This TV exceeds all of my expectations. The Best Buy sales rep was very knowledgeable and explained all of the technical jargon in a way that was easy to understand.

Was a little hesitant about the curve initially. Glad I made the choice! Great picture at almost any viewing angle.

Just upgraded from an ten year old HD rear projection TV. The picture on this thing is unreal. I absolutely love the curve. I now want a 4k curve in every room! Cons: The Netflix app on the tv is a bit flaky but I'm able to get around it. The motion processor trends to make some tv dramas feel like soap operas. (Search "soap opera effect") It was easy to turn off so no harm done.

I 've been shopping for a good TV having 4K picture quality and after several months research and monitoring prices, I finally chose the the Samsung JS9500. I've looked at everything from DVD's up to 4K material, and I have to say, the Samsung is an excellent performer in terms of quality and looks. With any of the input source the better the quality, the more impressive the image.

This is the second Samsung TV I have in my house, Other one it Samsung plasma 8500 series, This TV is very close to plasma in black color. It is hands down one of the best television out in the market. For the price you can not beat it. I was torn between OLED or this but for the price and features this is better deal for me. BUY one if you find it and you can afford.

The TV is very "smart" and is loaded with many services and avenues to explore. It allows me to easily read my E-edition of the newspaper on it.

Best TV I have ever owned! The only downside which is funny, is that black is so black, you sometimes have to raise the contrast in some games.

Great looking television, the curve in the tv really helps viewing from all angles. The silver border on the tv adds much more design that the typical black. Works as advertised. Only negative is right now nothing is in 4K other than select movies so I don't have the full 4K experience yet. Which is why it can only get better!

This the best Tv ever! Unfortunately this is the last 3D, 4K tv samsung made so when the price came down I had no choice but to cop it. My TV game was good but now it's 5 times that. I won't even get started with the PS4 resolution and the 3D is out cold. Wait when the 4K PS4 is out. Definitely a great purchase

Picture Quality Although I think curved TV's don't natively bring a lot to the table, the picture is truly amazing. Instead of edge lit LED (which really stands out in dark scenes), the TV is broken into LED zones (FALD) that have their own dedicated light source. This means that in a dark scene, only the zones that have detail information light up, which makes for an immersive picture and good black levels. Only OLED is better as it lights down to the pixel, but that tech is expensive and not without burn-in flaws. 4K content through Netflix can look jaw dropping, depending on the source. Daredevil looked good but overly grainy, but Marco Polo looked awesome; every time I would pause it, I thought I was staring at a high res desktop wallpaper. Oh and upscaled content looked great, but honestly for a flagship in 2015, this is a gimme. 3D I bought this TV after returning my Sony XBR70X850B. The Sony is at an incredible price right now, but for me 3D is important and the Sony has patently awful 3D, which brings me to the first point here: the JS9500's 3D is really good, especially for active 3D; in both native BD 3D content and compressed SBS/OU 3D content. I don't notice any crosstalk at all. Color The color for existing content looked awesome; as vibrant as the Sony, which is what it's known for. But the next generation of picture quality is more tied to color improvements than resolution. You'll hear terms like Rec 2020, HDR, WCG, and everything else that will make you dizzy. Just know the display is also "10 bit" display which is required for the Rec 2020 spec, and Samsung uses the term "nano technology" to basically state it will get closer to the forthcoming HDR color boon that will leave us all with our jaws on the floor. As I have no access to HDR content right now, this is a bit of "wait and see" which I address under "Cons" Future Proofing In addition to the color stuff, this TV supports the new Bluray 4K spec which needs 18Gbps HDMI 2.0 and HCP 2.2 copy protection. The One Connect box has 4 HDMI 2.0 ports, which will be important this Christmas when little Johnny gets you a new 4K BD disc. A lot of current 4k TV owners aren't going to be happy when their new 4K BD players don't work right because they are HDMI 1.4. One Connection What is it? Remember all those USB and HDMI ports on the side of the TV that you can't get to when it's mounted? Well, Samsung moved those into a dedicated box that can be hidden away with your other entertainment hardware. I've heard that people don't like it or that previous versions have been buggy, but it seems solid with this TV. Besides, by moving that functionality to a disconnect-able box, Samsung can upgrade that box in time without you needing a new TV. Remote I love the smaller remote! In the days of mega remotes that control everything, I find it refreshing and I use it a lot. It's kind of like the early iPhone - there is less buttons and seemingly less "power", but it just works. Especially with devices that can talk to each other. Once I got the ARC channel working with my receiver, when I pressed the volume button, it was automatically controlling the volume on it without me setting up anything. Same thing with my bluray player - it just worked. Cons It's a flagship TV, and IMO the best on the market. But understand that 2015 and TVs like this are the first foray into the next generation of 4K60p content and Rec2020/HDR color. Just like any tech (original Plasma, original LCD, original LED, original 4K), it will start expensive and the market will mature. A TV with similar features will be cheaper next year and a LOT cheaper in a few years. So know what and why you're buying. Oh, and the out of the box firmware is terribly broken. But don't be frustrated, just be prepared to find the latest firmware and put it on a USB stick to update the TV. It'll run smoothly after that.
