The outer window is made up of cheap plastic, not glass, as I assumed. I am selling my house so that any problems will belong to the next owner.

If you aren't stacking or putting the dryer on a pedestal, you do have to lean pretty far down to get the clothes out (again more of an issue for seniors and bad backs).
