Recently purchased this 65' for my basement and had the Best Buy crew do the install. Placement, picture & sound are great. I have another Samsung smart TV so the learning curve was minimal, but I could see this being slightly overwhelming for a new smart TV user.

Helpful staff and very knowledgeable. We love our new television and Bose sound system.

Didn't want the curved pannel thisbis the best flat screen available that's not a OLED.

After some initial tweaking, this television is good to execellent. The only possible weakness is black levels in a dark room. This can be overcome with some minor tweaking.

Great TV with intuitive operation. We have it linked to dish TV and it works flawlessly.

We've owned this TV for about a month now and we have no complaints. It has an incredible screen picture and we've truly enjoyed having a high quality tv for streaming, movies (including 3D) and just regular TV watching. We have been very happy with this product.

My husband and I are very brand loyal people so we knew when we decided to upgrade our TV we were definitely sticking with Samsung. After months and months of painstaking research we decided on the JS8500. The TV was just delivered and set up yesterday and so far we are in love. First off when my husband suggested we go 65" I was very hesitant. I just thought it would be this big bulky thing mounted on our lining room wall. That is most definitely not the case with the JS8500. The slim look all around is just amazing. I was in awe that such a powerful machine could be housed in that thin area. As for the picture quality of course you get nothing but the best with Samsung. Whether we're watching something on regular TV or popping in a movie the quality is awesome. If you're researching and shopping around like my husband and I do I suggest you look no further and stick with this baby!!

We've enjoyed Samsung in the past, so wasn't a big debate over other product choices.

Intermittent sound issues. Firmware update supposed to fix has not been downloaded yet. New version would not download from Internet, will have to do through flash drive.

When it comes to name brand I was a Sony guy for a long time, until I saw the clearest picture out of the Samsung. I was so amazed the detail of the picture, thanks to the salesperson for showing me the 65' Samsung 8500 series for under 2k you can't bet that.

I was initially a little apprehensive at first, but once I had it running..... WoW, worth the purchase and definitely happy with it's performance and the way it looks!!!

Compared a lot before purchasing this model. I think this is best TV for the money
