For 1599, it is the best TV for the price. Great picture. Love the curve. It didn't wow me but still love it.

I bought this Samsung ks8500 4k tv Last Monday 11/21 Upgraded from a 65 Visio 1080 hd tv It's like night and day . Well worth the upgrade. Crystal clear movies and games I do a lot of online gaming Xbox one and custom computer that easily runs games at 4k I don't notice any lag at all They say its got minimal lag but this is definitely one of the best 4k tv's for gaming Even better than lg oled. Lag wise I definitely highly recommend this tv .

I did plenty of research before purchasing this tv and I can honestly say I'm so glad I chose the ks8500. The fact that it's a "curved" tv doesn't really impact the viewing angle. I really don't even notice it unless I'm looking for. When the ks8500 price dropped below the price of the ks8000 that's when I decided I'd give it a shot. So if the curve is merely aesthetic then I guess it looks just as amazing off as when it's on. This is the next best thing to oled. See if for yourself don't take my word but seriously the ks8500 will look amazing without the crazy high price of the lg oled. Lastly if you are a gamer this is an amazing tv for gaming. The colors are so vibrant and you can calibrate them to your liking. You will be impressed. I know I am.

Here is yet another review. Hopefully I answer some questions that some of the other ones didn't and brings up new/different things about it. I bought this TV over the weekend, and even though I couldn't justify getting a new one, nor at this price, I am so glad I bought it. The picture on this is incredible. Even though there isn't much 4k content out there just yet, "regular" HD does seem to look better. I have been watching 4k shows on Netflix, and it is unbelievable. The colors are so bright and vivid no matter HD or 4k. I am able to control my cable box and everything thru the little remote that comes with it, and you can even do voice commands with the remote. The thing I really like is the interface on the TV that controls everything, like accessing the apps, or even changing the channel. Looks much more modern than the interface for my cable box. It is even cool when it turns off. The screen kinda wipes horizontally to the middle when it shuts down. Kind of like 2 sliding doors closing. I didn't really have to do much for set up, it seemed to have done that automatically, so I didn't even adjust the color, or calibrate it or anything. I highly recommend this TV!

Quality picture We like the junction box that makes it so that you only have one wire going to the back of the tv. Wish that wire was longer and cannot find another. Hopefully someone will produce options later. True motion rate is only 120 but do not see any lag. There is a motion accelerator that mimics 240. This option can be and should be turned off otherwise the images move so fast it looks unnatural and quality modern films look like they were recorded on a high resolution camcorder With that accelerator off the tv runs at 120. Looks great no complaints

I've had this TV for a week so I don't know all the nuances yet but I will say that this is an awesome television. Clarity is absolutely amazing on all the high def channels. I couldn't carry on much of a conversation regarding DPI, quad core versus dual core, refresh rates etc. but I know what's pleasing to my eyes and this TV is the BOMB!!! FYI, I also bought the curved Samsung soundbar as well and it's not as good as my Bose but it's fine and works well for my purposes and is a great improvement over the internal speakers.

I was blown away when I turned this on the first time. The picture was so good I couldn't believe it. In the show room they have it set up to show it at its best, but at home its never the same. Well it was this time. I was so amazed at the quality I watched the weather channel for 30 min just for the pics they were showing. I flipped channels and passed a movie I've seen a dozen times but now it looked completely different. I saw details I had never seen before. In once sense, it's almost too good. I took me a couple of weeks to get used to it. Indoor sets on movies tend to look fake because you see too much. It reminded me of daytime soaps, where the sets look a little cheap and the people overact. You see everything! The little looks on someone's face that wasn't seen previously. I cannot get over how REAL everything looks. I ended up paying more than I intended, but once I saw the one I thought I was going to buy next to this one, there was no choice. I've very pleased with my decision.

The Samsung KS8500 4k UHD LED is a very good versatile TV. It offers great picture quality for movies and HDR content, has great motion handling and is very responsive for video games. It is a good fit even in the brightest living room as it can get very bright and deals well with reflections.

I looked at every TV, size, brand, features you name it. This tv, its features, etc are second to none. Many tv's are in demo mode in the store then you buy them and they do not have the same picture. This one does and then provides everything else. You will not be disappointed.

This set is by no means a pushover from the OLED TV's. It is a very capable set that has the best picture quality that I have ever seen and has all the options that a guy like me needs. Although I am just a regular guy (not a pro videophile), I can however discriminate bad to good to great picture quality. This set to me has a superior picture quality, bar none (maybe one :) ). I am giving this a one star review because of its one major flaw. I was going to give it 5 stars but then people will not read this.. I want to share this flaw to people so I believe one star will make more attention since there are hundreds of 5 stars already. First I looked at the other reviews for this flaw but none of them reported it. I am doing this review so that I could help people like me who enjoys great picture quality and sound (by the way, the sound on this set is very acceptable; not the best but no slouch either) I have exchanged the set two times and this is my third TV of the same model. I wanted to keep this because the OLED is way too much for me. I made the decision to exchange it for the second and final time to see if the issue is gone or at least very minimal. Three times is a charm for me. I don't see the flaw anymore except for some scenes but very minimal. The major flaw of this TV and all other edge-lit LED sets on the market is the Clouding/Flashlighting effect. I did not notice this issue for the first few days but when I was watching Daredevil on Netflix (Saturday early morning with a pitch black room and dark scenes), it caught my attention at the clouding or white round/cloud spots on the bottom left and bottom right corners of the set. It was pretty bad and obvious. I could not believe that a $1700 set has this annoying flaw. How did the QC pass this set with this issue? There should be no way that these sets be sold anywhere with clouding and/or flashlighting effect on dark scenes. Even if this set is $500, I would still make the return/exchange because it is simply bad and annoying. I think that all people who gave this 5 or 4 stars do not see or do not care about this flaw and I can't blame them. This TV to me is a superior set. For people who are still searching for a great TV set, good luck and study each TV about their features and flaws. For people who already owns this fantastic set and don't care about the flaw, congrats and continue to enjoy and relax watching great films, shows, sports, or something else. Just my $0.02. Second 4k samsung. Picked up smaller non curved last summer. Terrific picture. Love the ability to mirror with my Samsung phone for slide shows etc. This one has my ps4 on it. First game was outrageous picture quality. Very happy with purchase so far

Great TV! Picture is great!!!!! Caught tv on sale. Back up $500 this week. The TV even looks good when turned off. The connections are on an interface box with a approximately 6 foot cable. Can hide cables easier.

I have to admit that I was a skeptic when it came to the curve screen, but this television has proven be wrong. I absolutely love it. The menus are easy to navigate and the television is feature rich.

This TV replaced an older 2011 48" Samsung TV, and the quality of picture was amazing. It took awhile to get used to it, because of the realism of the picture. HD Channels are exceptionally good.

This a wonderful television once you get the setting correct, out of the box it doesn't impress, once you get it dialed in it is amazing. It really helps to turn most of the auto features.

This product is awesome. Great clarity, super rich definition and there are so many external options all managed through the TV itself.

The good, The picture and size of the screen are a great upgrade to my 55" samsung 3D tv. This was a considerable upgrade on the size, which is a plus when watching 3D movies. The 4k screen does a nice job The bad: The motion rate causes ghosting or lag at times. color is off, people look orange so i had to change settings The ugly: the Red now that it is configured sucks bad as it cannot process the screen. It looks like the old black and white movies and your watching it with the Blue and red glasses. The red is off centered from the object and flickers badly. The second ugly is the customer support, as there seems to be none for this TV and needs a serious software upgrade for image processing and smoothness. And the fact that we are losing Skype service for the TV. I would not recommend this for anyone at this time and this is a first for a bad product that I have experienced with Samsung TV.

It is everything I wanted and more. The 4K picture quality is superb, the curved design is sleek, and the user interface is easy to use. This tv will not disappoint you.

I have never written a review until now but I am so impressed with this TV I decided to jump in. I bought and returned 2 other 65" TV's before purchasing this one and I couldn't be happier with my new Samsung!!!
