It's a trap. Do not buy it.

We have been going back and forth with GeekSquad (protection plan) and Samsung and the machine fails again for the same reason. It stops heating and they change the whole heater piece. Then again and again. I've asked it to be replaced and one push the problem to the other. It has been a nightmare.

Poor quality

Dish came out three times a already to fix this issues. I’d not encourage anyone buying this piece of equipment. It’s horrible. It’s expensive but not functioning properly. Looks nice but piece of crap

Terrible job drying and wrinkles everything

We had a gas LG at our prior home and I should have bought the LG again!! It’s inconsistent at best. There are times I put the wrinkle guard on and it works and other times, it just shuts off at the end of the cycle and lets the close sit and wrinkle. There have literally been times I open the dryer and there is ZERO heat! Just clothes tossing around in air (and no, it’s not on the air dry setting). If I can ever find time to wait on hold, I’ll be calling both Best Buy and Samsung. Never another Samsung dryer for me!! Total piece of crap!

I see you are concerned about how wrinkle prevent is working on your dryer. When you turn wrinkle prevent on, this will prevent wrinkles by not letting your clothes rest for a long period of time. The unit will rotate with no heat until you get home from work and you would be able to take them out and fold or hang them instead of a fluff cycle. Thank you for choosing Samsung. ^Brad

Delays and a Missing key element

When it did arrive it seems the sales associate had not included the stacking kit that keeps the dryer safely on top of the washing machine. They say the earliest delivery of the $40 part is another three weeks in the future with no possibility of delivery being expedited. So seven weeks in total and this was for any make of appliance. Not even a remotely satisfactory experience.

Best to avoid or buy insurance

I advice to get the protection plan in case you run into problems, not sure how much longer this will last with water seeping inside without a way to get it out.

Poor drying sensor.

However, we were very disappointed with how Geek Squad installed it and its poor drying sensor. Firstly, the Geek Squad installers did not connect the water line, so we cannot take advantage of the steam settings. This is something I know they can do, as we have purchased another Samsung dryer from BestBuy, and those installers did attach the water line to that dryer. Secondly, the auto drying sensor is terrible. The dryer stops very prematurely and our items are still very wet (not just mildly damp).

Bad lint trap design

Dryer has a couple new features but it has a new lint trap design, folded in half, that is extremely difficult to open to clean, and is made out of plastic which looks like it will break in a couple years.

If your dryer ends after only a couple of minutes with soaking wet clothes, your moisture sensors could be dirty. Samsung dryers are generally very quiet. Delivery person would not remove it and said I would get a replacement faster if it was left there. Replacement scheduled for delivery 11/17. This was canceled and now I am told earliest delivery is 12/30. Wko knows whether this is a good model or not? Not me!

It took multiple trips, and last min reschedules (for which I left, or missed work) to finally complete delivery. Months later, I have yet to hear back from their claims department. Terrible svc, no follow-up and it’s almost impossible to get through to anyone who can help. I’ll never shop w/them again, this has been a complete nightmare.

Poor Washer and Dryer Installation

The dryer door opens from left to right (have the hinges on the right side of the door). They installed dryer on the left and the washer on the right. This is very inconvenient. Please swap the position of the dryer to the right and the washer to the left so that the doors open away from each other.

Posted .Hi Debjani! Typically the location of the washer and dryer is determined by the location of the hookups in the home. I do have good news though! Many Samsung dryers are designed to allow easy reversal of the door. This means you can change the direction the dryer door opens. If this is an option for your model, you can find steps on how to do this in the user manual. ^Jecca
