The sound kicks out periodically when changing between hdmi inputs. You literally have to unplug the hdmi and reconnect it for the sound to return. Plus the smart channel / app home screen is clunky, laggy at times and surprisingly unintuitive. I literally turned it off because the homescreen agressively continues to load samsung tv every time its powered on. Samsung has been my tv option and phone forever. I'm tech savy with a great internet connection. The picture is what you'd expect but the rest is subpar. Samsung knows the sound drops out and they have a patch that you can download to a thumb drive and install on the tv. The fact i have to do that makes ne angry but the sound dropping out every few days is worse.

Thank you for letting us know about the sound issues you are experiencing on your CU7000 TV. Your opinion is important to us, and we will share it with our internal teams. Although you have tried a few setting changes, I have a few recommendations for you to try that I will put below, just in case.
To ensure performance is fully optimized, please make sure your TV is running the latest firmware. To do so, go to Settings> Support> Software Update. You can easily update from there if necessary.
To address the audio delay, you may want to try the Audio Pass-Through feature. This feature allows the audio signal to be sent out unprocessed to an external Soundbar or receiver connected to the TV. The external Soundbar or receiver then processes the audio, thereby eliminating the added step of processing by the TV, which adds delay.
To activate this feature, go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > set to Pass-Through.

I feel like I’m at the game in the front seat, lower deck, I may never have to go to the movies again.

It was on sale and got it for below $500. Really good picture quality! Default out of the box picture setting was on power saving mode and little bit darker. We changed it to vivid.
