Dissapointed
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not even a month after purchaing the TV, I started having issues with the TV. The screen will turn black but you could hear the content playing. At times, you'll turn up the volume and the TV would shut off.

Wrong Specification
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I selected and bought this product because the specification presented by Best Buy were perfect for my need. But it was perfectly wrong. Best Buy specification:- Connectivity: Number of Digital Optical Audio Outputs : 2 but Actually 1 Number of Component Video Inputs : 3 Actually : " None" My old home theter system(Sony DAV-C990) has no HDMI and unable to connect to this TV. I'm thinking to return.

Terrible
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had it for a year and a half and it’s just randomly turning off and on by itself with a black screen. A lot of money to have to replace after a year and a half. Won’t buy another Samsung.

Bought from Sams Club instead
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never got to actually see the tv. When I took it out of the box there was a big crack on the screen. Took me about 3 days and hours of calls to get the tv returned with no replacement or comp offered for the same price.

Thank you for purchasing the 82" TU6950. I am very sorry you are experiencing issues with your TV turning on and off. This may be a power cycling issue, and you can try a few troubleshooting steps which may help.
1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection.
2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.
3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
4) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
5) TVs which can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.
If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will likely need service. Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you towards a solution or replacement.

Lasted less than 3 years.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv worked great at first, I had a 2 year warranty and I had the TV mounted on the wall the entire time, no issues. However once the TV was 2 years and 7 months old, the picture completely went out on it. Had a tv repair guy check it out and was told the panel went out (which is apparently a common issue with these type of tvs) and it would cost $1,700.00 just for the replacement part. Not worth it to fix it, unfortunately this tv is not made to last.
