Will Not Stay Connected to Wi-Fi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When it works, it's OK. It's slow, the memory is small, given the bloatware. The main problem is for users who rely on their Wi-Fi rather than cable. This TV has a hard time staying connected, even while all of the other Wi-Fi-connected appliances stay connected. I have to routinely physically disconnect the TV from the wall so that it reconnects. I can no longer simply power-off/on.

Lack of contrast Poor colors Everything looked grey and foggy. Picture was way worse than my 12 years old Toshiba 55”. Lots of reflections from windows and lights. Very disappointed. Upgraded to Samsung 75” Q80T. Night and day difference! DO NOT BUY THIS TV!

Terrible purchase...

After a purchase 2 years ago at $2700, then 2 years later the panel goes bad (cost $1300 to fix), then to see it priced at $997 at Best Buy. Lesson learned ! You do the math after reviewing this review and ask yourself is it worth it ? You'll never get your ROI...

Out of the box failure

It flashed twice when pressing the power on and then it dies. I am very disapoinnted and fustratted to say the least, especially after waiting for almost 2 hours. Lets' hope I can a replacement or another model tomorrow.

Tekniton their repair servicer has a 1.4/5 BBB rating. Can't get ahold of anyone, it has taken over 2 weeks to get a repair scheduled. Even after all that the Warranty will not be extended due to the replaced parts.

I am very sorry for the issues you have had with your TU8000 TV which required you to have it serviced. The 1-year manufacturer warranty is valid from the original date of purchase. We also guarantee 90 days from the date of repair. So if, for example, your TV was serviced near the end of your 1-year warranty period, your TV would still be covered for 90 days for the same symptom.
