      Bcbc,

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung QN90A TV and for your feedback on the protective film. Please know the film is in place to protect your TV's screen during transit, and the stickers you are seeing are located on the film, rather than the TV screen. If you tried removing the film and only removed the blue tab or a small portion, please affix a piece of adhesive tape to where the blue tab was and try removing the film again.

We appreciate you sharing details of your image quality as well. Quantum Matrix Technology is powered by exclusive Mini LED designed technology engineered to give you hyper-focused brightness and dimming in all the right areas. To optimize your picture quality, please be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1560.5 which includes picture quality updates. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

If this firmware version is not yet available on your TV, you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV:
      1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manuals & Software > Find your TV model.
      2. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.)
      3. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV.
      4. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes.
      5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.

I hope these tips help! Should you ever have questions or need help, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM -12AM EST M-F (9AM – 6PM EST Sat). Or text HELP to 62913.

The tv was great, screen was beautiful and Beat Buy did a wonderful job selling me on it. Samsung on the other hand is awful! 1 week after warranty expired, the screen lost a 3 inch band through the middle of the screen and they said it was not their problem. After paying almost $4,000 for it new a year (and one week) ago, you’d think it could last longer than this thing did. Now I am off to buy another new TV, but it will never be a Samsung again!

    BEWARE

Several Complaints. I just got the TV installed this week, and the picture was BAD. Someone told me I needed to make sure I had a 4K cable box, so I drove down to cable company to get one. Cable Company told me they do NOT have 4k. Maybe picture would be better with a 4k box?? It is NOT good now. MY other major complaint is that I have tintinitus (ear ringing) in my ears, which unfortunately I have had for sometime. NEVER had a problem with ANY TV causing my ears problems previously; however, Samsung QN90A does emit strong electronic signals that irritate my ears. ANYONE with tintinitus BEWARE!! I would strongly advise buying any other TV. Another complaint I have with this TV is the remote control (without numbers). I now have 4 Samsung TVs in my house working that I & my family really like, but my family is not happy with this new remote. Doing some research I found some companies on some TVs are using this remote, but it is not difficult to find a good remote. BEFORE purchasing ANY TV, I would advise you to look at what remote you will be getting. I am do NOT like the QN90A remote. My 2 biggest complaints are the electronic noise irritating my ears, and the POOR picture on the TV. TV now is on wall in living room presently NOT being used till it can be replaced by a better TV. I would appreciate any advice people can give me. My understanding is about 5-6% of people in USA have tintinitus (ear ringing). It is not constant, but it is provoked by certain electronic noises. This is FIRST TV to ever hurt my ears. I hope it is the last, but I am a little scared now.

      Hi samsungloser,

Thank you for your review of the QN90A TV. We appreciate you sharing your experience with hearing an odd sound coming from your TV. Abnormal sounds will have different causes depending on where the sound originates from. Is the sound coming from your speakers, or is your TV connected to an external audio device like a soundbar? If so, please make sure that the audio cable is connected to the correct audio output connector on the external device.

For antenna or cable connections, check the Signal Information. A low signal level may cause sound distortions. Go to: Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information

If the sound is coming from the back of the TV, the expansion and contraction of the TV's outer casing may cause a popping noise. This does not indicate a product malfunction. The TV is safe to use.

Additionally, your TV utilizes high-speed switching circuits and high levels of electrical current. Depending on the TV's brightness level, the TV may seem slightly noisier than a conventional TV. Your TV has undergone strict quality control procedures that meet our performance and reliability requirements. The noise coming from the TV that you have described is considered normal.

You may also want to run a Sound Test by going to :
Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Sound Test

To assist you in the learning the various features, functions, and settings of your new Solar Cell remote, you can download the Solar Cell Remote Guide directly from Samsung’s website under ‘Support’ (top right corner) > Manuals & Software > TVs & Home Theater. From there, you can select the QN90A under Samsung Neo QLED 4K. Additionally, you can find other guides and manuals to further assist you with your TV’s features.

I hope these tips help! Should you ever have questions or need help, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.
