I am very frustrated with this dryer. In the past 4.5 years, it's required three different repairs...costing more than the dryer itself. I'm hoping it holds out a little longer, but I'm really upset about this purchase. Feels like I wasted my money on something that should have way better longevity without these issues and certainly not three repair visits in under 5 years. For what we paid, I'm surprised that Best Buy or Samsung hasn't recognized the multiple visits and offered to replace the unit vs. just repairing it over and over again. This is my first Samsung appliance purchase and I doubt I will be repeating it.

Sheets roll into a ball. Sensor doesn't really work. I always have to dry clothes longer. I had to buy a special clothes basket that would fit under the door - regular ones don't work. Whatever you do, don't buy Samsung washer either. I could go on-and-on about that.

Purchased dryer in January of 2017. The dryer worked well for 2 years and then all the problems started.
In February of 2019 the dryer stopped drying. Had to have the heating element replaced.
In June of 2019 the dryer started making a loud noise when drying. Ended up having to have the Belt pulley and bracket replaced on the machine.
In September of 2020 the dryer started having issues where it would over dry or not dry at all. The thermistor needed to be replaced. Also the display board was not lighting up fully. Made the decision to not repair and replace the machine.

We had this item delivered to us. When we got it up and working, we realized that it was not heating correctly. We tried it on every single setting and check the vent and electrical. Turns out it was something wrong with the dryer. Best Buy was willing to give us a new dryer. The new one had the same exact problem. It basically never leaves the cool down phase so it does not heat up or there is something wrong with the heating element. After doing a lot of research my husband and I found out that this is a known problem with this dryer. I would not recommend it at all! We are now in the process of getting a third dryer and we will never look at Samsung for any washer or dryer needs that we may have in the future.

I bought this washer/dryer combination and at the time I “thought” I just wanted a basic “no bells and whistles” type set. Well, I have never been more dissatisfied but I’m stuck with them. I complained about the first set and Best Buy gladly replaced them with a slightly upgraded set so I didn’t have the heart to complain again. The dryer isn’t quite as bad as the washer. The washer is more of a “swisher!” It just sort of barely shakes the laundry back and forth and sometimes hardly covers the clothes with water. I can’t wait to donate these to charity and buy a real set in the future! Sorry for the bad review.

Returned the first dryer for same problem of not getting things dry.
I put a regular load in on normal dry, towels came out damp.
Put quilt in and it took over 3 hours to dry even on hottest temp.
Returning it and going with a different brand.

Dryer is fine Asked for a dryer that had a side vent. Didn't realize that I had to have someone come and take the dryer apart to install the venting system.
Would have been informative that the salesman would have told me before selling this dryer. Guess all about the sale.

The Samsung dryer has a loose rubber in the dryer as water that evaporates from high heat comes out as the dryer cycle is on. Samsung needs to check the rubber at the door dryer and fixed it. I still see a little water coming out from the door dryer.

This dries just fine but I didn't know you DON'T have the option to turn off the end cycle chime. It's loud, long and so annoying! Makes me completely dislike my dryer.
