bad purchase

Terrible product for price point

Stopped working after 3 years of gentle use

Poor dryer had to return

Great Machine

This Samsung has just the right number of features for us and has done a terrific job on all of our wash from workout clothing up to cleanup towels from the garage and garden. It is very quiet and easy to operate and seems to dry much quicker than my old machine.

Don't Buy This Dryer

Now it has a cracked drum. We only washed clothes so I know we didn't damage it. The warranty has run out and repairs would cost $500 on a $800 dryer and will probably crack again. Don't buy this item. It's poorly made and a waste of money.

LOVE this dryer!

I've done a half dozen loads and I can say it's a pleasure to use. It thoroughly dries the clothes and all but 1 item have been wrinkle free. (The one wrinkled item was one pair of jeans in a big load; they recommend running jeans on a different setting; I'll try that. That being said, my other jeans came out wrinkle free on the "Normal" setting.) My prior dryer (a Maytag - more than 10 years old) took a lot longer to dry clothes. Perhaps it's because the Samsung's drum is horizontal -- does that help dry the clothes faster? Whatever it is, it does the job, in a very reasonable amount of time (far faster than my old one!). Some loads are done in 44 or so minutes. Bulkier items (comforters, blankets) take a little over an hour. That's perfectly OK with me. I like, too, the glass window. You can visually see when the clothes are dry (plus my dog finds it fascinating! LOL). I do not find it any noisier than any other dryer; I have a laundry room and a little hum is to be expected. No biggie. So much faster and efficient than my last dryer I just wanted to post a review! (I used the reviews in making my purchase; I found them very helpful and so am returning the favor!)

I have no opinion yet on it's operation since I just got it, but BEWARE, the control panel is slanted so that when it is stacked and you are standing on the floor, you cannot see the settings very well unless you are REALLY tall or use a step stool/ladder. It would not be a problem when used side by side. Not a deal breaker, but kind of a dumb design.
