This appliance was not suitable for the dimensions and location of the installation. The Home Advisor did not understand nor listen to the requirements and this resulted in a 6 week delay that became unacceptable and required multiple calls and missed appts.

Dryer has been serviced for the Same issue several times & I'm in the process of requesting a replacement. Sensor settings don't work & have been replaced several times, so has Brain of Dryer. I don't recommend this dryer.

Dryer does not work good. It takes forever to dry and sometimes doesnt even dry.i called to get help or direction and was run around and not helped at all. Worst purchase I ever made.

I should have gone with my gut feeling. Been having a lot of issues since we installed it. Sucks we installed it months later now we’re screwed and best buy cant help us

This dryer takes very long to dry and sometimes leaves clothes Damp. Do not waste your money on this dryer. I regret buying it.

After a significant amount of research and toiling over the excessive prices for dryers (it seems like they've doubled in the last 10 years#, I landed on this model, primarily due to a high Consumer Reports rating, an extremely big discount, and because it looks very similar to a Kenmore Elite I replaced. In fact, it fits the Kenmore base perfectly and, at a glance, is a very close match to my old washer that it sits next to. I have had it for 3 months now, and I'm at a point where I can say I definitely don't like it. There are several significant irritants with this dryer. First, it balls-up almost all large items like no other dryer I have ever used. Sheets, towels, and even jeans are ALWAYS wound in a tight mess of a knot, along with everything else that gets caught in the wrath. This happens within a few minutes into the cycle. In particular, drying sheets requires at least 3 complete removals and unwindings during the 1+ hour of drying time. If you forget to do this, you'll easily triple the dry time, having to unravel and restart the load--they'll be wound so tight that nothing will dry. I don't know if it is the speed of the drum, the odd paddles #they're shaped like none other I've seen before#, or what. Second, it developed an annoying rattle inside, toward the back, after a few months of use. I read another review that mentioned a "scraping" noise, which may be the same thing I'm experiencing. It sounds more like a rattle, in my opinion--probably some metal object that has become loose inside. This isn't a huge deal for me, as my laundry room is in the basement, but it is extremely annoying. Additionally, there are a few other minor annoyances. Like when checking clothes mid-cycle #or unraveling, per my earlier comment#, there is a chime to indicate that the door is open, just like on a car when you leave the keys in the ignition. This is a completely unnecessary and annoying feature. Also, the unit has to be turned off and on between loads. It takes several seconds to turn on #very much like a Samsung TV, in fact#. Why can't I make my selections and push "start" like every other dryer I've ever owned? I mentioned the dry time for sheets--it seems long, but judging from my last dryer, it takes about the same length of time. The plusses? It looks nice and has very good capacity for the size. It does dry thoroughly if you use the "more dry" setting and don't overload it. The lint catch is an ingenious design that prevents lint from sneaking past--much better than any other I've seen. However, the benefits do not outweigh the problems. In hindsight, I would have gladly paid another $200 for a dryer without these issues.

The dryer is switching off from 03 to 05 minutes after use, what should I do to solve it?

After 1yr machines running has a noise, we no happy this machine.

Could use some support on this issue. Hasn’t worked well since purchase

Would be more useful if hooked up rather then sitting in my laundry room!

The dryer is good overall. Love having a front loader and allows for large loads.

Purchased this dryer recently to upgrade some older outdated equipment. I've stacked this on top of the 4.2cu washing machine & couldn't be happier. The dryer works great & isn't rough on the clothes. The lint trap is great & very user friendly.....easy to clean. Controls are pretty self-explanatory and easy to use. The only downside of having them stacked is that my girls have to use a step-stool to see everything.

This washing machine has been great. I have a large family of 8 and the machine runs every day.

We looked at this with the LG and whirlpool, all at the same price point. The Samsung tipped the scale with a better looking unit. Has been working daily for several months without issue. Best buy install was great, although on the store side it took over an hour to complete sale.

Well, the dryer does great job drying clothes or regular items. When it comes to bed sheet or blankets larger items, the blades in the drum just roll them up into a big ball which leave the middle still wet after its cycle. On the outside, all the buttons and knobs are nicely done, but some how there are deficiencies on the drum design that roll up larger items. Whenever I am drying bed sheets I have to stop the dryer in the middle of its cycle, pull out the sheets and untangle them all and start again to get a good drying. It's a pain the the behind! Will consider other trusted brand in making washer/dryer.

Wow what a machine. It dries my laundries fast. Not to mention, sleek looking too

Bought this dryer DV42H5000GW to match front loading washer. Decided that the washer was too much trouble. It has maintenance items and mold potential. Plus did not like bending over to load/ unload. So the dryer was the matching unit. It seemed to work OK.. but never really learned to use it. It would not dry anything completely. Also, it started making a scraping sound after about 2 weeks. Something may have been stuck in it. Ended up exchanging it for the LG DLE1101W.

After just 3 years its already not heating, its been taken care of for lint after every load and even checked for lint going out of the house. Now I have to pay to have a repairs done on a new dryer? My last one was 20 years old never needed repairs

I've had this dryer for about a year now. It works really well. I can't imagine a better dryer for the price.
