Very pleased with this TV. Has a great picture and I have not had any problems.

The first TV that was delivered had an input (HDMI 1) that could not detect the HDMI cable. The same HDMI cable and source worked on the other HDMI inputs. I refused delivery. The second TV was received a week later and all functions worked. It has been only two weeks but so far I am pleased with the performance.

When I started shopping for a 4K set, I looked at the customer reviews on Best Buy and also looked at the Consumer Reports ratings. I narrowed my search to this Samsung set and a comparable Sony. It was kind of a toss-up and I ended up initially selecting the Sony. Big mistake -- serious light edge bleed problems and mediocre upscaling among other things. The good news was how easy Best Buy is to work with. They took the Sony back without question and exchanged it for this Samsung model. The Samsung is absolutely superlative in every way, The picture is incredible - the detail is so clear, the colors so perfect, and the black and white levels so pronounced that the picture actually looks almost 3D. In other words, there is real depth to the picture. The SMART elements of the TV work well. What I am most pleased with is the upscaling from standard HD and even from non-HD sources like DVD's. The Sony did a good job of upscaling BluRay disks, but the standard DVDs looked grainy. The Samsung does a much better job with upscaling - though clearly the BluRay material does look better than DVD. My only complaint about the set is that connecting it to a sophisticated home sound system was not straight-forward at all. Samsung's written documentation is minimal. And even its electronic manual which runs 170 pages (!!) provides little instruction on what settings to change or adjust to get sound working through the ARC-HDMI output when using the SMART apps on the TV. I would be tempted to take off a star for the poor instructions. But not every buyer is going to hook up the set the way I did, so I am going to cut Samsung some slack on its documentation. If you are ready to make the leap to 4K, this Samsung is a worthy option. I would definitely recommend it.

(4/29/15) Alright, this is my first OUT-OF-THE-Box review. So I decided to buy this 65 Samsung UHD UN65JU6500/65D (my 4th Smart Samsung TV) as an upgrade to my Samsung HDTV 60 (2014 - 6 series). After hooking it up to my Directv genie I noticed that the screen colors were richer and better than all my other Samsung TVs. It must be the brightness and/or the color enhancement features. I felt in love with it right away! No need for playing around with the settings. Secondly was to test the Smart TV new Tizan features. My first encounter was “unable to connect to my wireless router” as I already knew about it from other reviews. The TV came with a 1.4 software and after connecting it directly to router with a RJ45 the TV upgraded to 1.9 and immediately to 1.10. Overall, a 10 minute wait with the downloads and installations. After the final upgrade the wireless connection was flawless. Then, I had to test the Mycloud system to see if it plays all the movies and picture formats. So far, it plays most of them. Some of the video formats NOT working are .MOV, some old MP4 formats (from Iphone 4). I’m still testing out other formats. MPEG, newer MP4, AVI, MKV worked flawlessly. One thing I noticed that while looking at the pictures that there’s a 1 second or 2 delay to change from one picture to the another (extremely slow compared from previous models). No, it’s not my connection, as I had the same configuration on my other tvs. Please SAMSUNG fix this. Then, I had to try 4K videos. I opened up the Youtube application and searched for 4K videos. After playing 4 seconds of the first 4K video I was drooling. Astonish picture quality, that Go Pro and the Costa Rica 4K videos are amazing. Playing Playstation 4 games are great and there’s no LAG on the screen what so ever, same goes to any football or soccer game. The 120 screen refresh is good than enough. So far I’m pretty happy with the TV, I will be testing out other apps to see more 4K capabilities and will provide an update. Things for Samsung to work on their newer upgrades are as follow: 1. ADD MORE VIDEO FORMATS FOR CONSUMER TO VIEW THEIR VIDEOS LIKE YOU DID WITH PREVIOUS VERSIONS .mov, old mp4 (iphone) 2. INCREASE THE SPEED WHEN BROWSING THROUGH PICTURES, THERE’S A LAG OF 1 OR 2 SECONDS, PREVIOUS TVs DIDN’T HAVE THIS PROBLEM 3. INCREASE THE FONT SIZE OF THE VIDEO TITLES WHEN BROWING THROUGHT THE FILES. THERE ARE WHITE (really) AND TOO SMALL. 4. SONY HAS A VERY NICE MODERN METAL LIKED FRAME THAT LOOKS BAD4$$ (4 SAME PRICE), ALMOST WENT FOR IT BUT THE SAMSUNG SMART TV SOFTWARE INTEGRATION BEAT TO IT. SAMSUNG HOPE YOU CAN MODERNIZE THE LOOK OF YOUR CHEAP BLACK PLASTIC FRAMES. No, I’m not buying your $6000 dollars 9000 series TV to look modern. Here’s my 1 cent
