Sensor Dry automatically senses the moisture in the load and shuts the dryer off when the selected dryness level has reached. The drying time can change according to the type and amount of laundry.

Setting the bar for how a dryer should be

I tend to wear either dress shirts for work, or old band t-shirts when lounging. Both of these require a delicate dry to ensure that they are not shrinking or being damaged throughout the drying cycle. The dryer not only provides multiple presets to help me dial in the setting, but I have confidence that I am not over-drying my clothes with the Samsung sensor dry feature. The dryer is very large and fully dried my comforter without the need for multiple cycles, and even when tackling a heavy/large load, this thing is also impressively quiet! My wife really enjoys the fact that there is a lint filter indicator, as she is very forgetful and it always ends up being my job to clean out the filter. While small, it’s a nice feature set to have to friendly remind her. Additionally for our specific set up we had to reverse the door on our dryer, and while this is another niche thing, I am so thankful that we were able to tailor the dryer to our specific home setup with fare ease and not have to rely on a professional installer. Samsung has really elevated the laundry experience by providing the most user friendly and eco friendly setup. Both my wife and I can dial in our specific settings needed for the clothes, but can also just ‘set it and forget it’ knowing that Samsung has provided tech to ensure the protection and longevity of the clothes. Our clothes come out cleaner and fresher than before, and despite numerous washes on newer clothes, they still look just as bright as the day we bought them.

Fantastic dryer for the money

It has eight different drying options to cover every drying need for my family. Sensor dry is my favorite feature as it detects moisture, and stops operations at perfect temperature. I know some people prefers clothes completely dry at hot temperature; this is not for them. This feature itself deserves for 5 stars for me as all my previous drying experience was never really perfect every time. Another point I have to make is its noise level; it is greatly improved from my older dryer, and now I could only hear some operational sound; I would not call it noise anymore. Load capacity wise, it is large enough for my family; And to my knowledge, it is similar to most of other brand new dryers. In other words, it's not a decision making factor at all. Fantastic appliance. Highly recommended.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First and foremost, our dryer is located in a very interesting spot so being able to choose which way we wanted the door opening was amazing. We are a big family so the 8 preset drying cycles works very well for our family. The sensor dry technology optimizes our drying time and saves us money on our energy bill. The sensor dry has saved some of our smaller blankets. Our old dryer would occasionally “burn” and damage some of our blankets due to too much heat, but with the sensor dry it does not happen anymore. Because of this, we pretty much use the normal dry setting of the sensor dry. It has been a money saver for our blankets. My wife also loves that there is a lint filter indicator that reminds us when to change the lint filter. This dryer is huge…7.2 cubic feet capacity allows us to dry even more towels at once and we need less loads to do them all. I would highly recommend this dryer to everybody.

I can’t fugure out how to turn the sound off. The lint catcher is so narrow it’s hard to get your hand in it to clean. I didn’t think not having a light would be a issue….but it is. It’s like a dark tunnel in there. But, it does a good job of drying clothes…so far. Only had it a month.

My first impressions are that is does a great job at drying! But my favorite option has to be the lint draw, as you can see in the picture this one dives deeper than the traditional lint draw! It also has a feature letting you know when it's time to clean out the filter also! This is especially handy to keep your drier in tip top shape! Besides those amazing options it has many features commonly found on a drier including wrinkle releaser and a damp dry feature! The door on the front is large and allows you to stuff many clothes into the large drum! It's also nice that you have the option to change the way the door opens with relative ease (left or right)
