The television set is, indeed, phenomenal. Since I have received the set, I invariably watch many a movie on streaming applications, such as Netflix. By reason of its wide color gamut, motion handling, ultra viewing technology, anti-reflective panel and AI upscaling technology, I recommend that one be determined to purchase, with celerity, the television. It depends upon one's emolument; in addition, if you are able to afford, please it will be a good, in my opinion, purchase. It could ameliorate boredom if one were to watch sports and other entertaining contents; additionally, it assuredly produces realistic color volume, especially one that surpasses most LED LCD sets; furthermore, it produces deep blacks that can sometimes compare to an OLED set; quite the contrary, it sometimes crushes details that are in dark scenes; however, its refined technology, particularly picture quality, can impress anyone. Incidentally, the set size has become my living room centerpiece. It could be only I who is proudly praising the set, while others have different opinions; however, I am, in fact, pertinacious, thus holding true to my opinions. It depends upon whom you ask. Were you to ask me, I would say, "Go for the TV!"

Purchasing a new TV is complex and that last thing anyone wants is to drop hard earned money on something that you're not really happy with, so that like buying anything expensive should come with good old fashioned research.
So I did the needful and researched, researched, and researched some more and it got a little confusing between models, brands, and comparisons... several times.
Black Friday and Super Bowl are the best times to buy.
It wasn't really in our budget, but having a big empty wall and an old 50" 2nd gen Flat TV was beginning to drive my crazy because we LOVE our movie nights and all the other on demand content.
Not having the extra money to buy the perfect blacks of the LG OLED in the size that I wanted, I decided to explore as much of the other options that are available from SONY, VIZIO, SAMSUNG, TCL, HISENSE and after a few trips to Costco and BestBuy I ended up at Best Buy dazzled by the Samsung QLED 8R Q80 Series in 75" that was on Black Friday for LESS than the 75" Q70 75" and and only a few hundred more than the Q7 82" @ Costco... The difference is HUGE between these models - Full Array Dimming gives better blacks and picture. Wide Angle Viewing on the Q8 that we bought gives everyone in the room a great seat in our semi-circle of cozy chairs about 10' from the screen. We have not calibrated the TV yet but will be scheduling that after the holidays. We wanted the BEST and the BIGGEST picture quality for the LEAST $$$ that we could find and this deal was definitely it. While I would have loved an 82-86" and had a couple of options, the technology and picture quality just didn't have the feeling that the enjoyment factor was going to last as long - Notable mention was the LG - Nano Series, and the Samsung 86" 4K UHD - which has an IPS screen for better viewing angles at the expense of blacks. For the picture quality, features, size, and $$$ - this was the best TV we could find find for under $2400.00.
Happy we bought this! Also to share... I found a lot of great information that helped me with the hair splitting comparisons of picture and features and actual technical aspects to the picture and TV that we were looking for and they break the review ratings down by intended uses - Gaming, Movies, PC/Monitor etc. Check out - Rtings.com they stand out as having been the most helpful in the non-visual research that I did. I'm just a consumer - no hype plugs for their site.

This was an upgrade to a 60" SUHD set that I had purchased in 2016. While I was satisfied with that set, this new set exceeds in every possible way. The blacks are darker and more defined, and the viewing angle is superb for an LCD display. My only complaint is the motion smoothing still does not look good to my eye, but one of the trade-offs of LCD is the pixel refresh rate. Color performance is good, setup is a breeze and it is integrated very seamlessly within my home theater setup.

This 75 inch tv is fantastic. There may be tv’s capable of producing a better picture, but certainly no where near the same price. If one is looking at best bang for the buck. Look no further. The side angle viewing and reflection blocking are the best I’ve seen. The remote is easy. I especially like the way it works with the Samsung sound bar and the Samsung 4K DVD. It’s almost too easy. Love it!

I purchased this tv before black Friday because of the price, and didn’t have it delivered until mid-December. And that’s what I did for the next 3 weeks before my tv arrived.
Reviews are really all over the place with this tv. BestBuy has almost a 5 star review on this tv, and ratings.com has it around a 8.5 out of 10. I see many YouTube reviews that says this is not a good year for Samsung TVs. All this talk about blooming blacks, and such.
When I turned on this tv, it was awesome from the moment the picture hit the screen. I got the 75" model and it was everything I wanted from a TV. I have that movie theater feeling when you watch this tv. In fact it’s so clear, that I got a bit sick when playing PS4 on it.
The Picture is just amazing on this tv. I have an Samsung qled 2018 Q8fn tv in 55 in the living room. And this tv is just so much nicer to watch. This is a great year for Samsung TV's. I can’t imagine a better looking tv, well maybe an OLED TV, but when you play video games you stay away from those.
Very Happy with this TV, 1 remote controls my att tv box, ps4, and my android tv box, and my Q80 Soundbar I got with this thing. A happy camper with just 1 remote.
One Note, I used the ratings.com settings to setup the picture of this tv. Just a note, you use your backlight to brighten up the screen, instead of the bright options. This will allow you to brighten without changing the picture colors.

I wanted to go big on my next TV so I researched Rtings.com to see what the sweet spot would be for me. I knew I couldn't go this big with OLED, but found that the blacks were really good on the Q80 QLED Samsung has.
Even in a dark room the local dimming zones make really deep blacks. I'm sure I'd notice if it was side by side with an OLED, but I don't notice the bleed like I did with my 10 year old Sharp.
I used to disdain smart TV features, but the way the remote integrates with my Playstation 4 to control it for connecting to streaming services is great. I don't need to keep the controller out unless I'm playing games.
Watching movies on it feels much more cinematic due to the image quality and size. While the included speakers are pretty good, I'd recommend getting at least a soundbar if not a separate speaker setup.

The 75" Q80 is AWESOME!
I have been following and comparing the Samsung QLED models for the last two years. I wasn’t about to buy one when the old set was working but this weekend when the old DLP bit the dust I was happy that I was prepared. As the model numbers imply, the Q70 is better than the Q60, the Q80 better than the Q70 and so on. IMO, there is not a big difference between the Q60 and Q70 but there is a HUGE difference between the Q70 and Q80! Coincidentally, there was a special sale going on and the Q80 and Q90 were priced well. In the past I never considered the Q90 due to price. I considered the Q90 this time because there was only a $500 price difference between the Q90 and Q80. I compared the two side by side with settings the same at a distance that mimics the distance I view TV in my home. and at that distance I could not tell the difference between the two. As I got further away (20-25 feet), one could easily see that the Q90 had a brighter picture. I chose the Q80 for the following reasons:
1. No discernible difference in picture quality at normal home viewing distances
2. The Q90 has a better audio system but I use a home theater for audio so that would be a waste
3. The Q80 has all connections on the back of the set like TVs have always had. The Q90 uses the One Connect box where a separate box has all the smarts and connections with a single cable bringing power and video to the set. The box is not tiny but smaller than any other component (more like a large brick!) but you need to find a place to hide it. I wasn’t looking to add another component to my system and I was concerned about heat inside a cabinet. The Q80 barely gets warm.
I went with the 75” Q80. Setting this up is easy but definitely a two-man job because the set is a beast. The only issue I had was that the stand simply slides into the bottom of the set and there are no screws. It is snug but I jostled one side while setting it in my cabinet and that was enough for the leg to fall out.
That night we watched the Eagles Farewell 1 concert on Blue Ray and it was amazing! This was a standard BR and the set did a great job of enhancing the video! The detail of the set is incredible. Watched some football over the weekend and that was amazing as well. A little pricey but well worth it in my opinion.

I could not love my new 75 in 4K UHD Samsung TV anymore than I do. The picture is beyond fabulous. It was incredibly easy to set up right out of the box and the Smart features make watching shows or movies on various platforms like Hulu or YouTube, etc. a breeze. I would recommend this TV and the Samsung family of products to anyone looking for a new TV.

We were really struggling with finding a TV that had a great picture, great features and could handle the significant brightness of our family room during day. Well, problem solved as this TV has been absolutely perfect in our bright family room. It handles the brightness and sun glare perfectly as it really is obvious that it has 3 layers of reflective coating on the screen when it nicely diffuses any bright lights on it. Dark pictures still show some reflections during the day, but it is nowhere near as distracting as our previous TVs. The picture, size, smart features, and 4K upscaling are all outstanding and it turns on and off in literally one second! Great purchase that we are very happy with!

Bought this tv in Mohegan Lake NY store and the product was great. Easy to use, fast set up. It was good for the price I paid at the time. Since then, I've moved and didn't keep the TV. Going w/ an OLED next time. I've only have bought Samsung or LG. In my humble opinion, those are the only 2 company's that make great TV's. Although Sony is on their heels. Best Buy employees were very knowledgeable and explained the differences on the store demos. The geek squad has always been great if I have some hard technical questions. Also, I had a sales rep come to my apartment at the time and gave some direction on viewing angles and best sound options.

-This particular unit was previously used and had some flaws I didn't initially notice, including internal speakers that seem to fail at certain low tones.-
Attributing those initial impressions to being an open box. This is a beautiful screen. Easy to "assemble" and just as easy to get up and running. The brightness and range of colors is astonishing with UHD HDR content. That being said, I feel sometimes as if it's simply not on the proper settings to maximize the screens capabilities for a particular piece of content. There's more motion blur and little artifacts than I'd assumed there would be. I've found the best picture possible has come from a UHD Bluray player using the newest discs, supporting the latest HDR and Dolby formats. Regular streaming content sometimes looks fairly impressive if it's also in HDR.
Aside from my preconceived notions of what this screen should be capable of, it does an awful lot. It's a beautiful picture and you'll find great pleasure in re-watching some of your old favorites just to find some fun little details that have never been clear enough to note.

The picture is amazing the colors are great it's very bright and the TV its self is a looker. Great style. The only problem is the same with just about all TVs now is the motion. When there is some very fast movement it just can't keep up. It's only noticeable to me because that's what I look for and with this TV its minimal. I still love my Panasonic plasma for that reason. The picture is better by far on this TV but nothing motion wise compares to the plasmas. Maybe one day but this is an awesome TV and would recommend it. Little pricey though. Oh yeah turn off Bixby first thing or she'll annoy the hell out of you. Trust me.

I’m a loyal Samsung TV customer and here’s another reason why. Needed a new large TV for new home. 75” was key, wanted new tech which lead me to the Samsung 75” QLED. Next question was what series, 60, 70, 80 or 90. Ruled out 60 not because it isn’t a good TV, but because I wanted very good black levels. The 90 is stupid money. I looked at 70 & 80 series side by side for awhile going with the 80. Glad the set was on sale. Picture, colors and black level are amazing. Smart TV is smarter than ever. Bought Samsung Harmon Karden sound bar which paired perfectly.

This TV is amazing. Picture is so clear. We decided to go with this TV because it was brighter than the Q70 and it made a big difference. This TV also has the anti glare on it. It was easy enough to set up. We didn’t mount it on the wall so we set it up ourselves. The remote does take some time getting use to. The remote does control our cable box as well and we’re still getting use to it. People who don’t live in our house would never be able to operate it though, so that’s frustrating but I think it’s that way with a lot of smart TV’s nowadays.

Man this thing is big bright and beautiful, refresh rate it is great, gaming on this thing is just epic, movies are spectacular black blacks, strong sharp vibrant colors... On top of that Samsung offers sling free on TV's. The audio is truly impressive for what it is iv forgotten to turn on my system a few times and not even noticed for a bit. All in all very happy with my purchase I couldn't afford a LG C9 in this size 75" but I have 0 regrets Soo far with this purchase.

Pros: Our Samsung 75' Q80 TV is amazing. The clarity, sharpness and vibrancy are mesmerizing. The smart part of the unit makes streaming a breeze.
Cons: The remote is a bit limited. Need to have cable remote to change channels when not usung a streaming service.
Also, have turned the TV off and it will turn itself back on. That has happened 4 times, each times it pops back on a minute or two after turning it off. We make sure to unplug it if we are going away for a few days.

After weeks of research, hrs of reading reviews, and watching YouTube videos on various tvs, I opted to go with QLED 65", but because of the interest free purchase for 24 months via using Bestbuy credit card. opted to go with 75" instead with the Q70R soundbar and it has blown us away. Picture and sound are incredible. The smart features are also terrific. We've only had it a couple of weeks but this far we are most happy!! Hope it lasts us many years.
