Good TV but outdated already.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best TV for the price in 2019 but not anymore in 2020. Picture Quality: 5 stars. It doesn't do local dimming but provide reasonably good quality of picture. If you are not the enthusiast, you will be very satisfied with this TV. User Interface: 3 stars. Samsung UI isn't intuitive. LG has better UI. I had to press more buttons to access certain features. For example, you can't edit the channel list on the setting menu. UI doesn't feel snappy. Future Proof: 1 stars. It doesn't support ATSC 3.0 broadcasting standard which will be available soon (mid 2020). You have to buy another TV or add an external setup box to watch the broadcast over the air. Adding an external setup box isn't easy as this TV has only two HDMI ports. One is for a receiver, the other is for a media streamer, and you have no HDMI port for the setup box. I recommend you wait for several months. Buy a TV having ATSC 3.0 decoder, which will be available soon. Samsung and LG have the technology as they are already selling ATSC 3.0 TV in South Korea since 2017. No, you can't upgrade your TV. You have to replace the entire TV for $$$$$ or add an external setup box for $$$. If you don't need over the air broadcasting, or simply use it as HDMI monitor, this is the TV for you.

Doesn't live long enough.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good picture, some times the picture got blurred when there was action, while using dynamic setting. Only problem I have is it only lasted 3 years , I called a repair service and they said the " display died" so I have to replace the tv.

Disappointed 4 years later
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Left upper quarter of tv had had a different refresh speed/frame rate than the rest of the tv since we got it. It’s 4 years old not and the screen is so dark we can barely see it. Already having to look for a replacement. Friends bought same tv at the same time and have different color panels. Overall unimpressed

Not worth the money spent.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not really what I feel Samsung quality should be. Had big issue with basically losing it's configuration - would lose wifi on startup, lose custom audio configuration to go out HDMI port to surround sound stereo, etc... Only fix is a reboot and reconfigure. Ultimately, the display on the unit failed out after 4yrs and 4 months. Again, not worth the price I paid for Samsung technology.

Great TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firstly, you need to understand you’re paying $600 for a 4K 70” Samsung. If you understand that first part, you will also understand this is a 6 series, one of Samsung’s lowest class series. Now, for a 70” $600 tv, the blacks are deep and the nit brightness is actually quite good. Once you google the best display settings, and of course, turn of “auto motion plus” (that makes the TV render its own frames to match the framerate of the TV with the movie. Horrible idea to let your TV quite literally add extra frames the movie producers did not intend for). Always turn sharpness to 0. We wall mounted this TV next to a window and the glare is minimal thanks to the overall brightness of the display. It’s quite thin for an LED. I have another 50” LG and this Samsung is way thinner. It’s still quite heavy, so please don’t cheap out on a wall mount. They’re easy to install, though. Thanks to bestbuy for delievering our TV to the apt for us.
