Take the time to calculate for the best picture
I upgraded from a Samsung 65 7000, which looked awful until I got the calibration correct. The same can be said for the Q80, out of the box it looked bad. I tried several recommendations for settings but it was just not right. I ended up blending a few cal points to get it righ for me. You hear about the remote not being premium so what, it does what is needs to do. I really only use it at night when i hook up the bluetooth headphones. To help with the over all view which is super clean and bright i have a light behind the tv. Tried the LED light strip but ended up using LED bulb, this helps ease eye strain and puts out enough light to easily walk around the room at night. Many friends can't believe how nice the picture is even when sitting 6 ft. from the tv and just as good in the furthest seat at 15 ft. I mainly want the wide angle viewing since our seating is spread length ways in the room and the tv is in one corner. I read the Q80 had very good viewing angles and after seeing it compared to the Q70 there was no question the Q80 easily looked great no matter where i stood even at an angle I'd never have anyone sitting I don't gave much blooming with lettering on black backgrounds maybe because I don't have backlight maxed like several calibration recommendations said to do, mines set 35 on the Natural setting along with other adjustments. My room is bright with a large 8 ft window letting a lot of light in but this tv did not let that stop it from preforming great. Its so nice i now don't have to close the blinds while watching TV during the day. Is the Q80 perfect no but i have no regrets and would but it again. I highly recommend the Q80

I love this TV!
I have been looking at getting this TV for months! I finally pulled the trigger and bought it. I would like to thank everyone who did reviews on this TV. Even the person that gave it one star because after getting it setup it had a crack in it and was having problems with Bestbuy and Samsung pointing fingers at the other company to resolve the problem. My first recommendation is have Bestbuy deliver it and set it up. That way if there is a problem with the TV, it is up to Bestbuy to remedy the problem. The TV is about $2100, what is $199 more for the piece of mind that you aren't going to have problems from the get go. Now onto the TV performance. The picture is beautiful! 4K movies, Netflix and Xbox One and Playstation Pro look amazing on it. It even has a feature that when you start up one of the game systems it automatically switches into game mode. Another feature I like is that it has Netflix, Amazon Video and Hulu shortcuts on the remote that starts up each of these Apps. Pretty sure they are built into the TV. I have Hulu TV so it makes it nice that I have a shortcut to start up the app I use for TV. One thing I will say this being my first OLED 4K TV and it being 75", you can tell the difference pretty dramatically when something is 4K and when the broadcast is not 4K. Overall so far I love this TV. I bought the Q80 instead of the Q90 because of price. Talking with Bestbuy the only difference between the two is Samsung's One box. Which I have a friend that had a Samsung TV with the One box, and he tried to upgrade it and it blew the TV and had to get it repaired. I will deal with the extra cords. So I don't think it is really worth the extra money for the Q90.

One of the best TV’s
This is one of the best TV’s I have ever seen much less owned. The picture quality is great from every angle in my living room, the built speakers are the best I’ve ever heard from a TV. The input delay is super low which makes gaming so much easier and better quality. This is 100x better than my previous 4K TV. Little pricey but well worth the money.

Best TV I have ever had
My wife says I am OCD and I have bionic eyes because I usually find flaws in any TV. I have had all plasma TVs and never found an LCD TV I was happy with until this one. It has the amazing viewing angles, deep blacks, great motion, snappy smart features, and the list goes on.

Spectacular TV
Moving into a bigger house I knew I had to buy a much bigger TV to fill the space, and so I set my sights on a 75" or larger. Like most folks, I did tons of research, read lots of reviews, became way too familiar with Consumer Reports and Rtings scores, and generally geeked out with spreadsheets and price watches. I finally pulled the trigger on the 75" Q80 because of the preponderance of positive reviews across the board, because I loved it in the Best Buy store in person, and because -- for the money -- it was the best price point for a large screen premium TV. OLED's are probably a few degrees crisper but I didn't like the idea of paying substantially more and running the risk of burn in. The TV is spectacular. The settings and controls are pretty intuitive and easy to adjust. Ambient mode is such smart idea. I paired this with Samsung's Q80 Soundbar, and that, too is spectacular. There is a bit of a audio sync issue that I'm working to resolve. By the way, the TV is such a beast that I decided to have the Best Buy team deliver and install on the wall, and I'm glad I did. They were courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. No way one person could set that thing up!
