Lousey installation No sound 2 weeks before a geek can come out and the big game this sunday

This tv has a known issue and doesn’t happen until after the warranty has expired.

Love the picture and all the goodies that go with this monster. Used the Bestbuy delivery and installation service and all went as smooth as silk. Using with a Sonos surround sound system and I could not be more pleased. Got a great deal. Highly recommend for those looking for a big screen at a reasonable price

This TV is of the very best. 82" screen very nice, allowing for full visible detail in 4K programs. Absolutely no negatives. I've just been reading previous reviews from unhappy people. Either they had faulty TVs (unlikely) or they connected an old VHS player. This TV is stellar when fed with Blu-ray 1080p or 4K UHD programming. I love it and so does my wife.

An assume TV. Functions amazingly. Would recommend.

FIRST OF ALL TV IS NOT AS GREAT OF A PICTURE AS SEEN IN STORE ONCE YOU SET IT UP IN YOUR HOME, ALSO THIS TV WOULD TURN ITSELF OFF FOR NO REASON ABOUT 6 TIMES IN THE FIRST 4 MONTHS OF OWNING IT. I WAS WATCHING PLAYOFF FOOTBALL GAME MONDAY NIGHT AND TV TURNED ITSELF OFF AGAIN, THEN CAME BACK ON AND SAID SAMSUNG SMART TV THEN KEPT DOING THIS UNTIL JUST STOPPED TURNING ON. I AM NOW WAITING FOR CALL FROM SERVICE CENTER BEEN 2 DAYS AND STILL NO CONTACT, NOT HAPPY AND WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT BUYING THIS TV

I just spent an hour on the phone and on a chat with Samsung support. They are ignorant to the converted HDMI issue and their bottom line policy is the Mini interface module should only be used with direct HDMI sources and not with any converter equipment. This renders the Samsung equipment that exclusively uses the Mini interface useless with a large amount of existing equipment owned by consumers that have standard RCA, S-Video or YPbPg composite video output only. If you own any of that equipment and do not want to throw it away, be warned Samsung only guarantees operation with straight HDMI sources. I have tried multiple converters from several manufacturers and none are recognized by the Mini interface even though they work with other HDMI TV's. If I would have known this I would not have made the purchase. In addition, none of the people I spoke with had enough technical background to explain why there would be a compatibility issue with an industry standard HDMI source, directly or through a converter. Anyone contemplating the purchase of a Samsung product needs to be made aware of this major issue of backward compatibility.

I bought this TV on 11/28/17, and on 2/28/18 it won't turn on. No lights, no errors, nothing. I called both Best Buy and Samsung, and both acknowledge that it is under warranty. They plan to send someone out next week to look at it, but really? The TV is under 90 days old, and I have to spend a week with no TV? Unacceptable.
