When trying to connect Apple products via Airplay, please ensure your TV and Apple product are up to date with the latest Firmware. For your TV, go to Settings> Support> Software Update.
Next, please ensure both devices are connected to the same internet network.
If Apple Airplay is grayed out, it could be because:
You are experiencing network issues.
You need a Smart Hub reset.
To enable Apple Airplay:
1. Go to Settings > Connection > Network Settings.
2. Make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on, and then connect to your home network.
3. Ensure that your iPhone is operating on the same network that the TV is on.
If that does not fix the issue, you may need to reset your TV's Smart Hub:
1. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis.
2. Select Reset Smart Hub.
3. Enter the PIN for your TV (the default pin is 0000).
Then, try reconnecting your Apple device by going to Source > Connection Guide > Smartphone > Apple AirPlay.
