First impressions are key and this dryer hits a home run. The FlexDry dryer has a large drum that will take anything and everything you can put it in. The delicate upper dryer is great for smaller items that risk damage in the main drum. The various modes take the guesswork out of choosing heating level and time and the breadth of options ranging from towels, to bedding, permanent press, and steam refresh all serve their purpose in a household of five. The steam cycles are great for dress shirts that need a quick sprucing up. The Wrinkle Prevent feature is great for the situations where you won't be around to promptly remove items from the dryer that risk wrinkles if left in. The bright LED light provides ample brightness to ensure that the smallest of infant clothing isn't forgotten, which is great. One discovery, Eco dry is on by default when selecting the Normal mode and adds a bit of time however it runs at a lower energy consumption. The smartphone app works well for keeping track of the status, however it would be great if the gas variant of the dryer could also be controlled from it. Installation was a breeze and took very little time or effort at all. For a family of five where several loads of laundry are run each week, this FlexDry dryer is a workhorse. It is well worth it's cost and this one can't be beat.   This review written as part of The Insiders program.

After 2 years of light use ( 5 loads per week avg.), the dryer would not turn off after the cycle was complete. The unit would just continue to spin until the door was opened. Ok. We learned ti work around this issue. Now, just after 3 years, the dryer will not heat/dry(gas). To fix, the unit must be taken apart including removing the drum! I have read many reviews and i do not want to put more money and time to repair (parts) just to have another breakdown. Buyer beware. Samsung is aware of these issues but will not provide assistance.

I bought the Samsung FlexDry with the matching washer. They both worked great until now. After only 3 months of ownership the drum on the dryer is warped and bangs every time it is used. I thought Samsung would have had a better quality product than this. Now comes the aggravating service calls to tear apart a 3 month old $1500 dryer. I can guarantee that the service tech will not have the drum on the truck even though I told them the issue and offered a picture on my finger fitting through the gap where it is warped.

Purchased the previous highest end Samsung steam dryer and the bearings started making an intermittent screeching noise (extremely loud) right after the warranty expired. Never had a dryer fail so quickly…
