Delivered in good condition and on time. Installed myself. Only problem is, I am having a problem with audio delay when watching programming from Spectrum cable box. Watching Netflix or Prime through WiFi seems ok. Still in discussion with Samsung on how to correct.

Amazing picture and brightness but the anti glare creates rainbows all over the screen making it impossible to watch this tv in a lit room. This is a known issue since I went to Best Buy and told him I had the qn90a and he stopped me and asked if the rainbows were a problem. I have to return and get the cheaper model

Closest to OLED that there is.

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

OLED just isn’t for me. Had top of the line plasmas before and they get burned in news channel banners and game banners if you watch a lot of news or have kids that play a lot of games. I know OLED is not plasma, but it basically almost is. They also don’t last as long as claimed. Plus, our living room is a bright room where panel brightness matters. It is also a big room with the main sofa 19-20’ away from the TV. Saw the q85 side by side with LG OLEDS in Costco and it was a no brainer. I got the q90 and this TV is great. I think that a brighter panel works better when you are seated further away. I don’t know why, but it could be that if you sat at the “recommended” 7.5 to 10 feet away, it would be too bright. One thing very noticeable about this TV is that it takes about 2-3 weeks to get to its full potential. Especially with dark screen content. Another thing is that it is much easier to get the color and brightness settings where they need to be. But you will still have to make a lot of adjustments. Samsung has a great system for streaming services. The TV will also keep different picture settings for different apps. That’s important because, the picture you get from Netflix is very different than what you get from Disney+ or AppleTV. Games from PS5 look out of this world on this panel, with no lag. The sound is good, but we have a lower end LG 7300 panel from 2018 that uses the remote for room calibration and makes for much better, sound bar quality sound. Even so, the biggest surprise with this TV is how much better the home theatre sound is coming from the eARC on this TV. It sounds like I got a new receiver and speakers. I still can’t believe it. It’s a major increase in sound quality, imaging and depth. This TV is not perfect, though. Some dark scenes are still going to be a lot better on an OLED. And it’ll still take hours to get the picture set to get it close to OLED quality in the dark scenes. The remote and settings interface could be better. The minimalist remote has only 13 buttons and a directional pad. No numbers. To get channel numbers, you have to hit the “1 2 3” button and use the directional pad to select the horizontal onscreen numbers and the scroll up the enter them. The access to picture settings is similarly annoying, as it requires you to hit the home button, scroll left to settings and then to picture settings. It is a fancier more modern remote and interface, but not necessarily better. However, the small remote will grow on you. It also has a solar recharging panel on it, so no batteries—ever. It is also very responsive, so it won’t take forever to enter your passwords into the apps. For movies, I notice almost no blooming at all. The only time it has been detectable is watching the original Star Wars movies. When the scene is a still image of space, with a single space ship flying by, the stars around the space ship get a little brighter as it passes by. But that’s the only time it’s noticeable. And it’s not every scene like this in every movie. Only certain scenes. So, I say the bloom issue is drastically exaggerated. The bloom testing done by most websites is bogus, because it is tested with all tech turned off. There is no point to the testing at that point. I have seen a lot of complaints about the anti glare coating on the panel. I don’t think it’s as terrible as some might say, but it is a serious flaw in a TV in this price range. My bottom of the line LG 65” TV deals with reflections on the screen far better than this. To the point that I do not believe anyone that says this TV has an anti glare or anti reflection coating on it. To me, it looks more like a shine coating, because people prefer shiny panels. I actually read that. That people are more likely to buy a TV with a shiny screen than one with anti-glare technology. And I think that that’s what this is. A shine coating. Another flaw is the auto brightness and picture settings. Turn them all off. They are inconsistent and useless. Overall, I still rate this 5 stars, because even with its flaws, this is as good as LCD gets. OLED, at least, IMO, is still not perfected. There is still a long way to go in brightness, durability, reliability, color and especially white balance. I cannot stand having a TV that requires you to set it so that white is permanently off white either to the pink or to the yellow. I’m sorry, but if calibration means white has to be off white, it ain’t calibration. I cannot stand reading expert articles about how a picture that is too warm to display true white is perfectly calibrated. Until these issues are resolved, I’m sticking with LED LCD. This TV can produce true white, it’s also bright, reliable and has better color. I’ll take that over a tiny increase in dark screen performance any day. Once you turn off the lights the difference is minimal.

I was very excited about this purchase. Picture was excellent in the store but not so much at home and also in my excitement I ignored the very cardinal and awful rainbow reflection on the screen. Samsung says no service needed. This TV is amazing! The picture quality is crisp and clear. The colors are vibrant. The graphics are ridiculously defined. Learning how to apply the settings for the selected programming was simple to learn. My tv is mounted on the living room wall with a sliding back door, and there is absolutely no glare whatsoever. I paired my tv with a Sonos soundbar and woofer, and I can actually feel the sound in my body; it's captivating! And to top off everything, the remote is charged with solar energy. The only thing I can say is money well spent. This TV is highly recommended if your looking for an amazing experience every time you watch tv.

This QLED is what an OLED should be ... but isn't!

Invested in an LG OLED 5 years ago only to watch the picture slowly degrade, meaning burn in (lots of it) and large sections of the screen become unwatchable due to the loss of accurate color. I researched the many options for 2021 TVs and decided that the new Mini-LED tech was what I needed. I considered the QN90A among others and the Samsung product had much of what I was looking for. My only hesitation was the lack of DolbyVision and the price. When BB put this baby on sale, I jumped and am extremely glad I did. The picture is amazing! Colors and brightness are excellent, settings and adjustments are very user friendly and the overall design is very thin and attractive. A couple of negatives, and they are minor, the "cable management" channels on the back of the TV won't hold anything in place no matter how many times I try and the sound, while acceptable is not sufficient for movie night. The blacks rival anything I ever saw from my OLED and the "blooming" I have seen discussed in some online videos is non-existent and I have tried every conceivable viewing angle. Believe me when I say, no blooming. I know that the 65 inch has close to 800 dimming zones and I would assume this 75 inch has more and, as a result, there is minimal black "crushing" and shadow details are much better than on my old OLED. Overall impressions after one week are that I made a great choice and am truly enjoying what I believe to be the best TV I have ever owned.

      Hi PSRick,

Thank you for choosing Samsung’s new 2021 QN90A Neo QLED 4K Smart TV. We think you made a great choice too! I'm happy to hear that our Quantum Matrix Technology is delivering great black levels and superb color. The intense picture is powered by our exclusive Mini LED designed technology for hyper-focused brightness and dimming in all the right areas. Your feedback on the cable management design is much appreciated and will be shared with our internal teams.

Your new TV features Object Tracking Sound, as well as SpaceFit Sound which optimizes sound tailored to your environment and Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) which further detects disturbances and enhances the on-screen voices for clear dialogue.

Go to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Turn the options on or off to meet your needs:
      - Active Voice Amplifier is available only when the sound sensor of the TV is active and the sound output is set to TV Speaker, or a Samsung Soundbar interlinked with Adaptive Picture is connected.
      - Adaptive Sound+ provides optimized sound quality by analyzing the viewing space and the acoustic components of the content
      - Adaptive Volume Automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV.

Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode

Object Tracking Sound provides you with 6 strategically placed dynamic speakers that track the action and move the sound around you. If you have, or plan on pairing your TV with a Samsung Q-Series Soundbar, please take advantage of Q-Symphony which synchronizes both your TV speakers and soundbar to give you an excellent surround experience.

I hope these tips help! This TV is worth every penny! I have mine in a bright living room and it performs very well. Absolutely love how bright it can get. This is about on par for cost with OLED's and the picture is honestly about the same. Very impressive ability to produce great blacks. Contrast is great. The upscaling is also very impressive. I had a Dolby Vision TV before this and it's nothing to miss. If you are worried about missing Dolby Vision, I promise you won't on this TV because of how bright and beautiful the picture quality it! Big plus is if you have a Samsung sounder. I have a q950a and the q-symphony works very well and makes everything more immersive. 10/10 would recommend.

Hopefully this helps most prospective buyers...I think this is an amazing TV at the discounted sale price. I'm sure there is variation amongst sets, but I don't understand why youtubers are claiming there is blooming. I notice very little blooming on this TV at all. This TV blows the Q80T out of the water and on sale is/was basically the same price. There is a depth to this TV that was missing on other sets. Images from other sets appeared flat to me. I haven't noticed any issues with gaming either. I will not compare to OLED because I have kids that game and they leave states images on the TV for 6 hours. If you like LED and want a bright tv with almost no blooming with great color, this is the one.

Amazing color and lighting! Can't say enough about this tv. This replaced our 65" Vizio we purchased from Sam's Club in 2016. A HUGE difference in quality, sound, color, lighting, and use. I was unsure about switching to Samsung with airplay after using Chromecast all those years, but I am loving this way better than casting to the Vizio. The clarity is amazing! Sound just from the speakers is great! Vizio we had to use a soundbar in order to hear anything..but so far we haven't needed the soundbar at all even though its connected to the tv. Loving the rechargeable remote too!

Stunning TV with a few livable quirks. I spent hours researching the best TV for our budget and setup. This went a little over budget, but it was worth it. The main contenders were Q90T, a couple Sony options, and LG OLED options. This one on sale made the jump from the Q90T a no brainer, and I lost interest in Sony's offerings along the way for reasons I don't even remember now. I was already leaning towards the QN90A because I was worried about the potential lack of brightness with OLED options (going into our always bright living room), and then a sale on the Samsung came along and sealed the deal. So far this has been excellent for everything we've thrown at it. Shows and movies are a joy to watch. Xbox Series X gaming is a whole other league, especially when the game supports 120hz. The UI is the best I've used, much better than my previous favorite Roku, and everything about the TV is very fast and responsive. The viewing angles are also very impressive. I paired this with a Samsung soundbar (HW-Q850A) in order to use Q-Symphony, which I actually suspected was going to be a gimmick. I love it. Atmos works great, and the sound really does feel like it is coming from everywhere. Even before I got the soundbar set up, I was surprised how good the sound was from the TV alone. There is some blooming on the TV for sure, but I only notice it when I'm either looking for it or spending time in the Xbox console menus. It really isn't bad though. The biggest quirk is actually the rainbow effect that occurs with direct light reflections. I was surprised how bad it was actually, and we had to solve it by moving our lights around a bit. I've now had the TV for going on 2 months, and I'm very happy with this choice. It would still be my pick if I had to do it again, especially when on sale (and it seems to be more often than not).

My first 4K tv. Love it. The picture quality is fantastic. It turns on quickly. Remote is easy to use. I like the free Live TV channel selection and the free movies I get. The colors are brilliant and the blacks seem truer then my 12 year old Samsung HD. Smart TVs have come along way since that. I bought the QN90A because I couldn’t get the Q90T. I wanted the backlights and anti reflection. So I’m back to closing blinds and curtains. Overall, it’s an impressive tv and I’m looking forward to upgrading my old Samsung sound bar with a new one to complete the experience.
