Buy if you want your bedding tangled and twisted

Dries only so so, often it stops when clothes are still a little damp. My greatest complaint is that bedding comes out twisted every time. My last dryer reversed rotation every so often and this never happened, with this Samsung the tangled and twisted result happens always. I have used all settings, of course including the bedding setting, and bedding continues coming out twisted, tangled and/or in balls. No more Samsung for me.

Has broken twice now since purchase in 2018. First was $300 plus repair, still have to see how expensive this one is. The main problem is that most repair companies won't work on them. Multiple repair guys have stated that they are poorly built and over-engineered. I would not recommend buying a Samsung.

    Do Not buy Samsung

My Samsung Dryer caught on FIRE and Samsung sent them out to inspect the Dryer. I bought a Washer and Dryer set 3 1/2 Yrs ago and I already replaced the washer. The Technician stated the fire was caused from "lint build up". My wife and I routinely clean the lint screen and have the vent vacuumed once a year. We even pull it out and clean it every once or twice a year. They obviously are in cahoots with Samsung and said it was our Fault. I read the manual and we are following all of their recommendations for servicing and cleaning. In the end do not buy Samsung service is awful and their products are crumby.

At 10 months old, still within the 1 year warranty, dryer quit and will not start. Called Samsung for warranty service and found out there is no warranty service available in this part of the country, so waiting to here from refund department. Based on warranty refund will be based on purchase price. If that does not include delivery and set-up, taxes ,removal of the junk dryer it will fall about $300.00 short based on price after only 10 months of use.

When this one works it is very nice. We have had several problems with it in the 3 years we have owned it. It has been repaired multiple times. The heating element failed a while back and it looks like it has failed again. We had issues with the belt coming off the drum a couple times as well. I will never buy a Samsung appliance again.

Samsung Customer Service - Stay Away

    Posted .

It is clear that a dryer is not a very complex machine. It may have a few add-ons such as wi fi or a modern design but when it comes to drying as long as you stay in the usual brands, they will work more or less the same. So what differentiates a company based on my perspective? Customer Service. I bought in Best Buy a Samsung a dryer less than 6 years ago, a model very similar to the one that you are exploring, and suddenly it stopped working. The Control Board started to fail. To make things short, the part is not available. Samsung decided to stop supporting this (and many other models). A 6-year old model. The explanation of the customer service is that they are always progressing with new products and they cannot support the "old ones". The suggestion from them? Buy a new one... Conclusion: if you are willing to buy products from a company that does not care about you but only about their revenue. Go ahead. Samsung is the company. You will probably get a good looking product. Nothing else.

    Doesn't work

Just got this dryer on Sunday and it shuts off every few minutes. It shows the code tc which means a vent issue or lint in the trap. Installed a new vent system and the lint trap is brand new clean. Now I'm air drying clothes. Looking up info on the codes tells nothing. Then they say contact a repair center. How about no. It's brand new I paid for brand new so I should have a new one, not a repaired one.

    Very dissapointing

Very little control outside of the presets it comes with. You can't change things like temperature of the dryer for a given preset. Which is ridiculous. You can't control how long it dries for in a given preset. Also ridiculous. As a result I find I have to dry each load twice because it does not dry in one cycle. The heat does not get hot at all. Also there are two clear plastic windows on the door of this unit. One on the outside, one on the inside. Mine is all scuffed and dirty BETWEEN these two pieces. So it can never be cleaned. And will always look like junk

Specifications state that is is stackable but you need a step ladder to get to the controls for the dryer if you stack them. Horrible design. Very annoying.

    Dryer door doesn’t stay closed

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I would not recommend a Samsung dryer. Extremely frustrating that the dryer door does not stay closed. This triggers the door sensor and stops the dryer. Literally it can result in the dryer stopping up to 10 times to get through a cycle if drying something heavier like bedding. Contacted Samsung but the just refer you to a repair person to fix on your own dime.
