Disappointed

Geek squad member came to switch out the tv with a new one five days later. Found the initial installer didn’t “push tv cord into back of tv far enough, so weight of cords pulled it from the back of the tv”. Worked for another two days, then turned off again. That was two days ago and was told I have to wait another twelve days for a tv switch. Payment however, is due today. So how do you think I feel? It worked for a total of 12 days, and is sitting blank for eight days with another 9 to go. Total tech protection and geek squad membership hasn’t helped in this process. And the purchase date was June 23rd. The new tv was supposed to be here June 10, but the old one was supposedly fixed.

The RU8 Series features Ultra Slim Array backlight, HDR10 plus, wide viewing angle, Real Game Enhancer and more, all designed to give you the best in lifelike, crystal-clear viewing enjoyment. The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer the signal is to 4K, the better it will look coming out.
It also has several preset picture modes and many custom settings, allowing users to adjust images to their liking.
The Dynamic Mode is our typical store demo mode and is the brightest among all presets.
Standard Mode is ideal for home and everyday viewing.
Movie Mode is the closest setting to calibration the way the director intended as it uses less enhancements and will likely result in the truest picture.
In addition, the quality of the image on your screen depends on the source and the connection.
HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing; and when possible, 4K content will provide the best picture quality.
The quality of the streaming content depends largely on the speed of your internet, as most content providers have adaptive streaming that will automatically adjust the image quality based on the network bandwidth.

Short lifespan, zero support from Samsung.

Purchased on 11/31/19, so a few months short of 2 years old. Was great until last week. Started with green vertical bars across the screen, and a horizontal bar across the top. Called Samsung Tech Support, looks like hw problem. Filed a request for service online for out of warranty service. Received a call 4 days later, saying, Sorry, we don't have anyone in the area to service it. We will close your ticket. I asked if I could take it into a service center. No, there's none you can take it too. Bye. Overall, very poor service by Samsung.

The picture was not real clear and it had a drag time when the picture would change. I thought it was a great price so I went with it, but now I can see you get what you pay for.

Red pixel

After closer inspection I noticed it was a stuck pixel. Past the return date so had to contact Samsung. They wanted me to ship it to them for repair at my own cost. What a joke. My other samsung I got about 4 years ago is having major issues too with picture quality. Samsung used to be king of tv's but I'm noticing a trend here with the recent poor quality. My next TV will not be a samsung.

Great TV, Bad glare reflection

Makes Constant Popping Noise

The first time I turned the television on, I heard a weird popping noise coming from behind the back panel. Initially, this noise only happened about once a minute, however, this quickly turned into something that occurred 25-30 times a minute. After checking to see whether or not it was a speaker issue (it wasn't), I called customer support, who told me that it was a common issue due to thermal expansion and the TV warming up. That would be fine, however, this issue persists for sometimes up to 2-3 hours after I've turned on the TV. After having a service technician come out to look at the TV, he tried replacing the power board and also essentially told me that this noise was a common occurrence on TVs these days. The noise then started again about five minutes after he left, and makes the TV essentially unusable. I just refuse to believe that a TV costing over a grand comes standard with a loud popping noise. Very unsatisfied with this response and will definitely not be purchasing from Samsung in the future.

Waiting to long

Broken in 3 weeks and BB wouldn't answer the phone

Is 75" waited for a neighbor / friend to assist with hanging on the wall in my new home. Installed / powered on 5-15-2020. TV failed on 6/10-2020. Called BB (10 days after Gov Whitmer lifted stay at home order) only to be hung up on. Called 5 more times over the course of a few days. Called corporate office to be transfered and hung up on again. Filed claim w Samsung online, 10 days later they say they can't find techs to repair due to COVID19! Samsung issues RMA but it's 75"!! Won't fit in my car!! Amex dispute and BB refuses to accept charge back since in their mind it's been more than 30 days!!!
