capability is what made the difference for me. The picture quality is great. The sound is not however. If you are running your sound through an amp you will better enjoy the experience. Overall a good purchase for under $2k.

I purchased a Sony 65" 4K tv but after reading numerous reviews that it had bleeding problems I decided against it. The Best Buy associate pointed me to the Samsung 65" JS8500 and have been beyond happy about it. The picture is extraordinary and I've had zero issues. I love the look of the tv and once it was hung on the wall it was like art.

This is a great 4k TV. It has many nice features and a clear picture. It up scales to near 4k for standard or HD content like cable or Blueray.

This TV is the BOMB! Buy it! Mirrors my phone screen and tablet screen. Detail and clarity are incredible! You won't regret purchasing this TV!

Very high end tv. Can't say nothing bad about it because there isn't any tv like this out there but the higher models. Perfect UHD AND 3D tv.
