Poor quality for the money

I loved this fryer while it lasted but Samsung just isn’t reliable anymore. My washing machine also only lasted 4 years. I wouldn’t recommend spending the money on something that doesn’t last.

Making screeching noises in less than 1 year

In less than 1 year, it started to make screeching noises from time to time. Best Buy tech came out and fixed it. Fast forward to now, noise is back again and this time my protection plan has expired (only purchased a 3-year plan). Now, I have to see if anyone is willing to come out to repair it while CA is sheltering in place or if I need to buy another one. To buy another one, BB would have to leave it outside and my husband and son will have to carry it inside and install it. I owned a Kenmore set of washer and dryer for over 12 years before this and did not have any issues with them until the dryer quit in 2016.

Gas dryer drum has cracked, felt is coming off.

Dryer drum has now cracked and has a hole in it, felt is coming off, rollers apparently need to be replaced, moisture sensors quit working last year so have to dry on timed dry which takes TWO cycles to dry clothes now. Totally unacceptable and Samsung needs to rectify this! I'm not the only one. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

LOUD after 5 years, and bed sheets BALL up.

I purchased in December of 2016. 1 year warranty, of course...The drum has starting making a very loud noise like a worn bearing. I can't dry things at night when people are trying to sleep. Additionally, bed sheets ALWAYS ball up in this thing. I think it's because the drum only spins in one direction, so I always end up drying the fitted sheet separately from everything else. God forbid I put in this bedspread. Got into such a tight ball that the dryer started POUNDING. The bed spread is now hanging over a door to get some of the water dry then I'll try again.

Don't Buy Samsung

Disappointed, but maybe I was unlucky with a fault

I gave two stars, because in all fairness it was not as expensive as other brands, and it dried sometimes

DO NOT BUY

A little background: Purchased Sept 2019 for new house, first time using it was mid Nov 2019. One person household that does 1-2 loads a month. Starting Jan 2021, dryer was not heating up and clothes would come out damped. Had it checked out just to find that the flame would get ignited and go out in less than 5 seconds. The control board needed to get replaced. Parts and labor cost me over $400! That's ridiculous for someone who just bought it a little over a year ago and barely used their dryer! Even before this happening, I was already dissatisfied that a load would take HOURS to dry. Now with this happening, very very disappointed!

Two Years....

We bought it at Best Buy in May of 2018. Sorry would never buy Samsung appliances again. Spent WAY too much money for a dryer to last only 2 years. Don't say you weren't warned. Wonder how long the people who wrote great reviews had owned their machine at the time they wrote them? We loved ours too... for two years. Now? Not so much. At the very least get the 5 year extended warranty. After checking on line, seems may people wished they had.

DO NOT BUY THIS DRYER

Prior to installing it, we completely cleaned out the dryer exhaust vent to make sure there would be no issues with that. After installation, the dryer barely dries the clothes at all. It typically takes 2 to 3 dryer cycles to get the clothes mostly dry. Plus, we have to only dry about half of the load from our old washing machine, since there is no way this dryer can dry an entire load of clothes. We are extremely disappointed with this purchase and would not recommend this to anyone.

Dryer broke down not even 4 years after purchase

I bought mine right here from Best Buy and had it professionally installed. It worked perfectly fine for 4 years but then broke down. I suspect it's the belt but not sure. I have a service appointment for next week. Expecting much better from Samsung!
