Worked great for a few months but then it wouldn't turn on and then when I got it on it took forever to start. Just had to keep pressing the start button till it eventually started. About to call the company and see what can be done but so far not a good start.

I really like this dryer. IT's very fast and quiet.

I hate writing reviews, but I feel like I have been duped into buying this garbage and want to protect other consumers. In August 2016, my now husband and I bought this dryer, along with its matching washer. I specifically chose a Samsung product because my family has always had great luck with Samsung. Fast forward to October 2017 (literally 1 month after the warrantly expires) and this dryer starts making an awful and consistent squeak. After hours of research, I find this is common in ALL Samsung dryers and, if not repaired, could lead to the dryer seizing. I call Samsung in a panic due to the 260ish looming repair bill, and they agree to cover the parts. I didn’t realize the parts only costed like 15 bucks!!! What a raw deal! The man who repaired it was very kind, though, and we moved on (believing the dryer would no longer be a problem). Not so... not 6 months later, and the constant squeak from their shoddy bearings is back! I call Samsung again, livid, and they finally agreed to cover the entire cost of the new repair after hours spent arguing on the phone. However, I was told this would be the last time they would offer any support. I thought it would finally be fixed and at least last another year or so. Guess what, the squeak is back again, along with a really great scraping/grinding sound. Guess we are footing the bill on this? I wanted to love this dryer, but having to repair it every 6 months when we’ve only had it 28 months is RIDICULOUS! Purchasing the Best Buy extended warranty would have likely saved us hundreds! Additionally, just found (through my own research) that the washer we purchased has been recalled (happened literally 2 months after we bought it) due to the top blowing off and injuring people. Samsung NEVER contacted us and therefore risked our safety. UNBELIEVABLE. Now we must determine how we will move forward from here with a very unsafe washer and a dysfunctional dryer. I once loved this company and their products, but now I am just so disappointed! Please beware!

Lots of cycle choices and large capacity. Love mine.

It does a good job and is large. Little trouble with heavy loads.

We had this dryer for just over 1.5 years and the motor went bad, possibly caused by a bad idler pulley. Being outside of the 1 year warranty, Samsung offered no options outside of costly repairs, likely costing more than the dryer itself. A dryer's lifespan should not be so short. The high stars on here are misleading. I would have rated high after just receiving, but not after I know about the limited life. Find reviews from folks that had their dryer over 1 year and you will see all of the issues. Samsung has poor quality and poor customer service. I will never buy Samsung appliances ever again.

Wonderful dryer, I love the completed cycle notification feature. The dry sensor is outstanding and very useful feature. Clothes are now always fully dry when cycle finishes. Best part is that it has a wrinkle prevent feature.

I absolutely love this dryer! The noise control is amazing. It's a great dryer if you're looking for something big with very little noise. I also like the fact that they play music when your laundry is done.

Bought this brand new with companion Samsung Washer from Best Buy. Less than 6 WEEKS after delivery the dryer has stopped heating. Had electrician check the power, it is fine. Waiting for call back from Samsung service. Based on other reviews expecting long turn-around from Samsung. Going to inquire about returning. This is a joke. First and Last time I will try Samsung for appliances.

After 3 years, I can say this dryer is a great buy.

Heater coil element died after approximately two years. Will not buy Samsung appliances anymore. They are better with phones than appliances

Needed to purchase new washer and dryer for my new apt. I bought the set and so far it has been worth it.

The dryer does what it's supposed to; it dries clothes efficiently, and it has a lot of settings for different load types. However, the unit I had delivered developed a ridiculously loud screeching noise (90 dB+) within 6 months. Looking online, 6 months seems to be when a lot of Samsung appliances begin to fail. Luckily it was under warranty, so we called to get it serviced. The first time we tried to schedule, they called us back when my wife and I were both at work, and within minutes of not being able to get ahold of us, they cancelled the service request. We ended up setting up a new appointment, and the people never showed up. They are now in the process of issuing a refund, but they tried to process it through Home Depot (hint: we bought it through Best Buy, which is why I'm writing a review here.) Their customer support is basically worthless; it took about 20 minutes on the phone to make them understand that Home Depot wouldn't know anything about my purchase at Best Buy. I'm hoping that they'll be able to get back to me this week with the refund. TL;DR: the dryer is nearly unusable after 6 months, and Samsung is unable/unwilling to repair it, so they are refunding the purchase. I don't know if I'll ever buy another Samsung appliance after this.

Not long after purchasing this dryer the inner drum stopped spinning. The repair guy came out looked at it and ordered the part so he could fix it. During this time I had to pack all of my clean wet clothes up ,after washing them, and take to the laundromat to dry. This was a huge inconvenience and costly. The part was delivered and the repair guy came out and got everything working again. A couple years later it happened again. And now the dryer sits in my mudroom collecting dust because the warranty had expired. So we ended up purchasing a new updated washer and dryer set because my mother-in-law's Samsung washer had to be replaced. She already had a Samsung dryer, so........ she got the washer and we got the dryer. Not sure if I will purchase this brand Next time.

After 1 year old my dryer got a crack in the back of the drum, around 6 inches long. I was calling them 2 or 3 times a week, always They always had an excuse and never solved the problem.The factory never had available the parts after waiting two months . It was annoyed to resolved this problem.

Had dryer for 5 years and it just stopped getting hot 12/12/22

I recommend this Samsung washer. Now it take me half the time.

The dryer went out and we just made it to year six. We are only a family of two.
