Metallic noise when drum moves

Incredible Shrinking Machine

I keep having to set it to low heat which takes way too long to dry. I tried various settings and just doesn't seem to work as well as my old Kenmore. Too much fuzzy logic in these high tech machines is not necessarily a good thing!

Works well, bad lint trap

Needs repair every 2 years

Got it delivered and installed by the professionals, used it once, and it wouldn't work again. Turn on, yes. Heat up or allow drum movement, no. Apparently, the motor is bad. I'm still waiting for the replacement to be installed.

Great Dryer

It fits our budget and is stack able, which is a plus for us. I'm not sure I have 50 words to describe it. It's a dryer, in our budget, and we like it.

worse dryer ever

Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.worse dryer ever, during summer it would dry clothes and during this winter season the machine runs forever and can't even dry 4 towels, techs came in since it is under 1yr manufacturers warranty , without checking the first time they changed the heating element. still didn't work and i called the same night to the customer service, after a week i got another appointment and this time the tech told the power source was not good, but at the first appointment the tech said the power source is good and nothing else is wrong. since i was not home the tech said it warms up but does it dry clothes. ridiculous!

Not happy with Samsung!

However, my daughter bought a Samsung high def washer and dryer and they have been money pits. Dryer kept overheating and it cost her $400 to repair. Washer became very moldy. She took it to a scrap metal shop to just get rid of it. Will never buy any Samsung products again!

I read about many problems with these dryers. Turns out they have a relay that sticks and cause this symptom so every 2 weeks or so i would have to take off the top lead and tap on the relay to un-stick it to get it to work. So I ordered a new board for it. The day I receive the board i go to install it and the dryer does not even power up now. I expected better quality from Samsung

Heating Element Broke After a Year and a Half

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This dryer never got particularly hot, but after about a year and a half, it started just blowing cold air and making a bad rattling sound. The replacement part is only about $30, but it's a bit of a pain to pull everything apart. I would certainly expect a dryer to work past 18 months. I bought my last dryer 20 years ago and sold it with my house and it still ran like a champ.

Poor build quality.

Once to replace the element and once to replace the rollers, tensioner and belt due to a horrendous squeak. I wouldn’t purchase this dryer again.

There was NO HEAT

This one didn’t have any heat right after it was delivered and installed, the first lost heat after 4 years. I was on the phone for —-40 minutes—to schedule BB to pick it up and start my refund process. I have always liked Samsung, but I am now switching to a Whirlpool. We also replaced the heating element and thermostat on our first Samsung dryer with neither working. I expected the dryer to last longer than 4 years; I am not making the same mistake this this dryer.
