Dark scenes borderline unwatchable

Remote and color

The picture is grainy and my 6 year old samsung has better picture than this. I have adjusted the settings and even changed out the HDMI cord. I bought two of them - one as a christmas gift and I will be returning it. I'm quite bummed because normally I'm a huge advocate for samsung but I'm having a hard time finding anything good to say about this TV

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q60A TV and for sharing details of your image quality. To optimize your picture quality, please be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1901.0 which includes picture quality updates. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
If this firmware version is not yet available on your TV, you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV:
1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manuals & Software > Find your TV model.
2. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.)
3. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV.
4. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.

tv breaks easily.

The whole screen went out and when I went to best buy they refunded my 5yr insurance and told me to contact samsung. Samsung was no help. lasted 30 days, moved once.

This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

Disappointing TV

Dark movie scenes have white blotchy areas. If the movie format has black bars on the bottom and top you can see white light clouds around the outside. Same movies on my other TV's don't do this. I purchased 2 of these TV's and they both did it.

Have called Samsung and they said that they would send someone out to see what it is. 1 year warranty and asked for replacement and they said let’s see what repair men say.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q60A TV and for sharing your experience with sound delays. Please be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1901.0 which includes updates to address lip sync or audio delays that you are experiencing. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
If this firmware version is not yet available on your TV, you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV:
1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manuals & Software > Find your TV model.
2. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.)
3. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV.
4. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.
If you are still hearing a sound delay after updating your firmware and you have a Home Theatre System or other speakers connected to your TV, you can access the Audio Delay settings to increase the audio delay. Go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Delay
Please also know that our 2021 TVs do have an audio Pass-Through feature. This feature allows the audio signal to be sent out unprocessed to an external Soundbar or receiver connected to the TV. The external Soundbar or receiver then processes the audio, thereby eliminating the added step of processing by the TV, which adds delay.
On your TV go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through

Don’t waist your money

The image was dim and not as clear as the one in show room. We even purchased a new hdmi cable and still was bad. Even both of our our old Samsungs have way much better picture quality. We were so disappointed that we returned it.

Absurdly Fragile

Don't bump into this thing or move it too fast, the screen will suffer severe damage. Mine literally dropped two inches into the braces and the screen is ruined after two months of use.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your new Q60A TV. If the picture you are seeing out-of-the-box is not to your liking, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
You can select the Picture Mode that provides the best viewing experience. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also go to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine tune your image.
To ensure that your TV’s picture is optimized, be sure that you are always running the latest firmware update. You can check this by going to Settings > Support > Software Update or you can enable Auto Update for convenience.

It also will black out the screen during some ads. Wished I never bought this TV!

Thank you for purchasing the Q60A TV and for your review. Please know that you can choose what your TV does when you turn it on by going to Settings > General > Smart Features
1) When you set Autorun Smart Hub to on, the TV displays the Home Screen automatically when you turn the TV on.
2) If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app is automatically run when you turn on the TV. Please know that the Last App Used function may not work with all apps.
Please also be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1805.4 which includes stability and performance updates. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

Best investment

My children play video games on this and they love how clear the images are. Best investment I've ever had. Looking forward to buy another one for my bedroom.
