Worked well for 6 months and now it won't heat up. Googled online and found out it's a common problem usually right out of warranty due to faulty thermostat. Luckily mine is under warranty hopefully Samsung can take care of it. I'm not optimistic moving forward though since it broke down so quickly. My other dryer is a LG and it's still going strong after 10 years!

After installed it was already faulty, We returned it back. We bought at a discount. Best to buy brand new.

There is some times (once every 5 loads) when my laundry is still wet after 40 min on high heat. It's a okay dryer not good.

Even though there is a sensor for the timer, it takes longer than a non sensored unit.

my dryer was leaking from the first wash ruined my new hardwood floor. Best Buy did not help in repairing the product, had to contact samsung. They did send a technician, which he repaired the dryer. according to technician there was a lose tube inside the machine causing the machine to leak. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The third party installers didn’t do a good job. Exhaust pipe falling off the wall. Very rude and charged me 500 dollars for nothing.

It's an ok dryer it's moisture sensor so I have to keep putting time to dry because it's never completely dry with the cycle and their small loads very frustrating

The dryer was never installed by Best Buy so I need a refund for this service. Having problems with the dryer already not drying clothes shuts off after s few minutes

Worst purchase from Best Buy. The dryer will not dry all the clothes in a load. You will have to dry some of the clothes from previous load with the next.

Two days after dryer installation we smelled gas. The gas company came out and had to tighten the connection. This could have been a disaster!!

Never buy a Samsung product once the extended warranty is over no repairman will come to fix them

This dryer is well made, but the moisture sensor in it seems to be inaccurate. Particularly with towels, denim jeans, and heavier bedding, the moisture sensor will detect my items as dry when they are still fairly damp. Putting it on the "More Dry" or "Very Dry" setting for heavier items at least helps, and sometimes resolves this issue. I was hoping this gas dryer would be more efficient, but having to re-run drying cycles or do timed cycles makes it less efficient compared to similar models. My vent is a short and very straight run. I'll probably attempt to replace it with a fully rigid vent soon - I'm hoping that will help. Additionally, this dryer plays a minute and a half long song at the end of its dry cycle, and it's impossible to turn it off as far as I've been able to find. It's funny at first, but it's starting to get old. My washer, which is also a Samsung has an option to turn this off.

seriously love! great for beginners, chime it makes when you load is done drying is not loud at all ! i have it installed in the garage & it does the job. love the automatic dry setting it actually dries the clothes! not like others that state it'll be done when the sensors tell it its done drying . totally recommend

This gas dryer has plenty of room for bedding and dries clothes efficiently. Multiple settings to meet your laundry needs and a great value for the price.

It stopped drying clothes after the best buy 14 day return policy. We were given false information by sales associate, there is no light inside the dryer. Installation was not done properly, my husband had to reattach the vent tube to the dryer, the gas line was also not in a safe position. Using the dry sensor for towels on the very dry and high heat setting, three hours later the towels were still damp. When using the timed dry for an hour, dryer stops by itself after 5 minutes! I now am waiting a week for the samsung service to come out. I am in need of a dishwasher but I will not be purchasing from Best Buy.

On our fourth Samsung appliance and our reviews are identical: loved the appliance until it stopped working within 2 years. We purchased our washer/dryer 2 years ago, mid 2017. In March 2019, we had to replace the thermostat something or other $350. In May 2019, the washer could no longer produce warm or hot - just cold (we waited). September 2019, the dryer again stopped producing heat. Estimate to repair the dryer is $525 (thermostat again plus more issues); to repair the washer was $350. It makes more sense to purchase a new set at this point. Our repairmen (2 different companies on 2 calls) said that they see this often; a great, but designed to be short lived, product. They both advised that, from a repairmans' perspective, Samsung appliances are not designed to be repaired affordably. Our Samsung refrigerator is Another example of this. It is amazing, beautiful, so many features...that worked for 3 years. We paid $3k for our Samsung frig. When you pay that much for an appliance, purchasing a 3 year warranty (for nearly $500) seems silly. A couple of years later, the door functions stopped working. To repair it was $780 (motherboard issues), We have lived without an ice maker for 3 years because we had better things to do with that much money. I can't believe I own 3k frig and have to use plastic ice trays because the repair cost is too high. The Samsung appliances are slick as heck, but deliver for a really truncated period of time. I wish someone had given us a heads up before we purchased disposable appliances. Despite this review, we remain fans of Samsung. They make great TVs (highly recommend) but we cannot afford to replace our appliances every 2 years. We want the workhorses that our Moms had - ones that lasted a decade or more, and she could afford to repair if needed.
