The issues are piling up. Motor failure. Switch failure. Belt slipping. I will stay away from all Samsung appliances.

Worked OK for a couple months now it's not drying the clothes all the way I have to call and have them come look at it.

No issues until yesterday. Only had this a little over 2 years now and it quit working.

Dryer is loud when it first starts but then it quiets down a little. Doesn't seem to get too hot

The appliance makes a lot of noise during the end of the cycle..

I would not buy this dryer again. Takes longer to dry loads

Great product, this is a great washer and it does a excellent job

First one delivered didn't dry, 2 weeks later 2 nd arrived damaged.

Seemed to be an ok dryer...only returned the dryer because the Samsung washer failed within a month after purchase and we decided not to wait for the dryer to follow suit. Decided to buy a matching washer/dryer set made by a better brand.

Disappointed with the noise level given by this product. Washers and dryer. Dryer failed to dry clothes completely.

I purchased this dryer in November 2016. 2.5 years and it's not working. The lights come on but it won't start. I have had nothing but problems with all my Samsung products. They should stick with TVs. SOOOOO disappointed.

First the topload washer was recalled, then the matching dryer is squeaking after 3 years. Poor quality with Samsung it seems. Also had issues with a refrigerator I recently purchased.

This dryer and matching washer have been a nightmare. Made poorly, and have had multiple repairs over just 3 years. We’ve paid for them at least twice during this time.

After 3 years it started making a horrible noise just in time for the warranty to expire. So frustrating

Total disaster. And service is even worse. Can't being to describe misery. Perhaps someone from BestBuy will call me back. But I doubt it.

Had to replace within 6months. They wouldn’t even send out a repairman.

This is going to be a book, but please read. I have a Samsung washer (WA48H7400AW) that I purchased several months ago and I am very pleased with it so I figured that I would purchase this dryer(DV52J8700EW) to go along with it since my other dryer, which worked perfectly, was just too small to handle the loads of laundry the washer could do. I ordered it from BestBuy, had it delivered and hooked up. Threw a load of laundry in it that just finished washing and noticed a very audible thumping noise (Sounded like a heartbeat). I thought maybe this was just the clothes. I did a couple more loads of laundry later throughout the coming weeks and noticed the same noise. I then took all the items out of the dryer so the drum was empty and it still made the noise. I verified that the dryer was level and nothing was against the dryer. Upon examining the dryer I noticed that that drum would make the noise when the weld seam was at the 6 o'clock and 8 o'clock positions. With the dryer off I was able to replicate the noise by grabbing the drum and spinning it manually. Once again, when the drums’ weld seam was at the 6 o'clock and 8 o'clock spots it would make the thunk noise and you could actually feel it (I assume it was going over the rollers at these spots). I noticed some ripples at each end of the stainless steel drum where the weld seams were at. I called Samsung and being there was no repair station nearby they said this case would need to be reviewed for an exchange. The following day I got a call with an exchange number, I took that to BestBuy and got a new appointment setup for the removal of the faulty dryer and install of the new dryer. After the install they tested the dryer for the noise and it did not appear to make any. I tried to program my preferred drying cycle and the capacitive button would not work. The Increase time and decrease time did not work also. I needed to get some clothes dry so I threw in 3 pairs of pants and a few T-shirts (Small load compared to what the dryer can hold). Turned the dryer loose and after about 15 minutes I could hear the thumping again. I took everything out (which was obviously still damp) and turned it back on with nothing in the dryer. Once again it made that thumping noise. Same thing as last time I could replicate the problem by turning the drum by hand and noticed there were ripples at each end of the dryer drum. I called Samsung and they said the same thing after arguing with me that the dryer isn’t level. “No techs in the area and we will give you a call in 24 – 48 hours to see if it qualifies for an exchange.” I received my call and got another exchange number that I took to BestBuy. After a couple more weeks I got my third replacement dryer. This time all the controls worked but it still made that thumping noise. Extremely disappointed by this point I called Samsung again and asked if there is any kind of recalls on this dryer as this is my third one in a month and a half. The Samsung customer support person was very rude and snotty with me in regards to my question. She said that they have never had any problems with their drums on any models and they go through over 50 tests prior to being taken off the line. I asked her if that is truly the case then how is it that they are completely unaware of the thumping noise and letting it pass and after doing further online research other are complaining of the same issue? She then insisted that I must have something in my dryer yet that I am not seeing. *facepalm* I informed her that absolutely nothing was in my dryer. Then she told me my dryer is not level. I informed her it was installed by techs from BestBuy who leveled it for me. I went downstairs and got a level just to verify it was perfectly level (which it was) and I also verified it was not against the table or wall and that nothing was leaning against it. After telling her it was perfectly level she told me the usual line “No techs in the area and we will give you a call in 24 – 48 hours to see if it qualifies for an exchange.” I asked to speak to her manager. After I finally got transferred to him I explained the whole story to him and asked him the same question if there were any recalls for these products and he said no, but did say he would submit this ticket to the escalation team for review. I asked him how I can follow up with this and he said that I would be unable to and since I just got the dryer yesterday I should just exchange it since it is in the return policy of the store. So being completely disappointed with Samsung's Customer Service and the quality of the dryer (I really like the washer though! Which is a WA48H7400AW) I went back to the store again to exchange it for an LG Dryer which I am waiting to be delivered. Perhaps I just had a horribly bad string of luck with this specific dryer model but I would honestly suggest to stay away from this dryer because while I loved the look and the drying time/capabilities, I would not trust the thumping noise because after a while that could eventually weaken the weld and cause it to potentially split. Also, it is extremely annoying.

I've had this dryer since January 2017. I've had no problems with this except having to replace the drum bearings. Other than that, it has been a great dryer.

This dryer has wonder features. It works great!. You can get a lot of clothes in this dryer. .

I have had the dryer for a week and washed and dried everything I can find. It has handled everything very well including a fluffy king sized comforter. I have also used the steam cycle and it works very well.
