Dryer worked for awhile then quit heating. Best Buy can't replace until Samsung looks at it, But samsung has no one in our area available for 2 weeks , It is november and cannot hang cloths out to dry. I should have got a kenmore!

I have all Samsung appliances and this is by first the worst. Our drum had a crack in it in less than a year. Samsung was great to repair it. Now it is not even 14 months old and it will not heat. What a great disappointment.

dryer stopped working after 7 months. expect by washer to not last much longer. washer/dryers used to last 15-20 years. there is too much technology on these new units. just dry the clothes!

I thought it would atleast make it to a year before failing.

This dryer was great when we first bought it. But 2 months after the warranty ended the dryer broke and Samsung was not helpful at all. The cost of having it fixed was to high so we were forced to purchase a new dryer. I do not recommend Samsung products our washer had a recall and the dryer dies quickly. Our previous washer & dryer both last well over 5 years. These did not make it a year.

Years ago i bought a fairly cheap washer and dryer and it lasted about 7 years. This time i bought a more expensive dryer and it made it just over a year. (of course the warranty runs out in one year). A part inside dryer broke off and then broke the belt. Don't expect it to be fixed real fast! I had to wait a week for a samsung tech to come out and he charged me $90 to tell me he would order parts and come fix it in another week and it should only cost me another $200! Really??? i should go buy another disposable dryer like this one and try to make it another year! Very dissapointing. If you only need a dryer to work for a year or so, this is the one!

I'm hoping this will save someone else from a poor purchase. We bought our Samsung washer and dryer less than 3 years ago (July 2016 for model DV45H7000EW/A2). Our dryer has had 2 major repairs in the last 6 months--first, for a bad heating element, and now a broken idler pulley. Both of these failures are common, if you do a little research. $460 total repairs for a 3 year old dryer and almost as much as we paid for it originally. The service tech said that neither of these parts should have failed in such a short time and that the idler pulley was a design flaw (the part has been known to break and has now been redesigned). He literally told me that the dryer wasn't worth further repair should something else break. I realize that I'm well out of the 1 year warranty, but I just don't believe that major appliances like this, which cost a lot of money to begin with, should fail within such a short period of time. Yet, when I contacted Samsung support after the first repair, they told me that there was nothing they could do. My family had the same Maytag washer and dryer for my entire childhood and into college. Previous to this, we had LG appliances that never gave us any issue in 10 years. We should have kept those when we moved. I will never purchase a Samsung appliance again and I would caution anyone else against purchasing.

Cons: Dryer doesn't send text message to come get your clothing. Dryer breaks at 14 mos Buy this dryer if you like the brand name, but aren't concerned with longevity. Do you like spending hours scouring the web for repair videos and repair advice, would you mind traveling to the laundromat to dry your clothes as you decide how to cope with, how to arrange repair of your newer model paper weight? Have you choosen to become an authorized appliance repair technician? We'll look no more.

Installer left the dryer vent pipe extending 4 inches from outside wall and stuck the luovered vent cap on upside down, so vents were always open.

Not sure if I just haven't figured it out. But the settings I use don't always dry clothes first time. But overall it's an okay dryer.

We had this dryer less than 4 years. The heating element went out. It never heated well. It would take over an hour to dry the clothes. We thought it was other issues, like a block dryer vent. We had that cleaned out and found a bird's nest. So, we thought that would solve the problem and it didn't. The dryer looks great, but performance is lousy! I don't remember where I bought it. I thought it was BB, but it isn't in my purchase history. So, I can't give any reference on service.

Its been only 3 years since I purchased this dryer and i am already on the second repair. Why should we, as consumers, accept this as today's norm of "they don't make things like they use to". OBVIOUSLY not because prior to this i had my washer and dryer set for over 20 yrs. I did repairs on those in there 17th or 18th year of use. This is horrific. I am a proud owner of a samsung phone but i will NEVER again buy a Samsung appliance.

This dryer has been called out for repairs to the noise it was making during the drying. They sent a guy out in a DISH truck, who had come out 3 times to repair it. Noise was a bit quieter, but dryer was still louder than normal. Now, 3 months later, it runs, but doesn't blow hot air to dry clothes. After 5 minutes, it cuts off altogether !! NEVER buy a Samsung appliance !!!!! Piece of garbage that looks attractive, but will put your nerves to the utmost test !!!!

Very disappointed that in less than 3 years of purchasing the dryer, it has stopped working twice. Dryer not heating at all. Thermal cut-off fuse keeps going out.

Beware Samsung, I guess. This dryer worked well for 4.5 years, and then stopped heating. We replaced everything (fuses, thermostat, heating element, etc), cleaned it out, and it worked well for four months. We replaced everything again and it worked for two cycles. What a waste.

It is horrible! Drum is falling apart in pieces and rusting through.. only 4 years old... waiting for weeks on repair or replacement... they keep cancelling the repair and resceduling... had enough of it!

Dryer made loud noises. stopped working after shaking and finally stopped with a burning smell. before this on sensor settings it would keep running even when cloths were dry. now I am without a dryer and no funds to purchase without going deeper into debt.

dryer went out last night and the repair man Samsung sent out and the customer service girl BOTH told me just to buy a different brand (Speedqueen) was suggested...maybe take the advice of the employees. My 3 yr old dryer is garbage and they won't fix it

Great product if you are looking for something that last less than two years. I would never recommend this to anybody! Piece of garbage

I bought this with the 1 year financing. I just paid it off 2 months ago, and now it has stopped drying clothes.
